Drake cannot lead Nyra through the front door. So he used the back door, which is rarely used by servants as well. The back staircase is dark but clean.

Drake can see clearly, even in darkness. He easily led Nyra through the dark staircase. 

Nyra stumbled over her ruined dress.

Drake bent down and lifted her in his arms bridal style.

Nyra didn't protest at all. Instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck and held tight.

She accepted their situation. She likes him and he proved time and again that he likes her too.

He would do anything for her. She understood that. 

Drake made sure no one is around when he carried Nyra to her room.

He put her down when they reached her room and locked the door behind her.
