Someone attacked last night, or tried to. I had been asleep the whole time but I remember someone standing over me in the middle of the night. His sharp claws elongated and he swiftly tried slicing through my exposed neck. My wolf had quickly shot my hand out to block and then to attack. i didn't know how badly she hurt the person but when I woke up this morning I remembered what had happened and there was a lot of blood by the side of my bed and it's wet trail out the door. The noise of the people surrounding me got me back to the present. I was in Alpha one A, one of the three classes under Alpha one. And we were currently having a techniques and analysis class. And it was boring."I'll be taking over from here" said Jonathan to the professor currently taking us as he walked into the hall.I yawned loud because I hadn't had as much sleep as I would have liked to, and I would really like it if everyone went quiet so I could have it.Jonathan's eyes skimmed everyone until it landed
Several weeks went by and I fully adjusted into the system of the Academy. The early morning classes and whole day training. I couldn't believe anything could be more exerting than Mr Gregory's training but this was, but just by a little bit. They focused here more on endurance training than anything else. Making sure we could fight for hours on end without feeling fatigue. We spent the other parts of the week going through fighting techniques and rescue mission schemes that I wanted to leave at the end of the day, but I didn't.Gossip around me did whine down like Jonathan had predicted. People still gave me weird stares but I was already used to that.We were presently in Monday training class, one of my very favourite classes of the week. This one even more so. Commander Matt had decided that we were now worthy of numbers instead of just calling us "hey you" and hence he named us numbers from one till thirty. till the last person. "It's been a month today since we all stood he
"You all should leave. You don't want what would happen if you stayed" said.Emily, she looked menacing.Teresa and her clique were watching us, trying to figure out if we were serious. We were deadly.I glanced at Emily for a second, trying to ascertain how serious she was being. I knew she was skilled. She must have had to be if she passed all the trials and got admitted here. I didn't have to worry about protecting her if things got shitty.I walked over to where the girl stood over Bryan. She stepped back then another, I guess she knew from the look on my face that I meant business."Get up" I snapped at the guy on the floor. hated weakness. He shuffled slowly to his feet before standing, but his face was cast down, almost ashamed."Look at her," I said.I waited until his tears stained face looked at me before it went to the girl"She has probably fucked all the fuckables in this school and beyond. It's not just her body that has taken damage but her brain as well. Imagine she
The academy was being extra busy, even more so than usual. I could see as several large trucks got in and passed through the roads into the dense forest behind the school. The excitement amongst students and others heightened until all everybody could talk about was the fighting realm. Class went on as usual though amongst us, the Commanders being extra taxing because they were all tensed, everybody was.I could even see it among ourselves, the slight hesitation or the fast action towards something, especially during training.I and Emily had decided to go and register ourselves for the realm two days before the week started. The competitions of the fighting realm usually took up a whole week. And I heard that there was a huge stadium behind the school where we had audiences from all over coming to watch, which explained what the trucks had been doing here. They were preparing for it.The fighting realm competition took seven days. The first day was all about introducing the four A
The podium was tense, as it should be. The past five days had been the most exciting and exhilarating thing that had ever happened to me, to us in general as a class. We had failed and hurt and cheered together, a few had even shed tears. We have had victories and defeats and we have had several of our mates beaten so bad we all thought they were all going to die. But we had made it, we were still thirty just like we were in the beginning, no one had died even though some had been severely injured.I felt as if the fighting realm more than anything had brought us closer together, had gotten to know names of everybody and I had opened my heart in a way I never did.The evil that is in my soul, that had been slowly eating away at my humanity, the evil that was King Hades had finally left me, because of my class and was back to being Cassie Hades, the one that had dreams. I was happy. We had finally chosen the person that would be representing the whole class, and I was glad. Emily was
"It's so funny how I am not in the least bit worried. Are you?" I said to Emily. We had been walking for quite sometime, going in the direction we thought we could find a gem. We had said nothing the entire time until I spoke."How about you keep quiet and let me concentrate" she replied stiffly. My gaze went to her and I watched her body language, she was...trying too hard. I didn't want to worry but her actions were worrying me. I said nothing after that.It wasn't long before the smell of Alphas hit me and quickly stopped. I placed a hand on her shoulder and sighed, letting her know someone new was not too far from where we were. She nodded in acknowledgement. We became stealthier as we moved admist the trees and the wet ground. The smell of petichor helped camouflage us from them, but it couldn't hide them from me.We moved closer and hid under some bushes and watched them. I looked around and only saw four wolves guarding their gem, nobody else was there.I quickly tried assessi
We went back as silently as we had arrived, stealthily and quietly moving through the forest. We arrived just when a fight was ending. I could see incapacitated wolves on the ground groaning in pain, most of them not our own.I looked around and saw Emmanuel limping, there was a huge tear on his shin which was slowly closing up. Mitchel was seated grinning from ear to ear on one of the wolves on the floor."Damn it" shouted Emmanuel and he walked towards where we stood watching everything."How did it go?" He asked."We are good" I replied, still looking around at the Carnage that had happened.I nodded at the other three students, they looked fine. They nodded back, one of them even smiled."I think another group should go. That way we won't exhaust our strength by going after them one after the other" said Emily. She walked past me and sat with her back on a tree, she looked drained"Okay then. Give us a minute to recover. I and Mitchel will go" he replied as he walked back.I nodd
"Noooooooooo......" Mitchel's mouth was saying the words but I was not hearing. The sound of their gem hitting the ground added to the ringing in my ears and my eyes were becoming hazy. My wolf was awake and she wanted to play.Fuck.Emily was out of Teresa's hands and into mine in an instant, I cradled her head between my arms as I bent low and laid her on the ground. I didn't know if she was going to make it at this point or not, it looked very bad."And the winner of this year's class team fight is Alpha One A!" Shouted Commander Matt on the microphone. Shouts and screams of the viewers reached us but for me it was nothing, it was all background noise. My eyes were riveted on Emily, trying to find out if there was a lot of damage and if I should get help.I scooped her up in my arms and ran towards where I thought the entrance had been. I found the elevator open and got in as fast as I could. It automatically closed and took us up back to the centre of the arena. I was out and ru
