Roberto couldn't contain his anger at Lucia. He had never been embarrassed before like she did Today. He didn't bother waiting for the rest lectures because his mood was spoilt already and sitting in class would be a total waste of time.
“Serve me some tea!" He yelled at the maid, standing before him.
"Yes sir," the maid said, shivering like a jelly.
Lucia flooded his mind again. He couldn't understand what was going on with him anymore. He couldn't stop thinking of her and of how beautiful she looked. Her ass fitted perfectly on her slender body. Her boobs stood taut on her chest and were round and full. He knew it because he was experienced in things of the sort.
He was called the husbandman and was always changing women like he does to his wardrobe every month and he never went out with a lady more than once before getting into her Honeypot. they tripped for him and made no hesitation in giving him his desire. Though he was a flirt, he went out with only gorgeous Ladies and the luckiest of them gets to meet him quad times before he breaks up with her.
Lucia was different. She gave him no chance to even speak to her and it Infuriated her because now he wasn't flirting. He feels a stir in him every time he lays his eyes on her and he never felt such with other people who were even more beautiful than she is.
"Am I falling in love?" He Asked himself, as he sat in the swiveling chair. The maid brought in a cup of tea and placed it on the small table beside him.
"Is there any other thing sir?" The maid asked with her head bowed in a slight manner.
"You had better gotten your ass out of here," Roberto roared at the maid and watched her scurry out of his presence.
He continued with his brooding, "I can't surely be in love. No, it just isn't possible! I have never fallen for anyone and it won't start with her," he assured himself, nodding continuously.
"Then why are you desperate to be with her. She isn't as pretty as your ex right?" an inner voice asked him with a sarcastic laugh that shook him to the marrow.
"Well, It's just an attempt to get into her," he said to himself, trying to calm the spirit troubling him.
"If that is it, then why were you jealous when you saw her with another person?" The spirit asked again.
This time, he spared it no response and instead, yelled at it. “Get the hell out of me!
The voice stilled and went off without a trace.
"Why were you so saucy to Roberto? He was only trying to be friends with you, Lucia!" Jackson chided her as they strode from the University to their workplace.
"And why shouldn't I be saucy with him? I never said I want to be interested in any rich guy and can't you see he is only flirting with me?" She asked Jackson who was kicking some Peebles on the floor.
"Come on girl, you shouldn't judge him just like that. It might not be the way you are taking it," Jackson said with a blank look.
”Whatever, all I know is that I am not interested in him," she said, frolicking her eyes with indifference.
They got to the cafe where they worked and were surprised to see some police officers speaking to their colleagues.
Lucia's heart skipped a beat as her gaze fell on them. Diverse thoughts ran through her mind.
"What are you going to do, Lucia?" Jackson asked with fright in his eyes.
“I have no idea. What if they recognized that I was the one who killed those officers and is here to get me?" She asked with a mixture of anger and fright.
"I think we should go in first and then if anything happens, we run."
"Alright. Let's do that." Lucia took a deep sigh and then pushed the glass door that led into the shop.
The police walked up to her the moment she stepped in. "We are searching for some people, Jackson and Lucia! Do you perchance know them?" One of the officers asked with a bright smile that kept Lucia's heart at ease.
"Yes, I am Lucia. How may I help you?" She asked as she strolled into the counter.
"There was some murder at the venue of the societal elites yesterday's night after the event had ended. Do you perhaps know or see when this happened?"
Lucia thought for a while, thinking of the best answer she would give to him. "Murder! Oh my goodness! I never heard of any murder! And I wasn't at the place when that happened. I had gone already," she said with a flabbergasted grimace to make her claim more believable.
"Oh, thank you and we appreciate your time. Jackson works here as well, is he here?"
"He's over there," she pointed to the door and watched their eyes follow her eyes.
They walked up to him and engaged him in the same discussion they did with Lucia.
Lucia returned from the staff office where she went to change into her office wear. Jackson was laughing and she didn't understand why. "What's the laughter all about?" She asked as she took over from the staff on duty.
"It's nothing!" He responded with a childish grin that Infuriated Lucia.
"Fuck off!
Lydia had just finished her meeting with the president of the World Bank and was heading to the park where her chauffeur was waiting for her beside the 2021 rolls Royce when a man from nowhere ran and fell at her feet.
"Who are you and what do you want?" She asked as she gave him the devil's eyes.
"I'm sorry ma! It's Mr. Kim. Don't you remember me ma?" The man said with teary eyes.
"Mr. Kim? I'm so sorry but I don't know you and I don't remember hearing the name anytime before now," she responded, twitching her nose gently and then walked away with a devilish smile. She was smiling because she knew she was a good actress and deserves some accolades. It thrilled her and at the same time made her so upset.
This was the man who made her lose over a quarter billion dollars in the last year. She had given him an ultimatum of a year to pay back the money and by the deadline, he hadn't even up to half of it. Now, he was here, canvassing for another contract. It puzzled her how some people sometimes take my silence and calmness for stupidity.
"Let's go!" She said to the chauffeur, who started the car and then drove off before you could say, Jack Robinson.
The car zoomed out of the premises and all of a sudden, the man started to laugh.
His laughter rang in the air as he exchanged high fives with his son.
"Were you able to get the cheque from her bag in the car?" He asked, staring at his son with some great expectations.
"Yes, daddy!" The boy responded with a light giggle that tickled him and made him want to laugh again, but he knew another noise From their end would make the guards suspicious.
"That's good of my son!" He said and stretched his hand to collect the cheque from his son. The boy took out the cheque and his father let out a devilish grin.
The duo jumped up and was making merry at their luck and wise character.
He was the boy who was pleading with Roberto to please help convince his mother to assist them unknown to Roberto that it was a lie and fable he gave them.
The boy had taken himself and hidden under the car while the chauffeur went to get some snacks. He got into the car and was able to get the cheque. Now, he was out and it was all good.
"A hundred million dollars," he giggled with excitement as he was about to receive the cheque from his father.
"I would only give you this on one condition?" The boy said with a devilish smile.
His father frowned at his son's request because he knew he was so greedy. "Twenty percent is twenty out of hundred and I want it immediately before I hand this cheque to you!"
"You surely are kidding me with that word of yours? Twenty percent? We never made such an agreement! Why are you so greedy when you know the purpose the money's going to serve.
"I am not kidding you dad and neither am I joking here. I didn't agree to receive any payment because you never told me the money is as huge as this is. Deal or no deal?" He asked and turned his face to another corner when his father's gaze met with his. It was blackmail.
"Fine! Deal! Would you hand me the cheque now?" The man asked with haste in his voice.
"Come on dad! I'm no fool to believe you just like that. I haven't seen at least half of the fee!"
His father muttered a curse and then fiddled a bit with his phone. "I have sent it already!" He said, sticking the phone in his son's face, and just then did he give him the cheque.
"Asshole!" He muttered and went off.
Roberto sat in the huge living room feeling bored and a little stressed out. He was tired of pressing his phone. A thought swirled past his mind and he loved it. He smiled and then jumped to his feet. He picked up his phone from beside him and then dialed a number, so fast that it marveled the maid standing beside the settee.
"What's up friend, do you still need a stripper at your new club?"
"Yes, why do you ask? Have you anybody interested in it?" The person at the other end asked.
"I might just get someone after all but it would be for one night only!"
"A night! Why do you expect me to hire a stripper who would work for one night only and nothing more? Nah! I don't think that would be possible."
"I would pay you for it! Two thousand dollars!"
"Are you fucking kidding me? You are offering to pay me to hire a stripper you would bring?"
"Yes, and I want you to offer her nothing less than seven hundred dollars. I want you to offer her something she wouldn't be able to refuse."
"Alright boss!" His friend responded and then hung up.
Roberto smiled at himself.
He walked to the door and then signaled to one of the staff who walked up to him with haste.
"You sent for me sir?"
"Yes, I did. Prepare the car for me. I'd be driving somewhere."
"Alright sir, I'd get it done now!" the chauffeur said and left his presence.
He felt ecstatic as he waited. He couldn't wait to exact his revenge on Lucia for humiliating him in front of over three hundred persons. He still gets angry when he remembered it but the anger was at a subdued rate.
Lucia was attending to some customers when the door of the coffee shop opened.
"Welcome to Mark's coffee shop..." She trailed off and her countenance changed.
It was Roberto.
"Hi, Lucia! What's up with you!" He asked as he helped himself into one of the chairs.
A waiter walked up to him, bearing a menu in his hand. He reeked of excitement as he had never imagined that Roberto Avanti would ever show up at his workplace.
"Hello sir, what would you like to have?" He asked.
"I'm sorry but I would love it if I was attended to by Lucia," Roberto said with a smile.
The manager winked at her to express his wish for her to go and meet him. She refused at first but was left with no choice when he continued to stare at her.
"Good afternoon, how may I help you?" She asked with a forced smile.
"Please seat before I make my order," he said, pointing at a chair in front of him.
She obliged him.
"I have a job offer for you, but it's just for a night," he began and watched how she paid no attention to him.
He continued anyway, "you would be working as a stripper for that night and you'd earn almost a thousand dollars."
Her face brightened up when she heard that and instantly, her brain began to way her options. Self-dignity or a thousand dollars?
Lucia couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was her ears malfunctioning? She most likely didn't listen to the man while he was busily speaking to her.She tried to reprocess everything the man had told her but found out she came up with nothing tangible. The fact that she was a poor and struggling student didn't mean she had to take every dirt that was thrown at her by people who think they are the good of this world. She looked at the man before her with a deathly frown. She felt something swirling in her as the anger welled up in her. Her eyes were gradually turning yellow and her ears had become sensitive to sounds. She quickly caught control of herself and clenched her fists willing the claws which were coming out to retract. She had closed her eyes while steeling herself and as she flashed them open, the man before her was done talking. She didn't want to wish for anything to happen to him now since they were in a public place and Jackson had always told her to be mindful of whe
Not until you tell me what you discussed with Roberto." He parroted as he recalled the waitresses discussion on his way to her."Isn't that a form of blackmailing?" She asked with a quizzed grimace plastered on her face. She had to give it to this friend of hers. He surely knew how to use what he could do to get what he wanted to hear. She laughed in her head as she recalled what she had described him with."Yes it is, but which do you prefer? To tell me what you discussed with Roberto or have me tickle you until you laugh your ass out?"He threatened her with his eyebrows raised in trying to tell her to be sure of what she wished for."The latter!" Lucia declared, taking up r6 challenge. She would match up with him today and make him realise that he couldn't always use what he could do to get what he wanted to hear."Really, then you have chosen death!" He said with a loud chuckle and then with all his might, tickled her until she almost fell. She managed for a minute before giving i
Although the shock Roberto felt wasn't evident on his face, it was still present in his body. He didn't want to show he was scared. He should have known his mother didn't always plan something good.He worried about what was making the man a frequent visitor in their house. He knew his mother wasn't interested in him since she never bothered about men since the death of his father. The name rang a bell in his ears and he hated it. With all his might, and power did he hate it. It sent shivers down his spine whenever he heard the name and these days he had Been seeing lots and lots of the man.He felt that the man had an ulterior motive for coming around. He was always coming to their house on oneptetext or the other. He wasn't concerned about the man's presence, what he was more concerned about was his motive. After all, it was his mother's house and she could entertain whoever she wanted. What he was more concerned about was the probability of her falling into the man's schemes. He wo
"Are you kidding me, mum? Surely you must! Did I ever tell you I want to get married to the daughter of your friend or business associates?" He flared up and Lydia could do nothing but stare."I think you need to calm down. Just calm down. Let's not argue about this, once we get to the bridge, we would cross it." She said with a wave of the hand to signify her wish not to dwell on that issue anymore.Roberto stormed out of her presence, up the stairs and locked himself in his room.Lucia rolled around in the bed as she snoozed her alarm clock. She had slept s bit late the previous night. She had stayed up watching a movie recommended to her by Jackson. He had done that to help her calm down after killing those people. He told her she needed the movie as it was either she or them. She had to find a way of accepting herself. She had to kill when in danger. She had to kill in order to defend herself and she had to do all she could to stay away from silver bullet or chain. The movie was i
"I DON'T CARE! All I want is for you to find out how over twenty thousand dollars vanished 00into thin air." He yelled and then stormed out of the restaurant in anger. The man got outside and began to blow himself with his shirt's collar. He suddenly felt stuffed from inside as he took off his coat. Perspiration covered him and his shirt had become damp in the back.He began to think hard about what had happened in his shop. He had wanted to evade paying tax, that was why he had kept the money in a safe box in his office. The safe had a combination lock that no one except him knew. He wondered and worried about who could have broken into the office to steal his hard earned money. He knew that reporting to the police was a futile endeavour as he would need to explain how he had come across such an amount of money. He wouldn't be able to explain that it was his business money. He wouldn't be able to say something like that because he hadn't been paying the exact tax he was supposed to p
Roberto had just completed his second sleeping session and was feeling so re-energized. He had angrily gone into the room after the confrontation he had with his mother in the morning. He jumped on the bed and didn't know when he had slept off. He stared at the clock beside his bed. He raised his eyes in disbelief as he read ten o'clock on the clock face. His stomach rumbled and he knew he had to fill it up as soon as he can. He got up from the bed, stretched his body, and then strolled out of the room and down the stairs. He saw some of the maids cleaning the house. They all greeted him respectfully and continued cleaning the house. He noticed that a few of them were slightly shivering."Hey, you! Tell those in the kitchen that I need something in my stomach and they should make it quick!" He ordered as he took his seat on a chair, facing the huge kitchen. No one moved to get his request done and it Infuriated it and made him want to strangle one of them."Don't you heard what I said
A pin drop silence immediately spread around the room. Everyone's breathing hitched. They all looked on in astonishment. Including Roberto and the boss. The boss was surprised and slightly worried because he hadn't reported the theft of his money. He turned around to look at the faces of his staff members to know if any of them had done so.He knew many of his staff members weren't on good terms with Lucia so they may have seized the opportunity to bring her down. To his surprise, they were also as shocked as he was at the turn of events.Luckily for him, Roberto snapped out of the spell they were all held in. He walked threateningly towards the police officers and placed a comforting hand on Lucia's back. The action seemed to break every spell that held Lucia herself as she snapped out if her daze. Every other person in the room were still standing with a glossy look in their eyes."Can you kindly repeat the command you issued when you burst in here earlier, officer?" Roberto asked a
Jackson gasped in surprise at her hot temper. He couldn't understand her anymore. Where had his Lucia gone? She wasn't always as unreasonable as she was now.He worried that something was wrong with her. Perhaps, the events of this past days had gotten to her. He also thought that the data events had shaken her up.She may have tried to be strong in the presence of people but only he knew how much she was struggling. She was struggling in her finances as she had to save up all she had in order to go to school. She was also struggling in her identity as a werewolf. Not only that, she was also a rare breed between a witch and a wolf. She needed to keep herself or else, sorry would be too nice to say for what would be done to her if caught. She was indeed strong, Jackson thought as he watched her move further away from him. She was strong, even more than him. He'd have given up if he were in her shoes. He realised that he had hurt her feelings and decide to make atonements. He had to mak
Aria woke up to a disturbing dream that had plagued her that night. Her alarm had not gone off yet and the colors of the sky seemed to change as she stared aimlessly through her window. Golden shafts shooting upwards from the sun. The dream. It wasn't so much of a bad dream but it wasn't exactly a good one either, especially not at the time. It would complicate things because you see, the dream was about Jacob. An erotic sensual phantasm of her and her new boss. It had been a fairly long time since Aria had had a wet dream and so this bothered her. Flashes of pictures, memories of the dream flared all over eyes, burned through her mind as she struggled to keep him off her thoughts. She failed miserably. The details were still as clear as glass in her subdued memory. The images of his rugged handsome face leaning forward and planting a kiss on the base of her throat. Her whimpers as he carried on. She remembered digging her hand into his thick hair, begging for him to stop but never
Stephanie couldn't delay any longer as she wanted the best for her favourite cousin. Fear had struck a chord in her heart when she heard Mrs Avanti mention Lucia's name out loud. She knew her dissatisfaction and dislike towards people who weren't financially buoyant as she was. She often saw them as scum and never wanted to be associated with them.Stephanie's fear for Lucia was real because she feared that Mrs Avanti had discovered who she was and how much she meant to her son and wanted her out of the way.She knew Mrs Avanti would do anything to break the relationship if she knew Lucia wasn't from a wealthy family. And she didn't want anything bad to happen to Roberto. She was relieved when the latter ordered that Lucia be brought to the hospital and she immediately sprang into action. She knew she had to do this for Roberto and she hoped that Lucia would be willing to come with her.Stephanie left in the company of Mrs Avanti's secretary and they headed for the coffee shop where L
"The family hospital ma," her secretary responded aptly. They continued in silence till they reached the hospital. It was a big hospital of about twenty stories and was one of the best hospitals in the world. Its expertise is second to none with quality staff and equipments."Good morning Mrs. Avanti! I see you are here already!" Mr. Edwards greeted with a weak smile."Where's my son? Where's Roberto?" She asked with impatience."He's at the emergency ward."She froze and was baffled by what she heard."The emergency ward? Why would you put my son in the same ward with those people? Why? This is gross incompetent by you guys. You know how much I like only the best for my son," she ranted on and on, and all Mr. Edward did was laugh."Would you like to take a break ma?" He asked and immediately, she went mute, panting heavily."Roberto wasn't admitted at the general emergency ward but instead at the VIP ward!" He announced and watched her heave a sigh of relief."Thank goodness!" She sa
Lydia Avanti had ordered a press conference in order to address the anxiety of her shareholders, board of directors and the general public over their worry on who would take over the company in her absence. She made sure her personal assistant complied with her directive against his own misgivings after he had told her of the decline in the price of their stocks. The press conference was organized in the huge hall of the corporation. Within two hours of the announcement, the hall was filled to the brim and many were live streaming the event to the viewers at home.Over sixty reporters and journalists from various news platforms across the world gathered in the hall to listen to what she had to say. Many of them had been holding different news editorials on the issue.Investors, share holders, business moguls and partners, and senior managers of the corporation were also present. Many company employees were also seen trying to maintain order and blend into the teeming people.Mrs Avant
You said it yourself that I was way bigger than his wolf and if that means anything, it means I can subdue him in a fight. So, what prevented you from telling me about it untilit got to almost forty times.I thought I was your friend and friends stick through with each other through thick and thin." Lucia told him as she have him the stinky eye." I already blame myself for what happened to me. I don't need you to add to the guilt I'm feeling inside of me. I knew you would hate me when you heard of what had transpired but I also need you to understand me.I'm a nobody. No one except you and a few would notice if I'm gone if he did anything to me. By the time you would know he was the culprit, things would have..."" You know what Jackson... Let's forget about it because I do not wish to discuss this anymore!" She said with a raise of her hand and he went mute immediately.Other people on the bus had their eyes trained on the duo. They saw them whispering furiously at each other but no
Stephanie was his cousin from his mother's side and the both of them were so close until she went to the Philippines for some work. She left the year before and though they always chatted and video called on Skype, he still felt upset with her."And what offense did I commit? You know, I'm the one who's meant to be angry with you!" He said as he walked to the bathroom. She pretended not to hear him and went on with her talk."Aunt said you've been gloomy since yesterday and you have refused to talk to anyone except the doctor!""Yeah!""Is it about a girl?" She asked with a light smile."Yeah! How do you know?""How won't I know? So tell me, what's the problem?"He took a deep sigh and then went on to narrate what happened between him and Lucia, telling her even the details he didn't tell Mr. Edward."I think I can help you out!" After the meeting, he met me in the woods behind the pack territory and forced me down. I tried all in my power to resist him and succeeded. Within the twinkling of an eye, he shifted into his wolf and held me against a tree.I was trapped and scared shit out of my wits. His wolf was way bigger and more fearless than mine but not even half the size of yours. It growled at me and almost sunk it's fangs into my neck as I cowered in fear.He changed back into his physical appearance and told me he had control over me.He further told me that the punishment for disobeying any of the pack seniors was death first by killing your wolf by tieing it down with silver chains before you were shot dead by a silver bullet.Trust me,no one wants to experience that fate no matter how strong you were. I could only whimper pitifully as he roughly removed my clothes and forced his way in.I hated myself for what was happening time. I couldn't blame anyone but myself. I thought that was going to be all bu
Lucia saw that her friend was happy and even had a light spring in his steps as they walked towards the bus stop. He was happily humming a tune while he walked along the road. The joy in his heart was evident on his face. He greeted everyone they met on the way to the bus stop and even waved merrily to some kids playing football in a field.Lucia's brows furrowed in deep thoughts as she watched him. He normally was a lively person but today's excitement was on a new level. It was as if he had just been freed.Well, she was going to feel happy for him since he was happy. She only hoped it wasn't something temporal. She quietly walked beside him immersed in her own thoughts. She had been thinking things about some minutes before she remembered that Jackson had told her he had something to tell her. She looked up at him and sea him smiling happy at something only him knew about.Perhaps, what he wanted to let her know was associated with the way he was behaving now. It was better if she
