I chuckled "okay so um.. does this mean we are together now?" I asked with all the good in my heart. I was excited to hear those words come out of her mouth and also afraid that she would say no.
"No" she said shaking her head. My heart dropped so heavily. All my hopes were dashed in that second.
"Wow" I sighed and held my chest absentmindedly.
All of a sudden Ama burst out with laughter and nudged me a little "what?" I asked still feeling the pain from her rejection and she was laughing?
"It was a joke you big baby" she said and continued laughing lightly.
I felt so relieved that I closed my eyes and breathed a sigh of relief. "Ama you're not funny." I said.
"God you should see your face" she said and laughed again. I shook my head and couldn't help but join her in the laughter.
