Chapter One Hundred and Seventeen; Telling the Truth

“Very very weak” she said quietly. I successfully pulled her up and gave her some food. The food I had bought for her. It was cold now but she ate it. She didn’t like hot food anyways.

“So what’s happened?” Ama asked as she was eating,

“Sis, a lot. They found you collapsed just as Didi and I were coming in to see you.” Matthew narrated.

“It was horrible, I was panicking. I’m really glad you’re okay babes” Radike added.

I smiled at Ama but my smile slowly diminished when I saw exactly how she looked now. She looked very pale. Like she was losing blood. Her lips were chapped and her once luminous skin was still very flawless but dry. It hurt my heart to see her that way.

“Femi, what’s the matter. You’re silent.” Ama said.

I looked at her and smile “Nothing’s wrong babe. I’m just happy you’re awake.” I said. She smiled and continued eating her food.

We stayed in the room for a while. Radike and Matthew kept chatting to Ama while I sat there very silent and thinking.
