Soon, afternoon came, it was lunchtime.
“I’m done. I can’t go through all of them at all,” Nick sighs, taking off his light blue coat, loosening his red striped tie, and placing the coat onto the table.
“It’s too soon to give up,” Chelsa replied. She was done half-checking all of them.
“All of them has higher experience level than us. Why were we even chosen with our standard?” Zoe mumbled.
“I heard you,” Nick added.
“I’m out of coffee, gotta bring some. Keep working everyone,” he left with a wave.
After Nick left, Lucy and others were doing work. But then Lucy noticed it was lunchtime when she turned the clock on her table.
“At this rate, I won’t be able to have lunch with him. I have half an hour to leave. What should I do with this bunch of papers?”.
After thinking about it for a while, Lucy made up her mind.
“E
“So, did you managed to find any person who can work under a sadist like you?” Robin comments with a chuckle.“Sadist?” Lucy gave a surprised glance at him in confusion.“Who are you calling sadist? I am more kind than you think I am. I know I’m too demanding and bossy, but that’s part of my job.”“I know.”“But we couldn’t manage to find anyone. Hope they’ll find a better person for the job. Anyway, I wanna take a nap. Do you have any plans for the evening?” Lucy asked casually.“Plans? Well….no. why?”.“Well….the thing is….i want to do some shopping. Wanna accompany me?”.She faced her back against him while saying that.“What? You want to…..she’s asking me on a date, isn’t she?”.“This is….the chance isn’t it?”.“Do you not
Lucy tackled him and he couldn’t lean onto anything for support and the rack of clothes behind him fell also. Lucy backed away and spotted a white dress among the bunch of dresses. “What is that?” she became curious to find out about it. When she moved closer and picked it up from the ground. “Ouch,” Robin cried out, asking for help while lying in the savanna of clothes. When she stared at the dress and observed it closely, her cheeks brightened red. “You were hiding this?” she stuttered. “Eh?” he looked at her to find them sitting with the dress in her hand. He was also shocked. “She found it after all?”. After that, none of them spoke to each other and Robin just stood outside the corner so that he won’t have to face the awkward silence. He heaved a sigh, leaning onto the wall, watching people come and go. He sneaked sometimes to check on her. A
Christina’s elbow was injured, but what was more painful was that the guy whom she had been yearning for years, pushed her away like nothing. This brought tears to her eyes.He faced his back against her, to gain some composure. He heaved a deep sigh, and inhaled again. Fixing his clothes, he wiped away his mouth with the sleeves and turned to face his best friend.“Christina, I want to make this clear to you. Stop forcing yourself on me! Lucy and I, still haven’t divorced yet, and we are not married, so till then……behave……please.”He got down and searched for his phone and found it lying beside her. He took it and turned on the power. He checked the call logs.“You have a voice mail.”He opened it up.“Lucy here, I haven’t managed to find you anywhere. If you manage to spot me, come and find me near the door of the restaurant. I’ll be waiting.”
Robin finished the turkey before Lucy got to finish, and she just saw him sitting with a bloated belly, and was smiling at him awkwardly.“I ate too much,” he rubbed his hand over his belly heaving a sigh and noticing his wife’s stare.“What is it? Why are you staring at me?”.Lucy chuckled. “Watching how you ate all of that up like nothing. Do you know how many calories does that contain?”.“Ah……..No, and I can care less about it.”“I’m happy and content with the food I had. That’s all that matters to me.”“Is that really enough to be happy?” she asked, staring at the reflection of herself in the glass which she held onto.“Success is not the meter which counts your happiness. You can find happiness anywhere in the world, not just with material goods. Not having enough money will bring you happiness. It will assure you, but n
“You are…?” Lucy became puzzled a little cause she doesn’t know her exactly. Robin stepped forward and walked over to Noir’s side.“Are you out for something?” he asked.“No! I’m here to see you two, that’s all,” she said, placing her hand on the side of his cheek and placing a light kiss on it also.“To see us?” Lucy was surprised by her act.The grin on Noir’s face was not hidden from anyone.“Oops! I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to kiss your husband right in front of your very own eyes. Just treat it as a little joke, will you?” Noir asked with a chuckle. She even placed one hand over his shoulder, to pull him close to hers.“I’m his friend from kindergarten. Nice to meet you, Miss Wife.”“I’m Lucy Campbell,” she stated, stepping forward with a straightforward gaze.“Oh&helli
Later that night in Lucy’s house,They were preparing to go to sleep.“I’m done with the bed, you can go to sleep,” Robin said to his wife who was standing near the corner of the bed, wearing her nightdress, and drying off her hair using the towel in her hand.“Goodnight,” he said walking away from there towards the sofa where he usually plays.Lucy placed away from the towel, jumped onto the bed, and sat, watching her husband trying to make the sofa comfy with the blanket and pillow. She was clenching onto the bed cover and was feeling a little bit guilty. In the end, she made up her mind when she recalled the incidents throughout the day.“If it’s not the time when is it then?”.“Stop what you are doing,” she called, raising her voice.Robin was alarmed. So he stopped doing what he was doing and placed away from the blanket which he took with him by a si
Soon the morning came, Robin woke up earlier, as he was the only one who couldn’t sleep no matter what. Bags formed under his eyes, making him look half-asleep. “I should prepare breakfast and get her clothes ironed.” He was cooking, all of a sudden his phone ringed. He was making soup, he turned off the gas, and went to pick up the phone. “Hello,” he took a seat on the chair. “Young master, this is me, Chris. Good morning.” “Oh, Chris. Good morning. How are you?”. “I’m doing well all thanks to you. But how are you doing? Everything going alright with the young lady?”. “Ah….yes.” “What did you call for early in the morning?”. “Well….master told me to give you some instructions. You have work.” “Work? For a useless son like me?”. “Yes, and please don’t call
When they walked out of the lift, Lucy walked out, towards their new department. She opens up the door and is greeted by Chelsa. “Good morning.” Lucy also greeted back, “Good morning. When did you come? Aren’t you too early?”. “Yes, but when I thought someone new would be joining us, I couldn’t hide the urge to look cool in front of the new person so that he’ll at least respect us, that’s why.” “He?”. “Take a seat first, the others will arrive one by one,” Chelsa guided her towards her seat. The cabin was different than the old one they used to stay in. She went to her seat and looked at the things. Chelsa came and placed the files on her table. “There are some boxes left to arrive from our old room. Would you mind helping me bring them from the old room to this room?”. “Ah, sure.” They were busy till Nick and Zoe arrived. They also helped them out and eventually they manag
