"Please, say something... Are you upset with me too?" Juan asked, attempting to fix his hair. He was met with a piercing stare that sent a shiver down her spine, prompting her to move away slightly.
It seemed as though the monster spirit still lingered within him, but then he closed his eyes and returned to his normal state, casting a gentle gaze at Juan, who breathed a sigh of relief.
"What do you want me to say...? You always try to control me, wanting me to do everything your way," Aaron then responded to her with a disapproving look on his face.
Upon hearing his words, Juan cautiously approached him, swallowing nervously. "Aaron, are you blaming me for my sister's behavior?" she asked, pointing at herself.
"And whose fault was it then!? who should I blame?" Aaron retorted, his eyes wide with anger, leaving her startled. It was clear that Aaron was visibly upset and frustrated.
"I don't understand why everyone is angry with me," Juan replied, a look of sorrow on her face. She was doing her best to be kind to both Aaron and Alice, but they didn't seem to want to understand her.
"I'm angry with you because it's all your fault! I warned you that she couldn't be trusted to see the other side of me. You should have known that your sister never liked me!" Aaron raised his voice, making Juan place her hand on her head in frustration.
"Aaron, I've known that all along, I..." She tried to continue, but Aaron cut her off.
"Then why did you insist that I must help her? I warned you about this! I told you that she would never keep quiet until she reveals what I truly am to the world, and you know the consequences and now I'm scared!" He said, taking a breath, his heart racing and tears welling up in his eyes, mirroring Juan's speechless expression.
"Obviously, you won't say anything now because you knew what she's capable of, yet you kept pushing me to help her, now my life is at risk!" He raised his voice, causing Juan to react immediately and start pleading.
"Okay, I'm sorry! I know I'm the one to blame, but she's my only sister. Come on, what are you saying? I can't stand by and watch her die!" Juan replied, tears streaming down her face as she widened her hands in a pleading gesture.
Her response prompted Aaron to rise from the the tree root and confront her with an even louder voice, his hands outstretched, his face filled with curiosity. "Why do I have to be the one to save her?" He shouted.
"Because you are my only hope! You are my only option, Aaron," she replied calmly, looking into his eyes.
"Who else could I turn to out here in the middle of the woods? It was a sudden attack, and you were the only one I could reach out to. They were nearly killing her, I couldn't stand by and watch her die," she explained, as Aaron fell silent, contemplating her words, glancing briefly at the sky.
He began to grasp her perspective, realizing that she had no one else to turn to in the midst of the woods except him who she could easily call out to no matter where he is.
So, Juan gently reached out to his face with her hand, guiding him to face her.
"Look at me, Aaron. Do you think I would ever consider doing anything to harm you? I had no choice but to compel you to act as you did, and I am grateful for it," she said to him in a calm, soft voice.
"But Alice doesn't see it that way," Aaron replied, shaking his head.
"That's what I'm trying to convey to you—I will make her understand. She's still consumed by hatred. Don't worry about your safety; I will ensure she comprehends," Juan reassured him, nodding hopefully, believing that things might improve for him rather than worsen.
"I trust you on that," Aaron responded softly, his voice tinged with a hint of hope, as Juan smiled at him.
"Yes, you can. Everything will be okay, I promise. Let's head home; Alice might be in danger by now," she suggested, reaching for Aaron's hand to walk home together.
However, Aaron suddenly pushed her hand away, causing Juan to gaze at him in surprise, perplexed about what she might have done wrong again.
"Are you saying that I should go and fight for her again? Oh, wow," Aaron remarked with a pained smile, placing his hands on his hips, leaving Juan still puzzled by his reaction.
"I can see now that you don't care about me!" He added, shrugging his shoulders.
"What!?" Juan reacted in shock, taken aback by his statement. Despite standing by him through challenging times, always supporting him, being his family when his own had abandoned him, and when everyone else who knew about his other side wanted him dead, she was always there for him.
"Yes, you only prioritize your sister. You only use me to protect your family as a whole! You pretend to care, but you don't! You're only pretending because you are using me to safeguard your family," he exclaimed with determination, attempting to walk away. Juan, despite being deeply affected by his words, grabbed his hand holding him back.
"Aaron! You know I care deeply about you. I understand you're angry, but please choose your words carefully when speaking to me. I am the reason you are still alive," she said, fighting back tears. Her eyes were brimming with tears, but she managed to hold them back, a single blink would make tears flood her eyes.
Upon hearing her words, Aaron merely offered a fleeting, irritated smile. "Do you truly believe that? If so, then it's best that I remove myself from your life now. Let's see who truly depends on whom for survival," Aaron retorted before storming off in anger.
"I know my sister and I rely on you as well, but that's why we need each other," Juan shouted as she tried to follow him, but she couldn't keep pace with his brisk strides.
"That's not the way home. Please, you don't have to do this!" she called out, but he paid her no heed, continuing to walk away.
"Aaron, wait!" she cried out desperately, yet he ignored her, nearly disappearing from view as he walked further. By the time Juan caught up to the spot where he had vanished amidst the trees, he was nowhere to be found.
"Aaron, please!! I know you can hear me. I'm truly sorry for being... selfish. I take full responsibility! Please, come back, let's go home!" she shouted, her voice ringing through the forest, but there was no reply.
She sank to her knees, tears streaming down her face. This day seemed like the worst she had experienced.
It was the day she was mistreated by her only sister for trying to save the person she loved. It was also the day she was rejected by the one she loved for attempting to protect her sister.
Rejected by the two people she cherished most on the same day. What had she done to deserve such heartache?
•Later That Night• The beautiful moon was shining so brightly on the elegant duplex, which was located solitarily at the heart of the woods. It's a very beautiful house, but it's not that solitary because there are still some houses that could be found just a few steps away from the house. However, the specialty was deeper in the forest, with many beautiful vegetation around it, all smiling under the moon. Alice was inside her room in that house, holding her books in her hand, trying to grasp one or two things from it in order to face tomorrow's school project based on debate. But what happened earlier was really a distraction to her, as her mind kept reflecting on it. She couldn't just get it off her mind even though she was trying. So she ended up setting the book aside out of frustration, took a deep breath, and then a knock sounded on her door. She could think of no one except Juan; she knew Aaron wouldn't dare knock on her door, not even now that the pressure was higher. She
•The GardNers Highschool• The fenced high school was really beautiful, containing many buildings inside the compound. One of the houses, which was the highest of them all, had bold writing on top of the building. "The Gardener's High School" was the phrase written on it, in gold color and very bold. The gold color glittered brightly as it reflects the sun rays. The environment of the school compound was also very neat, well-decorated with flowers. In the center of the school compound, there was a beautiful small round garden that contained apple trees and other food crops. However, there was a massive population of students entering the compound, and Aaron was among them. He headed straight to his classroom, where he sat down gently and started revising his books. He was actually one of the debaters but he wasn't prepared, which is why he was quickly reviewing the script he was given. He had little time left because the debate was the next day. Although, he couldn't concentrate mu
•Juan's Home• After school, Aaron went home without hesitation. He was really worried to know the reason why Juan didn't come to school. Upon reaching the house, it was so quiet. It seemed like Juan and Alice were inside. He tried to open the door and enter but hesitated, withdrawing himself, and ended up knocking on the door gently. Receiving no response, he decided to knock a little harder again but still got no reply. He then took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door open. Upon entering the house, he discovered that no one was in the parlor, and it still looked somewhat disorganized. "Juan, are you home?" he called out with a soft voice, but no one answered. Everywhere was still quiet, so he headed straight to Juan's room. He didn't find Juan there. He then checked Alice's room, but no one was there either. "Anybody home? Juan? Alice?" he started calling out with a louder voice and searched all around the house but couldn't find either of them. His worry intensified as h
•Somewhere At The Highway• • • Aaron's car slowly pulled up beside the highway and parked by the road. This highway was where Lucy had directed him; it was the exact spot where she had picked up Juan. Upon arriving at the highway, Aaron gently brought his car to a stop and scanned the surroundings. The highway was lined with woods on both sides, and there was no sign of any other cars passing by, as it was already late at night. The only sounds breaking the silenced night were the eerie calls of strange birds. Aaron, unfazed, carefully scanned the area, hoping to find trace of the people that kidnapped Alice. After looking around for a while, he decided to move to the left side of the road, away from where he had parked. Upon checking the surroundings, he couldn't find any possible strong trace that could track those guys. So as he was about to walk away, he noticed a movement within the forest. He withdrew back, returning his gaze to that spot, but didn't see any further unu
•Welcoming Her• Immediately, Juan ran out of the house and hugged Alice, checking to ensure she wasn't hurt. "Alice, are you okay? I hope you weren't hurt by them," She asked. Alice, who did not seem hurt in any way, appeared indifferent to her sister's concern. "I'm fine," she said, leaving Juan behind and heading straight to the house. Upon meeting Aaron at the entrance, she ignored him as she entered. Aaron and Juan exchanged a glance. Alice's sudden arrival was so strange, and she did not appear to have been hurt by those guys in any way. Nevertheless, Juan proceeded inside the house, following Alice, while Aaron also joined them inside also, everyone of them wanted to hear from Alice. • • "Alice, what happened? How did you manage to escape from them?" Juan asked immediately she joined Alice in her room, while Aaron waited at the entrance. "I told you I'm fine! Please, leave me alone!" Alice yelled, chasing Juan out of her room and locking the door. "Are you sure you are
"Aaron! What are you doing in here?" she exclaimed, trying to cover her nakedness with her hands. Aaron immediately shifted his gaze to the floor as Alice retreated back to the bathroom. "I... I came to check on you," Aaron stated after stammering for a while. "Check on me! You entered my room without my permission," Alice yelled loudly before shutting the door of the bathroom. "I know, I'm sorry, but I think I should be leaving now," Aaron said as he exited her room. While he was leaving, Alice quickly opened the bathroom door, peeked out, and prepared to speak but ended up remaining silent, allowing Aaron to get away like that. Then she stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel, and hurried to her phone on the bed. She checked the text message sent to her. Her heart filled with unease as she realized Aaron might have seen the message, although she couldn't be certain. She knew she had to be cautious and swift in her actions, especially if Aaron hadn't seen the message.
"She was devastated. She became silent and refused to speak to me for days. We loved him; he was a caring father," Juan revealed, leaving Aaron hesitant to share his thoughts. He needed to delve deeper into this. He believed that Alice might seriously need help to break free from those guys who could be using her while threatening her with something else. As Juan spoke, tears filled her eyes, overwhelming her emotions. Aaron then shifted from his chair and sat beside her. "It's okay, Juan, everything is going to be okay, and your dad will be forever remembered in the hearts of many," Aaron encouraged, embracing her and gently guiding her to rest her head on his shoulders. Aaron could think of nothing else but to confront Alice and talk to her. It was evident that those criminals were using her, possibly leveraging something against her or threatening her. He needed to have a conversation with Alice to understand the nature of the arrangement she had with them and the person they we
They kissed deeply once more. At that moment, Alice sat in her class, glaring at them with a menacing expression. Her plan was already ensnaring them, just as she had intended. Aaron would never notice her scheme. Before long, Aaron wearily rose to his feet, looking exhausted. His mind was likely troubled by thoughts of Alice."Aaron, is something else bothering you?" Juan asked, observing his distress. He shook his head, pretending to be okay when he clearly was not."No, I'm okay," he replied, but Juan promptly cut him off, almost interrupting him."I can tell when you're not okay. You're acting strange. What's wrong?" she asked. Aaron nodded, swallowing nervously."Yeah, it's probably because of Alice. Not what she said to me, but... I can't help but feel sorry for both of you. Losing a dad like that, I wonder how it feels to have one. I never knew mine," Aaron admitted."I'm sorry about that too, but whoever your dad was, I'm sure he was a great man, much like the amazing son he ga

The battle was intense. Our small group of rebels fought fiercely against the enemy soldiers, but we were outnumbered and outmatched. The sound of gunfire echoed through the city streets as we exchanged blows with the enemy.Naza fought with all her might, her fists flying as she took down soldier after soldier. I couldn't help but feel a surge of pride as I watched her in action. But we were still losing ground. The enemy soldiers kept coming, their numbers seemingly endless.Just when I thought all was lost, I heard a loud rumbling sound. I turned around and saw a group of tanks rolling towards us.I knew we couldn't take on tanks with just our bare hands. We needed something more.I turned to our allies. "We need to retreat," I said. "We can't fight tanks with what we have."But just as we were about to turn and run, I heard a voice calling out from behind us."Wait!" the voice said. "I can help you!"I turned around and saw a man standing there, dressed in a lab coat. He looked ou
★Juan★I panicked as I realized that Naza was nowhere to be found. I searched around frantically, calling her name, but there was no answer. My heart raced as I imagined the worst. Had she been taken by the enemy? Had she been hurt?I couldn't let that happen. I had to find her, no matter what it took. I took a deep breath and focused my mind. I closed my eyes and tried to sense her presence. It was faint, but it was there. She was still alive.I opened my eyes and followed the trail. It led me to a nearby alleyway, where I found Naza lying on the ground. She was unconscious, and there were bruises all over her body. I knelt down beside her and gently lifted her head."Naza, wake up," I whispered. "It's me, Juan."Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at me with a weak smile. "Juan," she murmured. "I knew you'd find me."I felt a surge of relief as I saw that she was still alive. But I knew that we couldn't stay here for long. The enemy was still out there, and they would be look
★Joel's POV★So finally I have killed Levi? I think that's good for him, he messed up with me and I did what is right.Well, the part that I know that I will be in hot soup if Anna get to find out that I was the one that killed him.So I have to runaway from this particular area this moment so that I won't be caught with his dead body.So without hesitating I moved on deeper into the woods. But why I was running into the woods my heart was also hitting so hard because of the dark lord.I can't even tell the deal that I signed with him, does that mean that I sold my soul just like that? Well, I should keep that aside for now and focus on my quest. So just getting to this particular place, I noticed some sudden moves.I does no longer need any clearance to discover that it was a werewolf.Well, this night is going to be so bloody, many werewolves will fall this night because as I can see many of them are in this woods. It appears like this is their best place, so as I sighted this ones
Levi was taken aback by Joel's sudden movement, he wasn't expecting him to pull out his arrows and aim at him. "Joel, what the hell are you trying to do? have you lost it?" Levi asked as he tries to step closer. But just to discover that Joel was so serious as he drags the arrow readily to shoot him."Don't dare come close to me, or I will blow off your head instantly" Joel yelled at him as he moves backwards."I think that you are totally insane, have you gone nuts? I'm now the current enemy?" Levi said with his two hands up."Oh you don't think so? I thought you have supposed to be aware of that!""You are my greatest enemy and you know that! and didn't I warn you not to hunt with me?" Joel asked as Levi was still looking at him in shock. The fact that Joel was still aiming at him readily with the bow was what irritates him mostly. That arrow could mistakenly go out of his hand and end up killing him."Before we can continue talking please just put the arrow down!" Levi said as Joe
Joel and Minsk was still engaged in a serious fight. It was however very tough for the both of them. But Joel is already having the upper hand here as he knocks Minsk down with one final punch."Hmm, how weak are you? is that even all you got?" Joel said as he stares at Minsk who was sitting aside watching them."You are so weak Minsk! but whenever you encounter people you are stronger than you treat them like an animal" Joel said. And he was right, this is just to prove that Minsk have encountered many people at the gardener's high School.Minsk has made many friends but because of his ego and selfish reasons. It is either he end up betraying them or he chased them away from his side or even try to kill them.He was however happy the time it was him humiliating Joel. Not neither does he know that Joel is his doom, he has already been destined to end up in Joel's arms."You see so weak! I'm so glad that I met you here, to be sincere you can't express how happy I am meeting you here on
"Naza!!!" she screamed louder looking around looking for her."What?" she cried louder running up to her at the cage and started pointing at their hut which is already burning down with fire."Naza! thank God you are here!" Juan said as she reaches close to her.But can see how sad she is."What's going on are you okay?" Juan asked touching her hair."Mama...! mama...!" she was shouting pointing at their hut which is already burning down with fire.Juan understood what she was trying to say immediately. Her reaction shows it's all that her mother is inside that hut."Okay, open the gate are you with the key!!!" Juan said hurriedly trying to help out but that is only if she can get out of the cage. But so sad there was no key to open the cage "Hell no! no!" she screamed louder matching the cage as the fire is already taken all over the hut"Mama!!!" Naza started screaming louder as the hut was burning down."No!!!!" she screamed louder matching the cage."Juan!?" a voice called her na
The full moon has rises, the dangerous night have finally come."Guys now it is time, let's do this!" Anna said looking at Joel and Levi."Are you guys ready?" she asked."Trust me I'm always ready" Levi replied and then Anna looks at Joel waiting to know what he is replying might be."Of course, if someone that didn't get himself prepared is ready then you don't need to hear from me to know that I am ready as well" Joel responded. At this time he was stunning he has the best look among them. His dressing are all making so much sense, he shifted from the absent and gaze at himself from the mirror. Then he applied his eyes patch which made him look more stunning. The others was just watching him as he is getting himself more prepared the for the mission, the air in the room seems to grow charged with anticipation. He reaches for his black leather jacket, the supple material creaking softly as he slides his arms through the sleeves. The jacket has seen many battles and bears the scars
"Guys as you know, this is the day we have been craving for""Everyone must get ready we are striking over night"Anna was seen addressing her group as they were sitting down at the living room."Perhaps, where do we have to start, I mean our beginning of work?""Are we starting with the stronger ones or...." Levi was still saying when Anna interrupted."No targeting of stronger or weaker ones, we just go out there and fight to protect this community" Anna said as Joel stands up from his seat."Are you trying to say anyone we encounter, we just fight?" Joel asked as he grab the popcorn on top of the table and started eating it."Exactly my point, you got my point we just fight any place we scent the smell of werewolf" Anna said."Okay, that would be probably good, nice idea from you Anna, perhaps I should go get myself ready" Joel said walking out of the living room. But as he was leaving Anna interrupted because he was not supposed to leave during the conversation. That is not accept
