What's Wrong in Chapter 20?

POV of Freya

Having heard Silas's nervous explanation, I could make more sense of what had transpired and was immediately entertained by the whole situation. "It seems that I have misunderstood you a lot."

"Freya, don't worry. You have plenty of time to get to know me better on your terms." He answered with a grin that stretched to his eyes.

I noticed a rapid change in my expression when he said that. I had no idea if Silas and I would be together in the future. I was only an ignorant lady who had been harmed by witches and misled by her husband, while he was a contender for the title of great Alpha King and had a large, strong pack and an exquisite, gentle mother.

Silas picked up on my altered mood immediately, and because I didn't respond, he moved the conversation. "I wanted to invite you here because I still have something important to say."

"Oh?"

He guided me to a chair so I could sit down by taking my hand. He stared at me as he poured me a cup of tea
