Chapter 5

I look around in the campus ground.

Where is he?

"Hey Syrzzel!"

I turned to look at who called for me.

"Thank goodness, there you are." I sighed

"Sorry. I have to accompany my girlfriend to her class, you know." He grinned.

"Being the sweet boyfriend act huh." I chuckled.

Bryle is my classmate on one of my subjects. And we are partners for our lab. We decided to meet up today for our project.

We're now on our way to the laboratory and discussing about the things that needed to be done ffor our project.

I tuck my hair under my ear and I absentmindedly turn my head on my left side.

Suddenly my heart is beating faster than it's normal rate.

There he is again.

Why do I always find this Reniuexo guy wherever I go? Sometimes he's with his two buddies but most of the time he's alone.

Is he stalking me?

Okay woah. I'm assuming too much.

He suddenly looked at where I am, and he caught me staring at him. To save myself from too much embarassment I gave him a smile and  then pull back from our staring contest. I focused my attention back to Bryle who's talking nonstop.

Exiting the laboratpry I turned to face Brylle.

"I'll have my book now Brylle."

He offered to carry my book earlier.

He gave it back to me.

"Syrzzel I can drop you off on your dorm." He offered

"Thanks for the offer Brylle. But I'll take care of it, besides your girlfriend is already waiting for you."

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Of course, my dorm is not far from here anyways."

Tumango-tango siya.

"Fine. Take care, okay? I need to go and fetch Diane. See you tomorrow." He said smiling.

"Yes yes I got it. Just go already." I said and chuckled.

He then walk away.

Brylle's girlfriend is so lucky to have him. He is such a sweet and kind boyrfiend plus he's also good looking

How about me? What kind of guy will be my boyfriend?

My mind keep on wandering on weird things nowadays. Shaking my head I started to walk and go home too.

My eyes traveled in my surroundings. It's already late. It's quarter to nine pm. There's now taxi around here during this time. So I decided to just walk. I'm already used to it anyways.

I'm now walking on the street that leads to my dorm.

I cross my arms in my chest to lessen the cold.

"Aaarf! Arrf! Arrf!!"

Was that a dog?

I halted myself from walking when a dog is now infront of me.

He kept on barking amd growling.

He looks like he wants to eat me. He looks mad.

I didn't even do anything.

"Hey there doggie!" I said trying to calm the dog but instead his bark got louder. I guess he didn't like that. He's now slowly walking towards me.

Why is this happening now and at this hour? When there's no one that can help me because the street is deserted. I'm the only one wlaking on this neighborhood right now.

Oh gosh! I don't want to be the dinner of this dog.

I slowly took a step back because he's going nearer and nearer to me.

"You stay there! I was trying to be nice okay? Don't move any further."

"Aaaarff!!"

What should I do? He keeps on getting nearer and nearer. Should I just run for it?

I quickly turned around to run for my life but I got clashed by a body that looms on me.

Thank God someone's here with me.

"Please help..." I pleaded the person as I encircled my arms on his arm eventhough I don't who is he.

I looked up to his face.

"Reniuexo?!" I exclaimed out of shock.

He smirked at me.

Feeling like I was burned I was about to let go of his arm but I was shocked to feel his other arm encircled my waist.

I swallowed hard.

"Aaaarffff!"

But then my thoughts were cut off when I heard the dog barking again. I forgot about his arms around me.

The dog was so close at us. But he suddenly stop on barking and growling when his eyes landed on Reniuexo. We were all silent for a moment and the dog just kept on staring at him. I turned to Reniuexo. He is also staring at the dog but more like a glare. I can even hear the growl that wants to come out from his chest because of how close we are on each other.

Confused, I looked back and forth at him and the dog. And I am shocked to see that the dog is now sitting and bowing his head.

Okkkk-aaayyy?

What's up?

I snap my head up to see his face. But he is already looking at me. He have that smug smile on his face.

"H-how did you do that?"

"I train dogs." He simply answered.

I just stared at him for a moment until I realized thag I'm still so close to him. I quickly pull away from him.

"T-thank you for helping me."

I said to him shyly. I probably looked so funny earlier.

"What are you doing here anyway?"

"This is also my way home."

"Ahhh." is all I replied.

I lowered my head because I still feel concsious.

"Cmon, I'll walk you home."

I looked back at him again.

"No, it's okay. I don't want to bother you anymore."

"No. I'll walk you home." He said like it's an order and no space for buts.

"F-fine." And for some reason I just found myself obeying him.

I looked back at the dog again that is now sitting on the ground and his tail wagging. How did he even do that? He must be so good at training dogs.

We walked side by side but I put a space between us. We fell in silent. But I find it really comfortable, that feeling that you get when you're so used to someone that you don't need to talk to ease the awkwardness. It just kind of feels natural that I'm with him right now which I find really weird because I need some time to be comfortable on someone.

When we reached the dorm I faced him as we're standing in front of the gate.

"Again, thank you."

He just nodded and didn't say a thing. I waited for him to go but he didn't even budge. He's still standing infront of me and seems like he's arguinf with himself.

"Are you okay?"

He frowned.

And I didn't expect what he did next. But then I was taken aback when he suddenly hold my hand and pulled me to him. Our bodies collided.  A breathy gasped came out from my mouth.

He put his head in the crook of my neck and I heard him sniff.

Is he smelling me?!

I felt goosebumps all over my body.

He then whispered something.

"Mine."

And screw it, I feel butterflies all over my tummy.

He slowly pulled his face from my neck and stared at me. I stared back at him with my eyes wide and mouth hang a little open. And his eyes, it's like it changed. The grey shade on his eyes seems like its shining.

"Goodnight Rose." He said in a hoarse voice.

He then pull away from me and left.

I can't move from where I'm standing. My heart feels like it would burst.

What just happened?!
