A happy act
Christina’s elbow was injured, but what was more painful was that the guy whom she had been yearning for years, pushed her away like nothing. This brought tears to her eyes.
He faced his back against her, to gain some composure. He heaved a deep sigh, and inhaled again. Fixing his clothes, he wiped away his mouth with the sleeves and turned to face his best friend.
“Christina, I want to make this clear to you. Stop forcing yourself on me! Lucy and I, still haven’t divorced yet, and we are not married, so till then……behave……please.”
He got down and searched for his phone and found it lying beside her. He took it and turned on the power.
He checked the call logs.
“You have a voice mail.”
He opened it up.
“Lucy here, I haven’t managed to find you anywhere. If you manage to spot me, come and find me near the door of the restaurant. I’ll be waiting.”
