After sleeping most of the morning, Lia and Jake snacked, snuggled, and made love in their rooms. The activities on the lawn and in the house grew louder as everyone’s anticipation of the wolf moon grew. The new coupe hardly noticed the festivities, except once, mid afternoon, when the howling and cat calling from below the balcony had Jake reluctantly pulling Lia up from the bed.

“Put on...something.” He grumbled as he waved around her room. “They’ve scented our pheromones now so they won’t leave us alone until I take you out and introduce you as my mate and Luna.”

“Oh.” Lia’s face burned with embarrassment.

“Yeah. Then I guess we better leave the doors open and put a fan on for a bit to push the scent out as much as possible, otherwise the little Rogues will be asking questions and the big ones will be distracted all through dinner.” A smile curved Jake’s lips as the heat of her blush made the scent of their lovemaking even stronger. She was definitely more easily embarrassed than any she-wolf he’d ever met. He pulled her close and kissed her passionately, rubbing his thigh between her legs until he scented fresh arousal on her, then he stepped back grinning wolfishly. “Fresh proof for the masses” he whispered.

“Jake!”

He just shrugged, “I want them to know you want me. Not to mention there is a good amount of my cum gushing out with that moisture of yours, so they’ll know was inside you just a moment ago.” She growled slightly, blushing even more, “And even better, with your blushing like that our scent is absolutely radiating off of you,” he whispered against her ear, “they’ll know we both liked it.”

“Jake no” she protested as he pulled her towards the door. “I can’t!” He grinned over his shoulder.

“Hey, I’m letting you wear clothing. Normally the Alpha couple is naked for the introductions.”

“Oh God!”

“Goddess,” he corrected gently as he tugged her onto the porch with him. “Werewolves have a Moon Goddess and several Lycan kings that are all revered sort of like saints or prophets, but we do not have a God.”

The whistles, howls, and cheers grew to near defining when they stepped up to the railing. Jake raised their clasped hands and the crowd hushed instantly.

“Cloud Lake Pack, on this day of the wolf moon, I am thrilled to introduce Luna Liana!”

Cheers erupted immediately, then the music began blaring from the outdoor speakers and everyone went back to the celebration.

Jake tugged Lia back indoors, stripping her clothes off as he directed them towards the bathroom.

“That wasn’t too bad, was it? Now we’re going to see how many ways we can pleasure each other in the shower while the Omegas get the room straightened and change the bedding. Do you think we can be quiet or will they be able to hear you as well as smell you?” She blushed again and Jake laughed, swinging her up into his arms. Would he ever get tired of making her blush?

Later, as the sky darkened, Lia smiled tremulously as she hugged her friends goodbye. Everyone told her to relax and assured her that this would “just happen”, but she wasn’t so sure. Jake and every one of the Rogues had shifted between twelve and fourteen years old and Zinnia had only been even younger! None of them knew of a werewolf who reached eighteen without shifting. What if she was too old now?

“You’ll be stunning,” Ellie assured her as she left, “just relax and soak in the moonshine. You’ll see.”

The door was barely closed behind them when Jake spun her towards him and started kissing her. She was tense at first, but as he kissed, and caressed her she was too distracted to realize that they were slowly shuffling towards the balcony until he was lying her down on one of the lounge chairs. She started to panic, pushing him away, but he wouldn’t let her.

“Shhh, the moon isn’t even shining this high yet darling,” he slid his hand between her legs and probed her fold with his finger, “relax, let me in.” He slid onto the chair beside her and they were soon so intertwined that nothing was on her mind aside from the pleasure they were feeling.

Jake was not nearly as distracted as Lia was but only because he worked hard to keep part of his mind on their surroundings. He kept glancing at the level of the moon, waiting for her light to shine on them. A few wolves howled on the grounds, but he seemed to have Lia so distracted that she didn’t even notice. He smiled to himself, as he stroked in deep, then pulled all the way out. She gasped “more!” and reached for his hips.

Jake moved his hips out of her reach as he got up on his knees and started shifting her position too, careful to keep the view of the moonlight from her. “Up on your knees Lia, turn and brace your hands on the back of the chair,” he kept stroking her skin as she turned for him. “I want to take you from behind.” was what he said, but he was thinking, I want to take you as a wolf. The moonlight was spilling over the end of the lounger as he slipped inside her again. He could feel the fur growing on his legs and back. He bent forward, licking Lia’s back, and growled deep, loving the soft texture of the fur that was spreading over her. He felt himself changing shape inside her, and tried to resist. He made his hands move over her faster, trying to keep her from noticing his changing shape and the feel of their fur. He wanted to see her shift with his human eyes first. She stiffened underneath him and yelped. It was not a human sound and it caused his wolf to demand release so he increased the pace of his thrusts hoping to come before he fully shifted. She twisted beneath him, whining and yelping, and knew she was hurting more than she should because she was getting frightened. He checked his hands, still human, so he reached around underneath her and found her nipples, plucking and twisting until she moaned. He slid one hand down her stomach and felt the wolf tits puckering her flat stomach, a thin soft layer of fur rapidly sprouting around them. He scratched over them with his fingers, which were just starting to sprout claws and she moaned again, arching her back and pushing her backside against him. He felt her tail stretching up between them, the long fluffy fur brushing against his face as it started to shift into a wolf’s muzzle. He tensed, releasing inside her just as she gasped. She yelped loudly and stiffened.

They were both wolves.

Jake jumped down off the lounge and looked at his mate. She was sitting on her haunches, her front paws still on the back of the lounger, and her snow-white coat was gleaming beautifully in the moonlight. She was panting slightly, still whimpering a little. He could smell himself leaking out of her and was satisfied that his scent would be strong on the fur there and every wolf would know she was his. He smiled to himself, thinking how embarrassed her human half would be when all the wolves, male and female, buried their noses in the fur at her entrance to sniff heartily and learn her scent. Would her embarrassed human feelings warm her wolf body and strengthen the scent even more?

Jake could barely contain his excitement now. His tail was wagging hard as he waited to see her reaction to her first shift, but her eyes stayed closed. After a few moments, his tail slowed as his wolf tried to reach her through the link and she didn’t respond. Why couldn’t their wolves link now that they were fully mated and she had shifted? He had thought that her link to him would be fully open now. He yipped at her and she tensed, but still kept her eyes closed. If it weren’t a wolf moon, he could shift back to human and talk to her, but as a wolf, his options were more limited. Jake stepped forward cautiously and put his front paws on the side of the lounger, bringing his face up level with hers so he could nuzzle her cheek. Her head bent lower, but she still didn’t open her eyes. Jake whimpered. Even his wolf was getting concerned now. Maybe Lia had been right and waiting too long to shift could cause problems. Or maybe mating before a shift? Since most wolves shifted at the onset of puberty he didn’t think anybody had ever tried that. Maybe he shouldn’t have been so quick to brush off her concerns. Jake touched her mussel with his nose again and noticed a tear on her fur. He licked it off and felt a shiver run through her. Relief washed over him as her eyes blinked open. She saw her paws first, then looked down at the rest of her body before she turned to look at him. He headbutted her gently and looked her straight in the eye, his wolf urging hers to open to him through the link.

Lia sighed in relief as her wolf and Jake’s finally managed to mind link. The first image he shared with her was of a majestic white wolf on a lounge chair with her eyes closed and her head tipped up to the sky, the moon gleaming brightly behind her, its light sparkling and glowing on her fur. His first image of her as a wolf, she guessed. She heard Jake whimper then and knew that without her consciously trying to, her wolf had shared the feelings of her experience with him. Her orgasm had been sweet but then the pain of shifting had ripped through her with such intensity that for a moment she’d been terrified the change was going to just tear her open and she’d bleed to death instead of fully transforming! As that had dimmed, her other senses had exploded. She had always been able to see, hear, and smell more than her human friends, but the full wolf senses were amazing. The intensity of it had completely overwhelmed her at first. She could scent every wolf in the pack and hear every

Liana awoke the next morning with a sneeze. She sat up, looking around the room. She was human again. When had she switched back? Obviously that hadn’t been as painful as the shift to her wolf. She was human, naked, and curled up on the floor near the fire in the Alpha family’s suite. Jake was behind her, his hand on her hip tightened slightly as her movement disturbed his sleep. She sneezed again and felt the tingling all the way down from the back of her head to her shoulders. “Aconitine?”Jake sat up. “Wolfsbane? Here?”Jake stood, pulling Lia to her feet with him. “Is it on us? Do we need to shower?” She sniffed again, following the scent to the open patio door, sneezing twice before she got there. “It’s definitely coming from outside, but there can’t be any plants from the Ranunculaceae family growing wild in the winter. I think I smell Albert too, and Albert shouldn’t be hunting this close to houses.” She sneezed once more and pulled the patio doors shut against the smell and th

She was colder and more miserable feeling than she had ever been in her life. Either sea sickness increased over time and made every motion more miserable than the last, or the sea was getting rougher. Did that mean they were moving out of the bay? Was the falling snow in the bay just a taste of a storm raging off the coast? On the next large swell, her cage slid across the deck and bumped into Selene’s. The two stared at each other

Four white paws padded softly along the water’s edge, and the young werewolf was being extremely careful not to actually get his feet wet. Being a wolf was new to him, but he was determined not to let that show. He bent to lap gently from the water just as the full moon crested over the waterfall. The jet black fur on his head and back gleamed brightly as the moon rose high enough that her light slipped over the falls to illuminate the pool of water and the whole werewolf family at the bottom of it. The young wolf looked up at the moon, blinking his heterochromatic eyes, first the blue one and then the brown before he howled his greeting to the goddess.A wistful little sigh drew Lia’s attention down to her daughter’s dark brown eyes. “When will I get to be my woff, Mama?”“Oh my little wolf,” Lia laughed, scooping her tiny daughter up in a hug and rubbing noses with her. “You will shift when the moon goddess knows you’re ready.”“But eva-buddy but me gets ta be a woff,” the little one

Wolves and people began appearing from thin air, all facing the lycan with their heads bowed.“Where is the pup from Cloud Lake who they call Zinnia?” A girl stumbled forward from the back of the assembled wolves. There was a bag over her head and her hands were tied. Both the bag and the rope disappeared, the only reminder that they had been there was a faint red line around her neck and wrists.. “Where is the mate of Zinnia?” Dylan’s wolf appeared beside her and she dropped to her knees, wrapping her arms around his neck. Around noon, bit of a commotion in the yard pulled Jake from his comfortable sleep by the fire. He lifted up to listen for a moment, but since no link message accompanied it he assumed it was nothing important and settled back down when Lia’s wolf snuggled in closer to his side. They hadn’t moved from beside the fire since they’d come in from the chaos of the previous night. Lia’s wolf was still weak and she got chilled every time the fire died. Jake fully expected to hear from the lycan again soon, but he wasn’t in any rush. A few more angry wolf noises roused him again, this time enough that he linked with Mark to find out what was going on.“No need for you to come, Alpha. We have dealt with the problem.”“What problem?”“First there was some commotion around the Lycan guest cottage. We didn’t know what it was, but the Lycan had not stirred and none of our pack members were there so we left it be.
