After the attack, the Alpha of the Central Pack sent me a letter.

I don't know what you intend by trying to attack me like that in my own territory, but as of this moment you are formally my enemy and any deal our packs had before is over. My people and pack will no longer provide technology, energy, medicine, or food agreed upon in the treaties made with the previous Alpha of the Southern Pack.

You ended centuries of peace and harmony between packs, so everything that happens from now on is merely a product of your actions.

I took the paper, crumpled it up, and threw it in the trash.

It was obvious that the asshole was going to take sides quickly, so my plan had failed. I wanted to subdue him, but things hadn't worked out in my favor, so it was up to me to be much more aggressive and send him a direct message that would sink in enough for him to understand what my damn problem was.
