Sighting her son, Kasla jerked up from her seat and ran to Lucian who picked her up with much ado "Mother" he cried with great pleasure, smiling from ear to ear and planting plenty kisses on her face which made most of the people in the hall smile except his father who looked on without much emotion.

"oh Lucian, how I have missed you, my son" Kasla said, weeping into Lucian's shirt while he consoled her with much affection.

Amarog cleared his throat loudly, stopping the display of affection between mother and son. Kasla slowly went back to her seat, still mopping her wet eyes with a small kerchief while Lucian turned to his father.

flashback to twenty one years agoNymeria came back home, very tired from the visit to the house of one of the women in the pack whose child had been sick. This morning at dawn, she had woken up to the frantic knocks on the door of her house by Trinity, the woman. She had reluctantly left her bed and the warmth of her husband, Beowulf who was still sleeping peacefully on their bed and fled outside to see what the disturbance was about. As the Luna of the pack, one of her jobs was to take care of every member of the pack aside from helping her husband run the pack efficiently of course. She had met Trinity crying profusely at the door, lamenting about the poor sick child, so she had gone back inside to tell Beowulf where she was going to and then she looked in on her three eldest children who were all sleeping peacefully in their respective rooms and then woke the nursemaid up to look after the baby, Akela. She had then followed Trinity to her home. She had found out that the child,

Nymeria and AmarogNymeria left Texas to Pittsburgh, and lodged in a very luxurious hotel there. She had made sure she was very far away from Beowulf because she was pretty sure that he would already be searching all over the country for her with the help of his minions. She knew that the decision to leave her family especially her husband was a good idea.Since she married Beowulf, she had barely had time for herself. She had married him nine years ago, when she was just twenty two and he was thirty two.Her father had been the alpha of the tricities pack and Beowulf had been his beta. Her father had had no sons to take over from him as alpha, so he had betrothed her to his beta. When her father had died, she had been studying medicine at Texas state University and was in her third year. She had quickly rushed back home to his death bed and his funeral. Two weeks later without being allowed to complete her studies, she was married to Beowulf, grief stricken and yearning to go back to

The birth of a lifelong rivalryAmarog's business partner was actually a fellow vampire lord who shared land boundaries with him.In the past two months, the two vampire lords have been disturbed by a mutual problem which is in the person of a lower rank vampire, Tristan, Amarog's nephew, who had suddenly gone mad.Tristan has been committing all sorts of crimes not limited to killing humans which has raised a lot of eyebrows from the human authorities. In just two months, Tristan has killed up to two hundred humans, including women and children. The media had then started asking questions and , some were already pointing fingers at the supernatural beings, but we're thankfully not believed by anybody. This was bad business for every vampire, as they might be forced to come out of their hidings and face a world where they would never be accepted. So Amarog and Maugrim, being the most powerful vampires in the vampire council decided to have a meeting and discuss how they would solve th

The presentThe hall grew quiet when Amarog finished his story.Tys was shocked to learn that his mother was so beautiful that she could make two powerful men hold bitterness and malice against each other just because of their love for her.But he was angry that the man he had always thought was his father was nothing but an infidel. How dare he break his mother's heart repeatedly the way he had? Did he know that he was not his father? Was that why he was so callous to him, surely if he had been his real father,he wouldn't have treated him the way he had? Tys asked himself so many questions in his heart, questions he didn't have answers to.He ached to see his mother and ask her these questions that were eating him up from the insides.Hera squeezed his sweaty hand in support and he squeezed hers back too, feeling so grateful to her. If it hadn't been his love for her, he probably would be on his way to his pack to confront Beowulf and his mother. He looked at Kimi who was sitting so

Sparks fly.... again"so what you are trying to say is...you made my mother condemn her bastard son to a life of condemnation for his inadequacies just because you want to come out winning against your rival?Do you know what I fucking went through because of that selfish decision you made? Do you know that because of that decision, you condemned a man, my real father to a life devoid of love and a son. And what about Kimi? You made her lonely, an only child of a living but absent father and no siblings?" Tys fumed "Not only that, then when your rival's daughter and your son fell in love, you condemned him and banished him for daring to love -more honourably- mind you, than you loved my mother. You couldn't even tolerate him, despite having experienced love too. And then after everything, you still had the guts to think you are the one being wronged here.I take it to you that you are the actual villain of this story. You caused this war, not Lucian because all he ever did was love hon

Satiated desiresWe left Lucian and Kimi and Hera led me to her room.It was one of the rooms in a long passage. We entered the room and Hera locked the door behind her.I looked curiously around the room.It was surprisingly very feminine, It didn't go with the Hera I know. The strong willed woman I fell in love with. But this was a side of hers I was very much interested in.The room was painted in a dusty pink. The bed was covered with a soft white duvet and pink throw pillows. A lamp stood just next to the bed throwing soft light around the room, giving it a look of elegance. There was a shelf decorated with awards of different sizes and shapes.I went to them and caressed them gently, they were obviously very expensive."Those are the silly awards my father bought me when I told him that if I was going to school and not being homeschooled, I would have collected so many awards...so to make me happy, he started giving me each awards every end of a term" Hera said and I began to fee

Hall conversations"who was that love?" Hera asked, coming out of the bathroom, all wet and sexy and toweling her golden hair dry.I looked at her and became hard again, I wondered if we will be wasting time if I made love to her again."what is it babe?" she asked again worriedly, after being confronted with my silence."Nothing babe, Your father says we should come quickly, apparently there has been a new development" I said."did he tell you what?" she asked."He sent Theo and he felt really worried to me, whatever it is, it must be serious" I said"Okay, then we need to go...you should go shower first though" she suggested.I nodded and went into the bathroom, it still smelled of her Jasmine scent and the thought of her in this bathroom just some few minutes ago did not do anything to reduce the hardness of my penis.I quickly took a shower and rushed out of the bathroom before imagination takes control of me.In few minutes, we were done, then we walked to the hall.On our way, so

Hera asked, searching around the wide space of icy ground.I shrugged "I'm not sure, but I will bet that he is camped at the east side of this wood, that will provide him the best sight of the castle, he would be able to see everything going on from there" I said, observing that the castle is very open to scrutiny of the supernatural eyes from the east side of the wood. "Oh my god" Mother exclaimed and she and Maugrim locked eyes for a long while, it was very obvious that they were still in love.Thane and my other siblings looked on at the spectacle with fascination mixed with horror. Shocking meetingsTy's and I stayed indoors two days after the party, exploring our bodies and just stopping for rest and to eat.The others left us alone to ourselves. Lucian and Kimi didn't even notice us as they were too busy with each other too.Maugrim had gone back to his tent and was preparing to follow us to Texas. We are all following Ty's to his home today, all including Maugrim, Lucian, Kimi, and me.Theo and Fyr wanted to come along but father forbade them to leave their duties to follow us on 'an adventure' . That is what they both called it.As we finished packing, Lucian and Kimi knocked on our door."Ty's, Hera? we are ready" Kimi called."We are coming" I called back and hurried Ty's who was still busy tying his shoelace. We set out, ten minutes later.Father and mother were waiting at the castle gate for us. Mother was weeping, while father was caressing her hair, trying to console her."Oh my babies" mother said, as she saw us, opening her arms wide for us to go into

Lucian has been finding it difficult to bat him away and we have been laughing at him. Kimi had joined in the fun by flirting with Theo, further pushing Lucian to the brink of violence against his brother.Kimi had then taken pity on her bel

Tears and joyWhen Hera left with the letters, Maugrim and I had a swell time together. We spent the time catching up with each other. He told me exactly how he had met my mum and how he felt then and feel now about her.He asked me if he could meet her, despite the fact that she was still married."I will be going back home soon, father, I will know then if you could meet her" I told him and he nodded."Does she love your....her husband?" he asked"No, I don't think so...they have always had problems" I told him, and I saw hope spark anew in his eyes. After wards, he asked about my childhood and I found myself unburdening my heart to him.He listened attentively, and looked wistful as I told him about my siblings and the kind of life I had had while growing up.He also told me how he had endured without his first wife and his son and endured the loss of my mother's love. Some hours later, Hera came back and narrated everything that happened at the castle with joy shinning in her face

He had not bothered me with questions that I was sure he was itching to ask. When we got to the place where soldiers had attacked us with shooting arrows, I pointed it out to Nate and he nodded and looked around the place speculatively."We are sorry about that" he said gruffly and I nodded."You don't need to apologise, Nate...we expected that" I said and he nodded. When we got to the castle gate, Nate said "go in, I will watch your back""All right, Nate, thank you" I told him and smiled at him, he blushed and averted his gaze shyly.I giggled and disappeared through the magic portal. That must have left him even more speechless than before, I thought giggling. When I entered into the castle, the guards became alert and rushed to my side "My lady, is everything all right?" one of them asked"I'm fine....where is my father?
