Chapter Eleven.

Evelyn's POV.

"Evelyn, are you okay? "Olivia's voice broke my trance.

I hesitated, forcing myself to focus on her. "Yeah, I'm fine," I replied, trying to sound casual.

Olivia nodded, eyeing me skeptically. "You seem lost in thought, staring at your phone."

I chuckled awkwardly, trying to brush it off. "It's nothing, really."

But my mind was still reeling from the message I'd just received. Alex wanted to go on a date? It made no sense. We weren't even friends. What could he possibly achieve from this?

If I said no, then he won't help me out, but if I said yes how am I going to discard Olivia and Ethan?

I'm stuck in this house with these bastards. As I sat there, pretending to listen to Olivia's chatter, my mind was racing.

Olivia said, "Let me leave you to rest. If you need anything, let me know." I nodded and forced a smile, saying "Thank you."

She closed the door, and I collapsed onto the bed, letting out a tired sigh. I was frustrated that Alex was causing me mo
