chapter 2

Alexander's POV:

Looking around for my son Zack has been stressful. All my boys and men are around the house, thinking about where he could be. You see, I lost my daughter when she was 5, and we have been looking for her for a long time now. I honestly gave up, as did some of my sons, except for Zack and Ryan. However, my other sons moved on, saying their sister was dead. I have 5 sons, which is a lot to handle.

"Dad, we found Zack's tracker," my first son Leo called out to me. We all gathered around him and found the location. It was just 8 hours away from where we stayed. Telling Leo to get more guns and get the cars started, and with that, we all went out.

I can't afford to lose another child.

8 hours later, we gathered at this old house. It was really ugly and looked like some parts were falling off.

"What a dump," my second son Mike said, making his brothers laugh a little. Shaking my head at them, I pointed towards the entrance of the building and gave my men my hand move, making all of them move into position.

We walked into the building, and the smells of rats and weed went everywhere. Some of my men and boys covered their noses because of how horrible it smelled there. We wore our masks and moved.

Then we saw some men dressed in black.

Rolling my eyes, I said, "Can someone tell me where my son is?" All the men stopped talking and looked at us, their eyes wide out of fear. They pulled their guns out, and that's when bullets went everywhere.

"Well, this is what I was not expecting," I mumble to myself before raising my gun at one of the men.

……

Elizabeth's POV:

When Zack and I went outside, my hands went to my nose from the smells.

"Jesus, how could this person stay here," my mind said to me.

Zack moved quietly so as not to bring attention to us. I could see some dead bodies on the ground, my eyes wide when I saw a lot of the monsters on the floor with blood all over their bodies.

"DAD!" Zack yelled.

"Did he just say dad?" my mind said again.

I wanted to raise my head, but I remembered the words Zack said. Then I placed my head again on his neck.

"Zack, omg, my boy, what in the world are you doing here, and who is that?" I heard someone say.

"I will explain later, but everyone, this is our little sister Elizabeth," Zack said, trying to pull me down, but I stayed glued to his body.

"Hahahahahaha, stop playing, Zack. That thing can't be our sister; she died years ago," someone groans at Zack.

"Shut up, Levi," Zack said back.

"Elizabeth, come on, don't worry; they won't hurt you, okay?" he said softly while rocking me like a baby. I shook my head again and held him tight, hoping he wouldn't let me go.

"Come on, stop with this game, drop the kid and let's go," another person said but angrily this time.

"Zack, kiddo, let's go, Elizabeth is dead, remember?" Another voice said again.

But this time, I raised my head a little, and then my eyes met his. He froze for a second before stepping back.

"No," he whispers while Zack nods his head, trying to tell him that I am the girl he was talking about.

"Eli," the man says softly, coming close to my small body.

"Is this you?" he asked.

I looked at him and then at Zack before nodding my head softly.

It took a while, but I found myself in a black car with all my brothers trying to see my face. Dad kept on crying and crying, making me feel bad. I hadn't seen a grown man cry before; it looked kinda sad, to be honest, and a little funny.

Zack, on the other hand, didn't let me sit down. I was on his lap while he played with my hair. Someone poked my tummy, making me raise my head and was met with light blue eyes.

"Hey, I'm Ryan," the boy whispered slowly like he was talking to a baby. I looked at him before smiling a little, which made him giggle and shake his head.

"Wanna be my friend?" he asked. My ears picked up; I had never had friends before and didn't even know what it meant. I looked around before pointing at me and then at him. He laughed again and said, "Yes, yes, me and your friends."

Nodding my head fast, I was happy that I finally had a friend. Zack looked at me and smiled softly while Ryan raised his hands. I looked at them timely before looking at him.

"I want a hug," he said. I looked down at my clothes, then at him and Zack. "When we get home, you can give me all the hugs, okay?" he says again, smiling. I gave him a thumbs-up and then looked around the car.

I noticed everyone was looking at us. Even Dad, who was crying, had a smile on his face. I yawned softly before resting my head on Zack's arms. Then I was out like a light.

Zack's POV:

When she fell asleep, I was bombarded with questions. "How did you find her?" "Has she said any words to you?" "Why does she look so tiny?" My brothers kept asking me questions, but I didn't reply. Deep down, I didn't have an answer to them, so I said nothing.

I noticed we were finally at the mansion. Ryan came to my side and opened the door for me, saying a quick "thank you." I walked out with a sleeping Eli in my arms.

I walked to her old room, which no one had touched for ages. Opening the door, I looked closer at it, noticing the dirt around the room.

I walked to mine and then laid her down on my bed before walking to my closet to get her some shorts and a shirt. I walked back to her and woke her up softly.

"Eli, Eli, wake up, time for a shower," I said, trying not to make her scared. She woke up with a worried expression before her eyes met mine, and then she smiled softly.

I showed her the outfit, then took her hands leading her to the bathroom, showing her how to use it. I walked out, not before saying, "Take your time, okay," I said to her with a smile. She gave me a thumb again and started removing her old clothes.

With that, I closed the door and walked outside, only to find Dad and the boys cleaning up our little sister's room.
