Chapter 27: The irrational man

The Following day;

"I'm glad you're here Carlos. It's been long we've had you here." Queen mother said.

"I know mother, but you should tell that to your dear son. He stopped inviting me over." Carlos called her mother because to him, she was his mother. His parents died when he was very young, which left his kingdom without a king. Back then, it was the late king of Devon who helped to run the kingdom with the ministers and chiefs, since he was very close to his parents. So all of that made him see her as his mother and Alexander as his brother.

"You know how he is, and the war isn't helping either. Tell me, have you gotten yourself a lady to marry?"

Carlo's face turned serious. "No mother, I'm not ready for that yet." Queen mother sighed. "You and Alexander are the same. Why can't you two understand that you need a queen by your side, A companion." They were in the open garden.

"Alex dosen't want to get married either uhh?"
