The auction

It's been three fucking hours and the little Alpha has been all about discussing whatever it is I didn't even pay attention about.

Usually this kind of matters are handled by my beta but Leo is out of the pack. That leaves me , the Lycan King, to listen to some stupid proposals made by a young and ignorant alpha of a small pack under my rule.

As the Lycan King, I rule over all the other packs and they have to discuss every important matter about their pack with me.

That's how it has always been but there's nothing I loathe like sitting for hours listening to things I have least Interest with so that leaves Leo to handle such petty matters.

My head is occupied with the news about the new arrivals to the auction that will be held two hours from now.

Known as the heartless and mateless king, I get to satsify my sexual needs by buying a few sex slaves. We lycans are known to have a strong sex drive and that's why I personally pick my sex slaves.

I kicked my last one out of my pack when she started asking for more than I could give her.

I don't know what came over her to think that I'll take her as my Luna. Others might not know how nonchalant I behave when others ask about my mate, but deep down, I have been waiting for her.

Waiting for the day the moon Goddess will grant me a fated mate. I never entertained the idea of choosing a mate for myself. My father had been up and going with that matter, but I remained adamant about not choosing any woman for myself.

I believed that the moon Goddess would bring her to me one day.

With my father gone,I thought I would at least get some time off, but that was a far fetched dream for me.

The council has been on my neck, urging me to get a queen but as usual, I have been turning them down.

I don't just want anybody, I want my fated. She's the only one worth standing by my side.

" I think that's enough for today." I cut the alpha off, his presentation boring the hell out of me.

' I'll have Leo meet him the next time he comes.' I said to myself, swearing to never involve myself in this kind of talk.

I would prefer if he's asking me to deal with our enemies or something that will test my powers and strengths and not such matters to exhaust my brain.

" We should continue with this discussion tomorrow, I'll spare some time for you." I lied with a straight face, knowing fully well that Leo will be around to handle him tomorrow.

He nodded, agreeing to my suggestion, not like he could defy me. Everybody knew that defying even the slightest of my orders would bring you ugly consequences.

" How about you accompany me somewhere?" I offered. Since Leo was not around, I might as well use the little Alpha for company. I did not miss the surprised look on his face. He must be surprised that a man of my reputation could casually ask him to accompany me but I didn't like going to such places on my own so I figured I would really need someone and since he was already here, why not?

Besides, he's an alpha himself and might be interested in getting himself something at the auction.

I headed to my room and in less than an hour, we hit the road. Of course, everybody drove in his own car.

I don't like sharing my rides with anybody with the exception of my sister Samantha and my beta, Leo.

The auction was thirty minutes drive from my pack and with no time, we were already there.

The room was beautifully decorated, especially the arena. Making me wonder why they would even do that? The auction is scheduled once every month and everybody coming here has a reason,to either bring his auction items or buy something from here.

Taking my usual position on the second floor, I ask for a drink for me and Alpha Logan. That's what my beta called him yesterday when he was reporting his visit to my pack.

Cheers and howls filled the room as different ' items' were presented for auctioning.

An hour later and I was starting to get bored. So far, no new girl caught my attention.

They were either too weak or not to my taste.

" The next item is our last and very special. The first bidding starts at ten hundred dollars. She's a virgin and not mated." The bidder announced, successfully catching my attention.

The arena was filled with cheers as everyone anticipated the reveal of today's special item as they called it.

I wasn't surprised that her bidding price was increased by a few hundred dollars. After all, it's very rare to find a virgin and unmated wolf being auctioned.

My curiosity was piqued but I wasn't interested in virgins.

I prefer my sex slaves to be experienced in bed and strong enough to put up with my great stamina.

The doors were pushed open and there emerged a lady in a red icon dress. From the curves, I could tell she's one hell of a hot lady. If she wasn't a virgin, I could have considered getting her. Money has never been a problem to me and I could afford almost everything in this life.

Her steps were graceful and calculated as she made her way to the arena, clearly nervous from how her eyes were darting around the big room.

Her eyes looked up and I happened to be looking at her. Our eyes locked and I heard two voices at the same time.

" Maya" Alpha Logan said, his eyes narrowing at the lady standing at the arena.

" Mate." Danger, my wolf growled inside my head, a sweet scent of Jasmine mixed with blueberries filling my nose as my eyes remained locked with the lady in red.
