I never thought I would feel this happy or this possible. I never thought that happiness like this could exist.

. And damn, did I fall hard for Emma? I thought it was a fleeting feeling, and all I felt for her was annoyance. I thought all my anger toward her was valid. but it was jealousy.

I was jealous that she might find a better partner in the man who texted her that day. I just wanted to rip the band-aid off and be let off easy before I fell deeper for Emma. I couldn’t help but feel anxious every time I looked at her.

The biggest part of me hoped that child was mine. Yes, a selfish part of me had given her an ultimatum to help her mom and that she was going to do a paternity test for the child. I avoided her so often because I knew I'd feel different any time I was near her. There was this invisible force that pulled me closer to her, always wanting more. I knew she had grown on me the moment I had come back from my trip in Singapore, and I didn’t think twice about it before
