After washing the dirty plate, cup and spoon i decided something, “Guys, I'm going to Jarrod's place to sign the divorce papers”

Kelly and Alexa who were currently stared eating stared wide at me. Only Kelly cheered. “Let me go with you then” The both of them offered but i shook my head. I didn't want to disturb them, they were eating after all, and besides this was my problem to deal with.

“This is on me to handle, don't worry” I said but Kelly stopped me. “You're really weak now, you even fainted earlier. What you need right now is a good rest, don't worry about the papers, and about your luggages you'll have to bring them back here. Won't you? It won't be convienient if you go alone”

“Yeah” Alexa said nearly choking on the salad in her mouth.

“I'm fine now. If you guys go with me, drama will definitely ensue. It's best if i go

I turned around to leave but then i felt a kick in my legs throwing me onto the floor. Normally, i wouldn't fall but i just got out from the hospital and i was still really weak.“You bitch,” I heard Jarrod cussed behind me. I started to panic when i realized it was Jarrod who kicked me, i originally thought i lost balance for a while..Before i could attempt to get up, Jarrod grabbed me from the back of my hair and lifted me off the ground. Then he banged my head on the wall before turning my head so i was facing him.I didn't mutter a word throughout this action. I could only stare at his hateful face and hope he would drop dead.“You- i should've known you were a bitch, even though you were a virgin when i married you.. Something was definitely different, you became like a wild horse that couldn't be tamed..” I laughed at the anxious look on his face as he spoke. He was indeed my foolish ex-husband. Lo

I woke up as early as 5am to do some yoga exercises, shower, login to my gmail using Kelly's laptop. Then I sent out my cv to as many organisations that were hiring. I even kept my thoughts positive as I cooked noodles for breakfast. It seemed noddles was the only meal I could cook really well. While serving the food I prayed to get a job offer. Didn't matter where as long as the pay was enough to buy baby things. I could get Draco something he'd like not a stolen item like the doll I took a week ago.. That was really horrible thing I did. No wonder Cameron was really disappointed when I said I was giving up Draco, I didn't lay a good example for my son. Stealing was a horrible thing to do, I knew that long ago but I still stole a doll.. I guess bad habits could be difficult to curb.I heard footsteps cascading down the stairs as I arranged our meals on the dinning ta

“Omg Bella what happened to you?” Alexa said as soon as I arrived back at Kelly's. It was a few minutes past eleven that I got home along with a twenty dollar bill. But in return for my hard work, I was a mess.“I got a job,” I said breathing in and out. “I can see that” said Alexa sacarstically.“A bar job as a server, isn't it?” Alexa said and I nodded confirming her suspicions, “No wonder you reek of alcohol.” I moved away from Alexa and collapsed on the living room couch.“There's marcaroni left from dinner- You probably didn't eat anything asides from breakfast, you look so lean already. What will happen if you go to work everyday then? You'll die!”Feeling incapable of arguing with Alexa, I said quickly, “I'm only on the night shift, 5pm-11pm. I still gotta find a day job though. If I get some job that pays twenty dollars or more then I'l

When I opened my eyes, a familiar pair of reddish-orange eyes were staring down at me sadly. Ziyah? Was I dreaming? Why the fuck was she here? And why was she trying to trick me by pretending to turn into a green snake! I already told her to leave me alone!“You!” I yelled jumping up from the ground. I was still in the kitchen it seems. Ziyah backed away from me after seeing the angry look on my face.“Master-”“-I am not your master! And stop following me and tricking me with your bullshit!” I raged on. How she got here wasn't surprising, with her small figure she could easily enter the kitchen through the windows. “Look, I already told you-”“-Without you, I won't be able to survive! There are powerful people from Crescent moon here in the human world these days. I'm literally a bag of small power they can easily devour if they find out I'm without a master”I froze. He

I sighed after I got kicked out of the last restaurant along the street. They didn't want a part timer.“Master- why do you bother yourself trying to work for these mortals if they won't accept you without any attachments involved”I nearly jumped on hearing Ziyah's voice, I looked around to ensure no one was watching me before putting my arms around myself due to the cold weather and also to feel Ziyah who was inside my clothes but I didn't even feel her.“Shh.. Stop talking in public, someone might hear you” I cautiously said while staring straight ahead at my work place. ‘SID'S’ bar. Looking at it from afar I felt a great sense of pride that I didn't understand quite well. When I entered the bar, I was pretty impressed. 6pm and there were already a fairly amount of customers.“Hey boss” I said kindly upon meeting a familiar pair of cold eyes staring at me. I didn't understand why he decided

It's past one thirty! Where-”“-Where the fuck did you go?” Kelly interupted Alexa.I glanced at the clock in the living room, it was indeed one thirty. I didn't even notice. After that strange man dissappeared, Ziyah turned into a snake and hid in my clothes. I really didn't roam around unnecessarily afterwards but I could use Ziyah as an excuse.I smiled nervously and brought Ziyah out from inside my clothes, Kelly was the first to scream and run off to the side of the stairs to seek protection, Alexa went back a little bit but calmed down briefly after looking car

I felt really bad for her.“Should i take you to the hospital?” I asked and Kelly moaned painfully, “What for? So they can tell me I'm running out of time and prescribed some horrible drugs destined to make me choke and kill me?”“Fine. I thought Cameron would forget me when he finds a prettier lady.. oh how petty was i!”Kelly sniffed, “To be honest, I was a little jealous of your luck. You always had the good guys after you.. I can barely believe you would be jealous of me.”I shook my head, “I was human after all, it is not surprising I was petty minded.”Kelly sighed in relief, “If only I had the opportunity to live again, I would live very well.”I helped Kelly sit on the couch and she sighed again, “The only thing I don't regret in my life is meeting you and Alexa. After so many years, she still remembered me.Tears rolled down my cheeks as i remembered everything we did together before we separated.“Bella,” said Kelly as she pulled away from the hug and drag me into her house. Nothing much had changed except the furnitures and curtains. I smiled.“Sit down, I'll get you some tea. You must have a lot of tell me!”I smiled and watched as Kelly disappeared into the kitchen. I started at the ring in my index finger embarrassedly. I couldn't believe I almost forgot about it. A subtle smile appeared on my lips on realizing how simple but beautiful the ring looked.
