The evening sun had cast its long shadows on the ground by the time I stepped out of the hospital. The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky.
I could see Hunter still waiting in his car. He had his earphones on and his head rested against the seat as his eyes were closed.
As soon as I got close to the car, I knocked on the window and Hunter slowly opened his eyes and went on to open the door from inside the car.
"Hey, how was it?" He asked once I sat down.
"She's awake now and she looks better" I informed him, grinning.
"That's great. Shall we go home now?" He ignited the engine, ready to drive off.
