Chapter 29 The Barter

“What’s that, my dear?” Claudia directed her eyes on the medium box that Sonya put on the table, in front the two of them.

Sonya deeply inhaled and beamed. She rubbed her forehead. She lost some words in her mind. “I…” She paused and turned her back to the shop’s closed front door.

“Yes?” Claudia dilated her pupils as she waited for Sonya’s next sentence.

“I want to sell these potteries!” She pushed the box to get it closer to Claudia.

Claudia put her glasses on. “What’s this, my dear?” She curved her eyebrows. She halted her two hands in the air as she was not sure what she was going to see from the box. She pushed the glasses up on her nose.

Sonya wrapped off the cover of the box and gave a time for Claudia to check inside the box. She was thumping her fingers on the table and biting her lips.

Claudia put a glance at her thumping fingers on the table as she boxed out some cups from the box. There were two cups.

She inhaled and took one cup. She was rubbing the surface of the cup as
