"But how did you find out?" Avery asked in confusion.

Alvin remembered what he did a couple of days ago. 

The book on fairy fire told him, only Nyra's true mate can balance the fairy fire that was gifted to her, with his own power. But he was blindsided by his love for his daughter and misconceptions on the dragons, that he started to believe, all the dragons are bad.

Hence he took Nyra away from the human world, with out protecting her memories. He wanted to wipe all the memories of her mate from her mind and give her a new life with some one else of his choosing.

But then, the fairy fire showed itself and he began to panic. It's not possible to balance the fairy fire by anyone. It needs a special person born to do that.

That special person for Nyra is Drake.
