Chapter 45

I stepped into a completely dark bedroom. When I came home, I was unsure if Willow had gone to sleep in another one. I wouldn’t be surprised if she did, but I would still bring her back. I couldn’t sleep without her, and I knew she felt the same since we were mates, but I wouldn’t blame her for trying. However, as I entered our bedroom, I saw her curled up on the bed, the sheets all the way up to her chin. The bedroom was so dark, I could have been fooled, but the way the clump shifted a little told me Willow was over there. I slowly closed the door, then walked over to where the night lamp was on my side of the bed. I turned it on, seeing the clump curl together even more as if trying to shield herself. I hated Willow was almost scared of me, and I was unsure how to really solve this. I wanted to say something, but I had no words.
