Invitation

''The operation is a success, she's all fine now,'' said the doctor assuring Zoe. He had been waiting outside the operation theatre all morning to hear that. '' Thank you, doctor, I can't thank you enough,'' Zoe said as tears were falling down his eyes. 

'' When Will I be able to see her?''. '' In the afternoon, she can speak to you.'' 

Zoe waited till the afternoon to visit his sister. When he was allowed to go inside he went and sat near her bed. '' Brother, are you here?'' Mary called in a low voice. '' Yes, I am here don't worry,'' said Zoe gripping hold of her hand. 

'' I am, alive,'' she said staring at his face. '' They said I am not going to survive the surgery.''
