Lexi

I made a quick stop at the grocery store before going home. After putting all my things away I noticed I still had two hours before I had to get ready for work.  I've had a weird feeling since my run in with Aiden. And it followed me to the grocery store. I kept feeling like I was being watched but there was no one around. It made me feel restless. There was nothing I could do around the house to help calm me. The house was clean and all the laundry was done. I knew I couldn’t focus on studying but I needed to clear my mind.

I grabbed my new coat and walked out onto my pack porch and grabbed a shovel. Maybe some physical work that I don’t have to think about will help. My porch isn’t very big. Just big enough for a built-in bench, a small grill and garden table for two. It didn’t take me more than ten minutes and my mind was still cluttered. It might have taken most people longer but for some reason I have been strong and faster than most people I know. It started in my early teens. It came in handy when I was on the track team but I also know I got some odd looks from people. I didn’t think I was very different but my grandma said it was a family trait and helped me learn how to control it so it didn’t freak people out.

I remembered one time when I accidentally broke the door to the bathroom off. That was the first time my strength scared me.  I was worried that I could hurt someone so I worked with grandma every day to learn how to control it. But when I’m alone I let myself go from time to time. I understood why I had to hide parts of myself but I hated it. I even wore contacts for a while to dull my eyes. Those were the worst. They made my eyes itch and red. I asked many times why I was so different but my grandma would always tell me that I would know when the time was right but that I was special and destined for great things.

Unfortunately that day didn’t come. My grandma passed away before she could tell me anything. The only thing she did say was on my eighteenth birthday. She said that it is getting closer to the time to tell me about myself. I’m almost twenty one and I still have no answers. And since there is no family left I don’t think I will ever get the answers. But I don’t need that on my mind on that either. Just more puzzles I don’t have all the pieces for.

I put my shovel so it was leaning against the house by the  back door and sat down on the steps. I stared off into the woods about fifty feet from my house. It was one of the reasons I bought the house. I have always been drawn to the first even when I lived in Florida. When everyone I knew went to the beach I was much happier exploring the woods. It was a happy place for me to go when life got a little too much for me to handle. When  my parents died. When I had trouble in school. When I had trouble making friends. And when my grandma died I would go to the woods like it was calling to me and it made my worries easier to deal with.

I wish I could go there today but I’m worried I would lose track of time like I always did. So I sat with my face up to the sky and closed my eyes. I soaked up the sun's rays and tried to clear my mind. I breathe in the crisp air and blow it out. I feel myself relax. I do my best to block everything but the sounds of nature.  After a little while I’m not sure of the time I’m clear headed for now. I hear a twig snap which is weird because I shouldn’t be able to. I pop open my eyes and look at the edge of the woods.

I see a wolf standing about twenty feet from me and it feels like it is looking at me. This one is different from the one I saw yesterday. This one has milk chocolate fur. I stand up but instead of backing up slowly and going into the house like a smart person would do I talk to it. “ Hey there, handsome. You startled me. Where did you come from?” He tilts his head and has his tongue hanging out and his ears pinned back. He looks goofy and I can’t help but giggle.

“ Well, it is nice to meet you but I need to get ready for work and I’m sure you need to get back home.” He lays down and whines a little bit. “ What’s wrong buddy. Don’t you want to go back home?” Yes, I have decided the wolf is a guy. And I’m still talking to it. I should be running but the funny thing is I don’t feel scared at all. “ You know what. I bet you are thirsty. With all this snow and ice I imagine getting water is hard. Stay there, I'll be back.”

I run inside and find a large old bowl I never use and fill it with water. When I get back outside I half expect the wolf to be gone but nope he is still sitting in the same spot. Like he listened to me. Weird. I step off the porch onto the ground. “ Here is the deal. You are going to stay there like a good wolfy. I’ll bring this a little closer to you.” He moves his head up and down and wags his tail. I laugh, “ I’ll take that as a yes.”

I walk carefully towards him keeping my eyes on him in case he makes any sudden moves. But he just lays down putting his head on his paws. I stop a little more than halfway between the house and the wolf. I lay the water down firmly in the snow so it doesn’t fall over. When I stood back up I saw the wolf has belly crawled about a foot closer but still I felt no threat coming from him. “ You know, seeing you closer, you are kind of cute. And for some odd reason you are listening to me. I think. Or I have lost my mind. Hell, maybe a bit of both.” I shake my head and laugh.

“ I’m going back into the house. When I get on the steps you can get the water. You know I have to keep myself safe after all. When you are done go home or chase a rabbit or something. It isn’t safe for you so close to town. Someone one might try to shoot you or something. And I don’t want that to happen to you.” I said. Then I did something even stupider. I turned my back on him and walked back to the  porch. Strange thing is he never moved until I was standing on the porch. I know because I kept looking over my shoulder.

Aiden

I was sitting at the packhouse having dinner with the rest of my family when I saw Jesse walking in late. He is never late for dinner. Or any meal. The man eats constantly. He grabs a plate and loads it with a mountain of food from the buffet before sitting down. I shake my head. I’ll never understand how he can eat so much. Yes, we are wolves and require large amounts of food to keep us going but Jesse takes it to extremes. “ You're late.” I said to him. Jesse looks up from his plate “ Yea, went out for a run and lost track of time.” I nod at that. We all have done that a time or two. Our wolf takes control and we lose ourselves.

But there is something else. I’m watching him through dinner and notice his  eyes will glaze over. He isn’t mind linking anyone since we are all here so he must be talking to his wolf. At one point Jesse gets aggravated and speaks out loud. “ I know. Will you give it a rest? I’m trying to eat.” We all stop and look at him. Jesse looks at us and blushes before rumbling “ Sorry.” “ Razor any idea what is going on with Jesse?” I asked. “ Not Jesse but Remus is excited about something.” Razor said. “ Do you know why?” I asked. “ No clue. But I have never heard him like this. But he isn’t talking to me right now. Remus keeps bugging Jesse.” Razor said.

I decide to just wait and see if Jesse tells me what is going on. All through dinner Jesse and Remus go back and forth. It is really bugging me. And Razor is right. I have never seen them act like this. I guess my dad has had enough. “ Jesse, what is going on with your wolf? I can feel his excitement from here.” dad said. Now that he has said something, so can I. That is  weird.

Jesse bows his head “ Sorry Alpha. Remus won’t shut up.” “ Care to enlighten us?” dad asks but looks like he is trying not to laugh. “ I was out for a run when we felt something. Or Remus did.” Jesse said. “ What was it? A rogue?” dad asks suddenly on alert. Jesse shakes his head and looks at Jackson, Melissa and me. “ No Alpha. Emotions.” Jesse said. He looks at me and says “ Lexi’s emotions.” I sit up straight. “ What do you mean?” I asked.

Jesse says he was running through the woods when he felt something. He followed the feeling and it led to Lexi’s house. “ What did you feel?” I asked. Was she afraid of something? Did someone hurt her? Why should I care? “ Frustration, confusion and sadness. Aiden I was five miles away when I felt it. The closer I got the more intense it felt.” Jesse said. “ And that has Remus excited?” I was curious why his wolf would be excited about that. Confused maybe because Remus shouldn’t have been able to feel anything. Especially at that distance.

Jesse shakes his head and smiles. “ No. Lexi saw Remus. It was like she sensed us. She even talked to him. He is excited because she talked to him.” “ Wait, she knows about us?” I asked. But how could she? “ No, I'm pretty sure she thought I was a regular wolf.”  Jesse said. “ Damn it Jesse. You need to be more careful. You probably scared the poor girl.” Jackson said. He is right.

Jesse has a far off look on his face and leans back in his chair. “ But she wasn’t. You are right she should have run as soon as she saw me standing at the edge of the woods. She talked to Remus. She said we startled her. But then she called Remus handsome. She even gave him a bowl of water because she was worried that with the ground frozen we couldn’t get any. She even got about ten feet away from us but never showed any sign of fear.” Jesse said. He is silent for a minute before he says “ Now that I think about it. The longer I stayed the more her emotions seemed to calm down. Lexi was curious about me. A little nervous. But never afraid. And neither was Remus. He listened to her when she talked. I don’t get it. If she hadn’t said she was going to work and told Remus to be careful so he wouldn’t get shot I think he would have stayed the night to be near her.” Jesse said.

“ Who is this Lexi?” dad asks. We all explained how we met her at the diner. And how all our wolves are drawn to her but we can’t explain why. I leave out the part about her being my mate. I don’t want my dad to know I was paired with a worthless human. They explain how their wolves feel protective over Lexi but we don’t know why. “ Did you get her last name?” my  mom asks. What an odd question. We all shake our heads no. Why is that important? My parents share a look then turn to us.

“ We need to talk to the elders. I’m sure they would know something. I need all of you to be present when we do.” my dad said. We all nod in agreement. Nothing like this has ever happened before so we need to know more. And maybe I can figure out how to reject her without her knowing what is going on. Razor growls at this but I know he  will get over it. I have already started keeping an eye out for any worthy she-wolves that would make a good Luna.

“ Then it is settled. I will call a meeting and I will go see this Lexi girl and see if I get any vibes off of her. I’ll talk to Patsy as well. Maybe she knows something about her that can help. This situation is strange indeed, ”dad said. With that we are all excused. I need to get my mind off of Lexi and this situation so I’m going to go to the gym. I don’t trust Razor not to try to after Lexi so I’m staying in tonight.

There is nothing to do until we talk to the elders. Me, I'm staying away from that girl as much as possible. I don’t need her invading my senses. Razor wants to take control whenever she is near and it is getting harder to hold him back. I have never had that problem before and it pisses me off. I will not let this girl ruin my life.

Lexi I had another odd dream last night. I don’t remember much of it. There was howling, fangs, claws, red eyes and yellow eyes. I could feel the claws scrape down my arm. I was terrified. Then suddenly I saw that goofy wolf from earlier today and Aiden’s ice blue eyes and a chocolate wolf and I wasn’t afraid anymore. I felt safe. Then my left shoulder started to burn right at my birthmark. It hurt but not bad. All of the sudden it stopped and was replaced with a soothing voice. “ Follow your destiny. Find out who you are. We are all here to guide you. Trust in yourself. Trust in your guardians. Trust in your mates.” It was a calming woman’s voice. I felt a sense of peace wash over me and it chased away the horrors of before. When I woke up I was so confused. What did the voice mean? What guardians? What the hell are mates? And who are we? I swear I’m losing my mind. It is just a dream. That is all. I must be over doing it with school and work. It is causing my mind to play tric

Lexi After I got home I had a quick snack of sliced apples and grapes. After my snack I make sure I have everything I need for work. I have an hour before I have to be at work so I go out on the back porch. I like sitting out there. Maybe I should invest in an outdoor heater or something so I can sit out here more often. I lean against the railing and just look out at the woods. But I don't really see anything. I’m just letting my mind wonder. When I finally open my eyes I see the same chocolate wolf from yesterday. At least I think it is the same wolf. He has the same coloring and eyes. And definitely the same goofy look on his face. This time instead of sitting at the edge of the woods he is sitting by the bowl I gave him. “ Hello again.” I said. He sits down and opens his mouth letting his tongue hang out. I laugh “ Your silly, you know that. Would you like some water?” Yep, I’m talking to a wolf again. He nudges the bowl with his nose. Did that just happen? “ Ok I’ll get you som

Lexi It has been two weeks since the nightmares started and now they come every night. Tonight is no different. It starts off pleasant. Memories of my grandma and my parents. Days having fun on the beach collecting shells and swimming. My fifth birthday party with everyone I love around and alive. It flows through my mind like an old home movie. I’m at peace and happy. The peace doesn't last long. The memories fade to pitch black. Glowing neon yellow and red eyes and razor sharp fangs with no face appear. A deep menacing growl breaks the silence making my heart race. I try to run but am frozen in place. I open my mouth to scream but nothing comes out. The eyes and teeth seem to be getting closer and the number has increased. They are no longer faceless, they have morphed into wolves. Rabid foaming at the mouth wolves. I want to cover my ears as the growls get louder. One jumps as if to attack. I won’t go down without a fight. So that is what I do. I fight back. Another wolf jump

Luther/Diesel I let Diesel out for a run with my Gamma Dean and his wolf Kratos. Diesel has been acting odd all day so I figured a run would help. He was antsy and irritable when he is normally a calm wolf. I asked him what was wrong and all he said was “ We have to go.” I let Diesel take control which I now think was a bad idea. He has taken me to a part of the forest that we have never been to before. I know there is another pack around here and we don’t want to cross their land. It could cause more trouble than I want to deal with right now. I need to figure out what is going on with Diesel. We run for twenty minutes before Dean links me “ Where are we going man?” “ I don’t know. I’m letting Diesel lead.” Suddenly Kratos and Diesel stop. Diesel sniff the air. “ Luther, do you smell that?” he asks. I breathe with him and catch the sweetest scent ever. A mix of strawberries and chocolate. Definitely out of place in the woods. “ Luther, do you and Diesel feel that?” Dean asks. “

Aiden We have been waiting on the Elders for over a week to get answers about Lexi. Standish has been watching Lexi in class and follows her when she is on campus. Trenton and Nyson have gone to the archives like Razor told them but so far nothing. I have been able to avoid Lexi but Razor is getting pissed at me. I asked a pretty she- wolf to go for a run with me. Not as pretty as Lexi but the girl wasn’t bad looking. I would fuck her if Razor would get his head out of his ass. I can’t get my dick up and when it came time for a run Razor refused to shift. When I tried to talk to him he shut me out completely. I looked like an idiot in front of that girl. And another girl I asked out Razor came forward growled at her and used his Alpha voice to tell her to stay away from me. What the fuck man? I’m never going to get a decent Luna or even laid as long as Razor keeps this shit up. I couldn’t take it anymore so I went to talk to my dad. I knocked on his office door hoping he was not b

Lexi Tonight is a busy night in the diner for some reason. We have been backet since lunch. I am only working the lunch and part of the dinner shift since I have a study session with Jesse today. That means I don’t have to close. And I’m happy about that because I want to sit down for more than two minutes. I just dropped food off at one table when I saw another table of mine just filled up. Wow, I just cleared that table. I have made good money today so I’m not going to complain. I get to the table, noticing there are three guys and one girl. They all smile at me like they are happy to see me. Maybe they are super hungry. I have never met these people before. There is one guy I can’t take my eyes off. I feel like I have met him before but I know I haven’t. I would remember that face. Skin like cinnamon. Strong jaw. Dark green eyes I could get lost in and never want to come out. And his smell. Yum. He smells like pumpkin pie spice. It reminds me of the pies my grandma used to make.

Luther I was a little disappointed when Lexi first turned me down for a date. But when she explained why and she wouldn’t blow her school work for me I was proud of her decision. She was holding on to what is important to her and wouldn’t put it off. And I was pleased when she said she would go out with me the next day. When she walked away to check on her other customers I turned to my friends. Keeping my voice low so Lexi couldn’t hear us, I asked “ So what do you guys think?” I brought them here to meet Lexi and find out a little more about her. I told them about meeting her and our interaction. Scott answers first “ She is more than human. I can feel it. So can Damon. Damon says he can sense a little bit of wolf in her but it is like it is asleep or something. We both feel protective though.” Freya speaks up next. “ I feel protective too. And those eyes. I thought you two were exaggerating. But wow. I feel bad for her. You could tell by the way she reacted Lexi is used to having

Aiden I know my dad was against me rejecting Lexi and had hope I would change my mind. That is not going to happen. I know I’m doing the right thing. I found the books dad told me about. There were three of them. It didn’t take long to find what I needed. It said that both parties will experience some pain but the rejected will feel more. It is a risk I am willing to take. I’m sure it won’t be bad. Razor hasn’t talked to me since I left dad’s office. What he has done is sent me pictures of Lexi. Lexi smiling. What he thinks Lexi might look like naked. Those were hard to ignore. My dick woke up and wouldn't go down until I jacked off in the shower. Twice, with the image of Lexi under me panting and screaming my name as I make her cum. Her tits bouncing as she rode me. My hands firmly on her hips holding her still as I jackhammered into her. She looks good in clothes. I bet she would look even better naked. I shake my head to rid myself of thoughts. I don’t need a hardon while talkin

Ryan I know when Valerose showed up at the ceremony you thought there would be some epic battle. Some were probably hoping for it. Part of me was. The other part of me didn’t want to see Lexi go through it. It was always going to be Lexi that took Valerose out. Oh, Luther and I were going to help but it was going to be Lexi that killed him. I didn’t want her to have to deal with that. It would destroy her. I couldn’t stand to watch her go though it. So if we have to put up with a vampire as Lexi’s third mate then so be it. Luther and I talked about this extensively last night while Lexi was alone with Valerose. We needed to do something to keep our mind off of what was happening in the other room. No, we weren’t jealous. I honestly thought we would be at least a little. Even our wolves didn’t have a problem. Luther figured it was we knew he was her mate it didn’t bother us just like it didn’t bother us when either of us touched Lexi. No, we had to keep ourselves busy because as much

Luther As the wolves went for their snack Mary came up to us. “ My kings, breakfast is being put out.” That was Mary’s way of telling that we needed to get Lexi moving or she would never get a warm meal. Each cook gives us a ten minute heads up so Lexi can make her rounds. Now it is time to get Valerose involved in Lexi’s routine. He needs to learn so why not start now. “ Baby, why don’t you grab your coffee and head to the dining room.” I suggest. Lexi finally gets up off the floor. She has been watching the wolves since they left to eat. Lexi has always been protective over them. I feel it will get worse now that there are pups on the way. I don’t have a problem with it. It’s her motherly instinct. Her Luna instinct. “ She will be a wonderful mother to our pups. Arya as well.” Diesel said. “ I know buddy.” I agree. Lexi smiles, gives me a kiss on the cheek before doing the same to Ryan and Valerose before grabbing her coffee and heading to the dining room. Ryan stands from his c

Valerose Holy Goddess. Lexi has a sexual appetite that has no bounds. After we had sex the first time we went two more rounds. The second I explored every inch of her body with my hands and tongue before I made slow love to her. The third was a quick hard fuck. My mate seems to enjoy it anyway I take her. After the third round we laid in bed, our arms and legs tangled together, coming down from our orgasmic highs. We fell asleep with Lexi’s head on my chest. I figured we would both be out for the night. Boy was I wrong. I don’t know how much time had passed, however I do know what woke me up. It was Lexi’s lips around my dick. That led to another round of sex. I swear we didn’t sleep, just napped throughout the night. She has incredible stamina. I guess she would have to so she will be able to keep three mates satisfied. Or was it that she needed three mates to keep her satisfied? The thought makes me smile as Lexi rolls off my lap where she just finished riding me into another

Lexi I took Valerose to Ryan’s packhouse since it was technically the closest. I could feel how anxious Val has been to get me alone. I don’t think he realizes it yet that I can feel his emotions even though we haven’t mated yet and he hasn’t marked me. I know he wants me alone. Yet, he has shown incredible patience. For the stories I have heard patience is not something Val is known for. Rumors, hearsay, is all that is. I need to put all that aside and get to know Val, the man, my mate. The person he is beyond what others think they know. I get the feeling there is so much that he doesn’t show the world. Some he may not know himself. We will figure it out together if that is the case. As we are driving I see Val looking around like he is trying to get his bearings. I know he has never been here before. I take his hand and cradle it in my. Val turns to me with a curious look. “ I can’t thank you enough for how patient you were back there.” I told him. Val smiles. A true smile. On

Valerose I feel like I’m in one of my dreams. I have Lexi in my arms, pressed against my chest dancing. She is smiling up at me. The look in her eyes. It is what I believe is love. Since I have never seen that look directed at me I’m not sure. I have had women look at me with lust or fear. But never love. I have however seen this same gleam in Lexi’s eyes when she looks at Ryan and Luther so I’m pretty sure it is love or at least the beginning of it. I will know for sure when I hear the words from her mouth. For now I’m just going to enjoy the real Lexi pressed against my chest. No longer a dream I have the real thing in my arms. It is better than all my dreams combined. I wasn’t sure if I would ever get to do this. There was a good chance Lexi would reject me. She still can. “ She was never going to reject you without giving you a fair chance. That’s who she is.” Arya says in my head. Am I ever going to get used to that? “ You are going to have to. Ryan and I will be watching for him to screw up. I don’t think Lexi will let Valerose fail. After we got done with the vampires Lexi led us over to the wolves. Lexi kept Valerose close by holding his hand. The other hand was firmly in my grasp. Ryan had his hand on her back. All of her mates were touching her just the way she liked it. Lexi was attempting to talk to all the wolves present when Tyler, Jesse, Melissa and Billy came to us. The girls were giggling so I knew they were up to know good. Ryan I was shocked when Valerose showed up. I figured he would fight the mate pull a little longer. Luther and I stayed close to Lexi but this was her show. We were going to let her deal with him how she saw fit. It would end one of two ways. She was going to accept him or reject him. If a fight broke out she was going to kill him. Luther and I were just there to support her in whatever choice she made. When he freed those wolves I knew he made his choice to accept Lexi. It was a good move on his part. Then the Goddesses showed up. I swear nothing should surprise me anymore. Not with Lexi around. From the way, she brought packs that had never been associated with each other together. Or the way she handles two mates. Now three. Don’t get me wrong, Lexi made Valerose work for claiming her. I had to hold in my laughter watching this powerful vampire look so confused and unsure. I’m speaking the truth. You are old” Arya giggled. “ It is good to know that you are accepting your gift. How do you plan claiming your mate? Words won’t be enough. I’m sure you can understand that considering your history with wolves.” Lexi smirks. It seems my girl wants me to prove myself to her. I can do that. Here goes nothing. I look at the vampires around me including Embrose and discreatly nod. Embrose didn’t like this when I told him my plan. After seeing he also wolf mate I hoping this may help sway her. It took me a few days and a few dreams to figure out what Lexi was talking about. Then I felt stupid for not realizing it sooner. I needed to tune myself into Lexi. I needed to feel her energy. It was a matter of me shutting my head off and trusting my instincts. Today felt like the day to do it too. So I gathered the wolves I freed and along with Embrose, we set out. Yes, I freed twenty wolves. I did it for Lexi. I wanted to show her how serious I am about her. I will be freeing the rest soon. I can’t rule by Lexi’s side if I’m still holding wolves captive. Yes, I have accepted that my life is going to change. I’m hoping for the better. I wanted to fight my attraction to Lexi. I didn’t want any part of her or her wolves. I wanted to rule over everyone. That was until the Vampire Goddess got involved. She showed me what life could be like with Lexi. I have told you about some of those visits.
