HADEON'S POV:

I stare into the night sky. The twinkling stars are void of all beauty to me. Everything is plain and bare. Beauty and goodness will always be tainted by something evil. Beauty is stripped by sickness. Life is no more by death. All good things must come to an end, then evil shall triumph and I shall be the cause. I shall rule and all will bow before me. I must be patient however, my plan will succeed. For no one can defeat me.

I stand here, staring into the sky. Hours pass by, yet I do not notice. The sun is rising and the creatures awaken. 'Ahh today shall be a good day'. I have been this way for many a year. Unfeeling. Cold. Numb. I cannot even remember the last time I was truly happy. The last time I felt a real emotion. I don't miss it though. What is there to miss? Emotions only make you weak and cloud your judgement, preventing you from doing what should be done. I am unlike everyone else. I have no feelings, I calculate everything based on it's usefulness. Once it has outlived that period however, I dispose of it. I do not become attached. I do not love. But I do enjoy using these feelings others have to torment them, it makes me laugh. So weak and pathetic. They disgust me.

A small bird lands before me, staring at me with curiosity. But you know what they say? Curiosity killed the cat, in this case however, a bird. I clutch it suddenly in my hand, squeezing it slowly until it's eyes begin to bulge and it's chest is pushed above my knuckles. I hear the 'crunch' of it's bones cracking, blood drips from it's beak. I cast it aside in disgust. Pathetic creature.

The sun is now risen. I feel it's warmth on my cold skin. I turn suddenly and begin to walk back the way I came. I need to return to my castle and make sure that idiot Barrett has everything prepared for tonight. I'll be giving our wonderful Monarch's a surprise they will never forget.

As I walk through the forest I hear a loud growl followed by pathetic whimpering. Amused I follow the source of the noise, intent on watching the show. I stand behind a large bush witnessing a great black bear cornering a surprisingly beautiful creature. It's white fur is stained with blood, a large gash is torn into its side oozing a ruby red. I smirk, this should be interesting.

I watch the white catlike creature stare at the bear, trembling with fear. It tries to snarl and hiss in a silly attempt at scaring the beast off, only to anger it further. I take a long look at the pale animal, it's ears are long and pointed, it's eyes a shocking azure blue. It's tail is long and fluffy. It's body resembles that of a Cheetah. It's face has angular features. It's not very large especially in comparison to the giant it is facing but without a doubt it is of royal descent.

Curiosity gets the better of me and I step out of the shadows just as the bear is about to tear into the little thing. With a wave of my hand the bear is thrown back against a tree and with a simple twist of my wrist, a loud 'snap' is heard as it's neck breaks. I turn to the large cat who is now staring at me in shock and wonder. I snap my fingers and it begins to shift against it's will. Poor thing must be in so much pain, how sad.

As it shifts, I see long black hair beginning to grow, it's ears shrink but stay slightly pointed at the tip. The tail disappears and all that remains is a beautiful young maiden with raven hair trembling in shock and pain. She's stark naked and as I look her over with curiosity at her soft, pale body she quickly tries to cover herself with her arms crossing her chest. Her hair acts as a natural barrier for my prying eyes as it reaches her toes in soft waves. She looks at me pleadingly, I smirk. With another wave of my hand a cloak appears beside her, she hurriedly puts it on.wincing at the pain from the wound on her thigh.

I begin to approach her, crouching down once I'm within arms reach. She stares at me with fear. As she should. No one else can hold such power as I do. I lift the cloak slightly, as she winces again. I place my hand upon her wounded leg and whisper soft chants, until her leg begins to heal and the torn skin reconnects. Leaving no trace of there even having been a wound. I remove my hand and look at her face, examing her features. She has a soft button nose, plump lips, a round face, high cheekbones and big doe eyes. Her eyelashes and are long and black, like her hair. Thick like fans fluttering against her cheeks. The very meaning of beauty. But it does nothing for me as it would any other man. I am simply intrigued by her innocent look. Though I'm more than certain that mind of hers is just as manipulative and deceitful as the rest of those wicked females.

Her eyes that were once filled with fear now look upon me with curiosity. "Are you a prince sir?"

I laugh at her question and she blushes slightly, her eyes look to the ground in embarrassment.

"And what makes you think that little kitten?" I ask, amusement lingering in my voice.

"Well only a royal can posses such power, so I assumed that is what you must be? Am I mistaken?"

"That is true but I am no prince my dear."

"A King then?"

"Something like that."

"What do you mean sir?"

"Now that would be telling, wouldn't it?" I say with a slight smirk.

She blushes again and looks at her toes, curling them up slightly as she does so. "Thankyou" she whispers slightly.

"What for little one?"

"Saving me."

"I did not save you. I simply delayed the inevitable."

She looks at me again, confusion evident on her face but then she seems to shake such thoughts away. "Will you be coming to the ball tonight sir?"

"I am"

"So you are indeed royalty? My father has only invited the royals from neighboring lands to attend. Which kingdom do you reside in?"

I raise my eyebrow at her slightly. So this is the spoilt little princess. "Somewhere much closer than you think princess" i smile at her slightly. She goes quiet for a moment looking back at her toes.

"What is your name sir?" She asks suddenly.

"Be patient kitten, you will know in good time."

She looks at me questioningly but does not speak further. I stand up quickly.

"you should get back home little one before your family start to worry, we wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you now, will we?" I say in a deliberately menacing tone. She looks a little startled at my voice but gets herself up all the same.

"I hope to see you tonight sir" she says with a sweet smile. It doesn't fool me though, women like her put on a facade of innocence and purity but deep down they're all the same hungry, deceitful whores.

I smile back " as I do you." I give her a charming smile before pecking her gently on the cheek. Her eyes widen slightly in surprise before her cheeks glow a tinge of baby pink. Bowing respectfully towards her, I turn and make my way back from where I came.

I smiled wickedly to myself 'Oh my sweet kitten, if only you knew what fate awaits you tonight, you would wish you were never born' I chuckle darkly to myself as I walk gracefully through the forest returning to my castle. I wonder if that fool, Barrett has been able to keep things in check for a night. Somehow I very much doubt it.

I had a deep scar running across my face which caused the blindness and left a permanent sneer formed on my lips. I looked hideous. Not due to the scar, it was just how I was born. My cousin however had all the beauty and the women and if that was not enough he caused an additional deformaty for good measure. It wasn't quite like that, if he hadn't slashed my face I would've cut his heart out and forced his wife to be mine and made her produce an abundance of heirs, at least her beauty would've given them a chance. I was jealous and he loved to rub it in my face, him being the sole heir and everything else he was gifted with since birth and me only ever getting second best if anything at all.So I joined Hadeon. The ballroom was alight with candles, the small flames flickered and danced to the cheerful music. People dressed in all the pomp and glamour fit for royalty. The ladie's gowns were shimmering in an array of colour, they were alike to swans in their movements and peacocks in their attitude. The men all stood proudly, conversing with said females or fellow male companions.Suddenly silence enveloped the room as all eyes turned towards me, I heard gasps followed by murmuring and silent whispers, too quiet for me to catch on to anything they may have been saying about me. My nerves that initially relaxed upon entering the ballroom suddenly skyrocketed to the point where I felt sick and dizzy. I tryed to remain calm and poised however and followed my mother obediently, ignoring the jealous and awe-stricken glances given my way.Mother

I had been so enraged that she tried to trick me into thinking she is unlike the rest of them when I know better that she is. But those lips, her tears. I ran my hand through my hair, frustration gnawing at me. She tastes so sweet, I was surprised how she responded to my kiss, I thought she would fight me after what I had said to her yet she seemed to have forgotten it with the kiss, as I had forgotten her facade when we were so engrossed in our intimate moment. Her skin felt so soft and smooth, like silk. I felt angry at myself for not fighting the urge to taste her. I felt angry that she has an effect on me, I do not know why I even came to see her, I couldn't stop thinking about her

'how did I heal so fast?' that awful memory of that man, Barrett fills my head. Tears fill my eyes and sting my cheeks as I sob uncontrollably, my body trembles as I rock back and forth, pulling my knees to my chest. A numbing feeling overcomes my entirety. I feel empty. Hollow. Disgusting. He has tainted me. He took what was most precious to me, something I'd been longing to give to the man I would hopefully love and would call my husband. I cried for what seemed like hours. I cried until there were no tears left to shed and I was emotionally drained. I had put her to sleep when she starting getting hysterical and screaming at me, though muffled due to the cloth acting as a gag. Her dark hair sprawled onto the white pillow creating a beautiful contrast that makes my little angel stand out all the more. Her tear stained cheeks, her plump, dry lips, her slightly knotted hair, despite that, she still took my breath away. What is it about her that has formed such a strong desire to take root within my soul? I continue to stare at her, unable to comprehend what makes her so different? Why? Of all the Women out there, why her? I can hear my little sister singing softly from our bedroom, she sounds like an angel. Everything seems calm and tranquil.A shout echoes through the air as I see my father running quickly from the forest, he looks terrified."HADEON GET INSIDE NOW!!"He shouts, I scramble quickly to my feet just as he approaches and grabs my arm, dragging me into the cottage. He could've killed my family as well as myself but he didn't, maybe it's all some sick game to him or maybe he does have a conscience, he just doesn't like to show it....maybe.Barrett was truly evil though, disgusting pig.
