– Leigh’s POV

I walked down the hallway with my heart pounding hard. My hands felt sweaty, and my stomach twisted with nerves. Logan was the last person I wanted to see, especially now. But I didn’t have a choice. I had to talk to him one last time about the interview. He’d already said no, and not just once—more like a dozen times. Still, maybe if I tried again, he’d finally change his mind. When I reached his office door, I stopped and took a deep breath. "You can do this, Leigh," I whispered to myself, trying to calm down. I straightened my back, fixed my shirt, and knocked on the door with my fist. I waited, my heart thumping.
