33: A jealous king

Everyone's eyes immediately scanned me as we walked in. I wondered if I looked terrible and my anxiety immediately skyrocketed feeling like I shouldn't be here.

Beta seemed to notice because he held my hand tighter leading me into the ballroom.

The walls were decorated with shimmering gold from floors to ceiling. The chandeliers hanging were engraved in all sorts of diamonds and golden rims.

"I really don't think I fit in here." I whispered to beta as he led us to the dance floor.

Everyone looked like a high rank wolf, and their clothes were made out of the finest silk I'd ever seen.

"You look better than everyone here combined trust me," he chuckled.

"Then why are they all staring like I'm some disease?" I whispered back.

"It's because you look so beautiful, they possibly can't comprehend, you always hide your potential in the clothes you wear."

Our observation was cut off by the band suddenly playing their strings instruments.

Beta held his hand out to me, "May I?"

"Certainly," I bow
