Millie's P. O. V.
Hayden stared at me, wide-eyed after my confession, as if he couldn't understand what I was saying.
"You what?" he asked.
"I love you," I repeated.
"Whoa...that...that's so gross!" Hayden made a face.
Ugh! This guy is going to drive me crazy.
"Ugh, you suck!" I cried and tried to get up, but he pulled me back down and held me tightly.
"I love you too, baby girl," he whispered into my hair. "Thank you for being here with me."
I closed my eyes and felt his heartbeat.
He felt so warm. It was starting to make me sleepy. I wanted to stay like this forever. How will I leave him to go to college now? I felt so confused. I knew I had to tell him about me getting accepted to Columbia. I couldn't tell him now as he was still weak from the coma. I have to wait because he would be upset. I knew that much.
His mom made a big feast to celebrate his return. We all ate and had a great time. Of course,
Hayden's P. O. V. I poured my heart out to Millie once I found out she would be leaving for college. It is not because I wanted her to change her mind but to let her know that I am hers whether she stays or leaves. I couldn't let her go without her knowing how I felt about her for all these years. This doesn't mean I am okay with her leaving. I wish she would stay here with me, but I couldn't be the one to hold her back. I knew she had dreams and aspirations. I couldn't get in the way of her dreams. She meant too much to me. Her eyes were full of tears as I told her, and I immediately regretted it. Maybe I shouldn't have told her. Now she will feel guilty and that was the last thing I wanted. I wanted her to be excited about her future, but shit, I made her cry instead. "Millie, what's wrong?" I asked and stroked her hair gently. "You should've told me how you felt sooner. You are so dumb," her voice shook. "Why did you let me talk about how much I li
Millie's P. O. V. It was graduation day. My school decided to hold it outside since it was nice sunny weather. So I put my gown over my dress and got ready for the moment. I was really excited, and judging from Alison's behavior, she was too. She was bouncing up and down. "I can't believe this is it!" Alison chirped. "We are finally going to graduate!" "I know. This feels like a dream. We are finally out of high school. I already feel like an adult," I said. I wonder where Hayden was. We've been inseparable since he woke up from the coma. He insisted that we spend every waking moment together since I would leave for New York soon after graduating. It was fine with me. I didn't want to leave in the first place, but Hayden said he would shave my head in my sleep if I didn't go and pursue my dreams. Idiot. He probably did it, so I didn't want to risk it by not listening to him. I walked on the field to receive my diploma as my family cheered me o
Hayden P. O. V. I laughed when I saw the look on her face when I told her I would do something to her. Of course, I was only messing with her, but I guess she took it seriously. She is so freaking adorable. She will be leaving soon, so I decided to knock on her window for the last time, I knew how much she hated it, but she never said no. Maybe she secretly loved it. "You'll never stop coming in this way, are you?" she said, then opened the window. "The front door is just sitting there, being unused," she added. I stepped inside and smirked. "Nope," I said. I gently pressed my lips on hers and kissed her lips. I pulled apart to take a breath, but something in her eyes drew me back to her again. Every time I kissed her, my brain lit on fire, and warmth spread through my entire body. When we broke apart again, she rested her head on my chest to gather some air. I could smell her floral shampoo. I blame her sweet scent for making me hormonal and crazy.
Millie's P.O.V. I've always been shy around boys. I never thought I'd be so open about having an intimate relationship with one. But with Hayden, it was different. Every time he touched me, my body screamed with pleasure. His warm hands caressing my body woke something inside me, and I forgot my reservation. The words slipped right out of my mouth when I asked him to touch me. I could tell he was shocked to hear me say something like that, but I knew he couldn't deny me. His eyes were full of longing. He placed gentle kisses all over my body like he didn't want to miss an inch. His mouth moved farther down, igniting my desires stronger than before. I put my hand on his soft hair and gently stroked them. He put his head between my legs and struck fire. I put a pillow on top of my face to muffle my scream. "Are you okay?" he asked without a hint of concern. Instead, he was smirking like the devil he was. I blushed. "I am not sure," I quivered. "
Millie's P.O.V. "Where did you find this!" Alison claimed as she held up the sparkly lamp in front of my face. "At the thrift store near my house?" I said. "This is ugly!" she laughed. I giggled. "It is not!" It has been three weeks since I moved into my university dorm. Alison and I decided to become roommates because...why wouldn't we? Hello! We are best friends! It took us a few days to get settled in and sign up for the classes. We had different majors, so most of our classes were not the same, but it was better than nothing. As far as Hayden and I were concerned, we are still together. He texts and calls me every day, but I still miss him so much. It was especially hard for me to leave after the night I lost my virginity to him. But I had no regrets. It made me feel like I was truly his. I touched my necklace, which made me feel a sense of comfort. "Come on. We are going to be late," Alison said. "Where are we goin
Hayden's P.O.V. I have missed my Millie Mouse so much ever since she moved to another state. After our amazing night, I wanted to kidnap her and take her away because I didn't want her to leave. But of course, that was not possible. I loved her too much to mess up her future. So I had to be strong and a supportive boyfriend. I wanted to become a better man for her. So I enrolled myself in some online courses so I could finish my degree in computer science. If I was good at anything, it was computers and motorcycles, so why not use that skill toward my future career? I had to do something other than work as a cashier my whole life. I tried to keep in touch with her as much as possible. We had been texting and video chatting every day. At least when she was not busy with her homework. I tried not to bother her when she had to do something for school. I called her earlier, but she didn't pick up the phone. So she must've been busy. "Stop obsessin
Millie's P.O.V. Alison and I went to meet Kevin and Ellie at the park. Four of us had been hanging out a lot since the party. It had been a month since I moved in here. I hadn't had much free time since I was too busy with my classes. Ellie brought her dog with her. She started to run around with him. Alison joined in. I was no way to do any type of physical activity, so I decided to hang out on the swing. "Need some company?" Kevin asked and sat on the swing next to me. "Hey, Kevin," I smiled. "I like hanging out with you. I think you are really cool," Kevin said. "Thanks," I said shyly. "I also think you are gorgeous and...I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometimes?" he asked. I was caught off guard. Does Kevin like me? "Um...I'm sorry, I can't. I have a boyfriend," I let out a nervous chuckle. Disappointment and shock flickered in his eyes. "You do? How come I never seen him?"
Millie's P.O.V. I left the party then headed back to my dorm. I couldn't believe Kevin. I thought he was my friend. I called Hayden when I got back into my room. I needed to hear his voice. But he never picked up the call. So I went to bed feeling disappointed. The following day, I woke up to his text. "Hey, Millie Mouse, are you okay?" He wrote. "Yeah, I am fine now. I just wanted to hear your voice last night,"I texted. "Sorry I didn't pick up. I was kind of in the middle of something. Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again. "Yeah,"
Millie's P. O. V. "So, you are going to accept that position in New York, so does that mean you'll be moving there permanently?" Zack asked me. "Yes. Alison, Hayden, and I have already found an apartment. Hayden found a job as an IT there, so we should be all set," I said. "That's great. I'm happy for you guys," he said. I finally graduated from University, so it was time for me to start a new chapter of my life. It was Hayden's birthday today, so we gathered around at his house. I guess in a way, it's also a going-away party since we were moving away soon. It was also the time for REVENGE! He thought I forgot about the cake incident at Alison's party all those years ago but nooo. I have been waiting for the right opportunity. And now is my time. We gathered around to sing happy birthday. Hayden wrapped his arms around my shoulders and gazed into my eyes lovingly as I stood next to him. His mom fed him a piece of cake. Then it
Hayden's P. O. V. I was relieved when Millie said she believed me. I don't know what I would've done if she had left me. Probably kill both Ellie and Kevin. I needed to find out what the hell their deal was. Ellie definitely wasn't into me. She did that to help her asshole brother Kevin who was obsessed with Millie. I knew that deep inside. "I need to confront those two. Enough is enough," I said grimly. They took things too far. They are lucky I wasn't calling the police on them and pressing charges for assault. "Yeah, you are right," Alison sighed. "We can't let Kevin harass Millie later after you leave. He probably thinks he had won." "Let's just show everyone that we are still together for now, and their idiotic attempts to break us up didn't work," Millie said angrily. It was time for us to head back, so we packed all of the stuff and headed to our cars. "Is everything okay? You didn't really sleep with Ellie, did you?" Ja
Millie's POV. I woke up in the morning alone in my bed. Was Hayden awake already? It wasn't like him to wake up early. He always complained about how he wasn't a morning person. I wondered if he was too drunk and fell asleep in the living room. I got up and took a quick shower, then went to look for him. He wasn't in the living room. All of a sudden, I heard Alison screaming, so I went to see what was going on. My heart stopped as I saw Hayden in Ellie's bedroom. They were both half-naked. I couldn't stop my tears from flowing down my cheeks as Ellie said those ugly words about Hayden. MY HAYDEN! I ran out of the room. My mind was clouded with anger and sadness at first. I tried to breathe slowly to calm myself down. There was no way what I saw was true. Hayden could never cheat on me! But what if it did happen? What if he did sleep with Ellie in a drunken state? Would I be able to forgive him? I couldn't think. I just needed to get ou
Hayden's P.O.V. I woke up in the morning with a terrible headache. What the hell happened last night? I turned around, expecting to hold Millie but sat up abruptly as I realized I was lying next to Ellie. Ellie woke up and sat up next to me. "Good morning, sexy, you are up early!" she said. "What the fuck is going on, Ellie! Why am I here?" I said and looked down. I wasn't wearing a shirt. Although I still had my jeans on. "What do you mean why? Don't you remember our amazing night together?" she pouted. "I don't know what the hell you are talking about. I had too much to drink, and now I woke up next to you. Explain yourself, Ellie," I demanded. Ellie's smile disappeared, and her eyes turned cold. "You are being mean to me, Hayden. As far as I know, you wanted this. You couldn't wait to take me to your bed last night." "LIAR!" I screamed and grabbed her shoulder. "What's all this commotion?" I heard Alison say and open
Hayden's P.O.V. "Who wants to take shots!" Ellie exclaimed. "I am good," Millie said. She winced. Not a fan of alcohol, I guess. My good girl, I smirked as I thought to myself. The others voted yes. "Hayden?" Ellie waved the bottle of tequila at me then poured some into a cup. "Sure, I guess," I nodded in agreement. I started to drink early because I was the family's black sheep, so I was used to it. "Oh, come on Millie, stop being a goody-two-shoes and join us," Jacob said. "She said she doesn't want to, so don't pressure her," I said and wrapped my arms around her protectively. She put her head on my shoulder and snuggled up close to me. I held her hand and gently squeezed it reassuringly. We were at Ellie's grandfather's beach house, and everyone decided to gather around in the living room. Ellie poured tequila into shot glasses and passed it on to the rest of us. "I think I am gonna turn in," Millie
Millie's P.O.V. After a nice long day at the beach, we went back to the hotel. Hayden grabbed me before I had the chance to go to the bathroom or change. God, what am I going to do with this guy? "Alone at last," Hayden smirked. "What are you planning to do about it?" I pretended to look scared. "Oh, I don't know. I guess you are about to find out," he said and pressed his lips on mine. I grabbed him by the neck and pulled him closer to deepen the kiss. His hands searched throughout my body, sending a tingling sensation all over it. I was already turned on from watching him lying on the beach shirtless, so I was hardly in the mood to protest. "Hayden....I..." I tried to speak in a hoarse whisper, but he kissed me again and shut my mouth. "Shh...don't push me away this time, just let me make you feel good," he whispered, and I nodded. There was nothing I wanted more than for him to touch me. He took my swimsuit cover-up
Hayden's P.O.V. I watched Millie as she pranced around in her cute little red bikini. She must be trying to punish me, which is why she turned down my advances this morning. Dammit. I was turned on more than ever. I saw Kevin watching her from the corner of my eyes. Rage slowly built up inside me as I saw how he looked at her, but I couldn't do anything since he hadn't done anything to her. I tried to keep my anger bottled up for now. One wrong move, and I'll snap at him. His sister, I think her name is Ellie came and sat next to me. I wanted nothing to do with her or her brother, but I decided not to be rude. So I returned her smile and turned my attention back to Millie. "Hey!" she said. "Hey.." I said distractedly as I watched Millie swimming in the ocean. "So, you're dating Millie, huh?" she said. "Yeah," I said. She inched closer to me. "That's funny because she doesn't seem like your type," she smiled. I looked at
Millie's P. O. V. Hayden visited me again so we could all go to the beach. I was ecstatic. I wasn't too happy about seeing Kevin again, but at least Hayden would be there. "Hayden, stop that! We are going to be late," I groaned as he started to caress my breasts while I was getting ready. "Not if we are quick," he smirked. "Qui...quick? We aren't doing that!" I protested. "Aw, why not?" Hayden pouted. "Because they will hear us from the next room. And what if they come and walk in on us? So just get off of me before that happens," I said and pushed him off. "Fiiine, you are no fun," he said. We were going on a beach trip today, so I was trying to do some last-minute packing. But of course, Hayden has to come and mess with me. "You got everything you need?" he asked. "Yeap," I answered. "Toothbrush and toothpaste?" "Check." "Shampoo and conditioner?" he asked. "Check!" I sa
Hayden's P.O.V. "Text me as soon as your plane land," Millie ordered. "I will," I said and kissed her forehead. After having an amazing weekend with my girlfriend, it was time for me to head back home, which was really upsetting, to be honest. I didn't want to leave, but I couldn't afford to stay. I'd have to try and be more patient, I guess. "If that idiot Kevin try to do something again, you tell me right away. Got it?" I said. Next time, I'd break some teeth. I don't care if I go to jail for that. "Yessir!" she saluted. I kissed her goodbye one last time before I got on the plane. I knew Millie was a strong independent adult now, but I couldn't help but worry about her. At least Alison was with her, I guess. Or else, she would be all alone in the city with no one to rely on. I was exhausted by the time I got home. It wasn't an awfully long flight, but it felt like forever. I felt lonely as soon as I landed back home. I got too used
