Chapter Thirty Eight.Piero had taken to staying with Natalia most of the time, into the night, but recently, he had been having a truckload of work and so he had to stay at his place. The reason for that was that Natalia would refuse to go to bed until he was done and had to go to bed too, and he did not like the idea of stressing her out due to his busy schedule, and driving through and fro everyday to see her was not an option as he still had a lot of work to do and so much could be achieved within that time. And even when he wanted to visit, Natalia had insisted that he stayed at his home to work.Natalia had been feeling strange all day. And no, it was not that she was pregnant, she had thought. But there was something in the air. Something funny, but not in a good kind of way.Natalia was not superstitious but she wanted to trust whatever it was that was in the air. She went inside to check on Delilah. She had converted one of the spare rooms into a room for Delilah so that she
Chapter Thirty Nine.“Honestly, my dear. You must have been so scared! I came as soon as I saw the news and even the weapon in use made me feel so afraid...” Suzanne Burungdy continued to talk over and over again.“Dear, she needs some rest and you have been yapping way too much.” Her husband said I’m a bid to keep her quiet, if only for a while.“No, I’m not happily. I have always hated Wendy. But Natalia was kind and accepted that devil for the way she was. It really bothers me how the good people are often the ones who get the negativity.” Suzanne said and sat down with huff.Natalia started to laugh, causing the surprised couple to turn to her and look. “You guys and your theatrics have never failed to amuse me. I feel better by just watching you relate already.”Natalia had been hospitalized shortly after the attack which Wendy gave her. Due to the wounds that she gave herself, anyway. But at least, her outcome was much more better than the other woman’s.Wura had died instantly
Chapter Forty.“You can easily do a whole lot of things, Natalia. I don’t see any reason for you to doubt yourself. I’ve got so many business ideas in my head and I know that you would be able to work them out successfully. Trust me.” Piero said.Natalia lay on the couch with a pout. Daniella was on the ground paying attention to the cartoon on the television.“No, baby. It’s not that I think that I would be terrible, I mean, I don’t think I’d be that good, but I hope that I won’t be terrible either, do you understand? What do you think I can do? It’s not like I’ve got a good part of Noah’s fortune with me.”Natalia shrugged.“Why do you want me to give you ideas when you’ve not even tried to think about one, my lazy sunshine?” Piero asked and Natalia slanted her eyes in his direction.Piero cleared his throat and sat up straight. “Yes, I’m sorry mama. But I think that you would do well in the fashion industry.”Natalia sat up. “The fashion industry?”Piero nodded, looking serious. “Y
Chapter Forty One.Years had gone past and Natalia and Piero had grown strong in their family. After their wedding and everything, they gave birth to twin boys two years later.Delilah had grown up to be a strong, smart teen and her boys were beautiful kids too. That's what Natalia loved thinking about whenever she could. She had felt that the dark clouds from a few years back would somehow destroy the happy home she had always longed for since her marriage to the late Noah. Piero had given her what she deserved. The late Wendy too.Nataia sighed as she looked at the clock. The school bus would be dropping the twins off soon, and Delilah would be back in less than two hours. She decided to bake.- "Delilah, are you coming to the party at William's today?" A short, red haired girl asked Delilah and she shook her head. "Um, no. I promised my mom that we would hang out today." "Okay, see you tomorrow!" The girl grinned and ran off.Delilah could not understand for the life of her,
Chapter Forty Two. "Mom, are you even listening to me?" Delilah yelled, causing Natalia to snap back into reality. "Delilah, who told you all this?" Natalia said slowly, her voice shaky as she spoke. "Can you please just let me know that it's just not true so that I can be calm, mom? You're my mom, right?" Delilah asked. "Sweetie, I want you to calm down, okay?" Natalia said, standing up slowly. "Mom, you're shaking. Why are you shaking? Is it because you're disappointed in me for not dismissing the rumours immediately? I'm sorry." Tears started to form in Delilah's eyes. "Promise me that you would not freak out. I am here for you, all the time. I am your mom, Delilah. Nobody can love you more than me." Natalia said slowly, still in her initial position.Delilah stood up. "You're lying. It's either you're lying, or you're keeping something from me. Something that I'm supposed to know, or you would ha e debunked all those things immediately I said them."Natalia sat down
Chapter Forty Three.Delilah let herself into the house without alerting anyone of her presence. She did not want to face her mom, or who she had always thought her mom was, rather, as she made her way to her room. She gave a thousand prayers as she turned the key and lifted the door slightly while pushing it, so that it wouldn't make any sounds and alert her mother of her presence.Delilah collapsed on her bed and closed her eyes. She had had an eventful night. Dennis's party was, as usual, extraordinary. She had hoped that in Dennis's room, no one would disturb her, but in only an hour into the party, she had chased three different couples looking for a room to do their dirty deeds, and even had to lock the door. Some still came knocking after that. With the party going on, and the loud music, Delilah was unable to gather her thoughts and so she was very angry through out the night.Dennis checked up on her regularly, but that didn't make her feel any better. She wished she had it in
Chapter Forty Four.Violet was still in the back seat, not needing to speak as the GPS gave them the exact location of the large building. "Go down and ring up. We're right behind you." Piero said. "Honey, I'm scared." Natalia said, her voice shaky as she held Piero.Piero held her hands and squeezed them. "Don't worry. Everything would be fine. She couldn't have gone that far, or anything."Natalia nodded and they both went out of the car. They met Violet at the door, and just as they came, the door swung open. "Good afternoon Mr and Mrs D'Ricci." Dennis greeted, looking confused. "What brings you here?" "You're my daughter's boyfriend, Dennis?" Natalia asked. Dennis turned to look at Violet who nodded at him. "Y-yes ma'am." He replied. "Well, is my daughter in there? Please let me know, I'm not doing anything to her, or to you. I just want to know if she's safe." Natalia said. "Wait, what is going on?" Dennis asked. "We haven't seen Delilah!" Piero said, trying to c
Chapter Forty Five.Delilah snarled in response at the people guarding her and the others, since they liked to speak dog so much.As it was, she was not the only captive, but she was the one that almost got away.Delilah kicked herself internally. All these things would not have happened if she had turned back when her mind told her to. In fact, maybe if she had stopped to listen to her mother, then she would not have been in this terrible situation. She should have allowed her mother to explain what happened, in her fair sense of justice. It was her mother that was there, and not the reporters after all. She shouldn't have concluded something based on the internet. Not when she knew that things like the moon landing was a lie.Or if she didn't run away after her mother had seen her when they went to her tree house.Delilah hoped that she would somehow be found. But how?Her mother had seen her run off, so maybe they would have thought that she was okay, and was only asking for a littl
Chapter Fifty Nine.Delilah stepped out of her father’s car, wondering if it was just another dream, or if she was in fact, back home again.Everything looked the same, yet different, and she could not forget how she had screamed sometimes at night.Poor Dennis had bagged himself a lot of scratches and deep cuts, but as far as that went, he was alright. “Mom!” Delilah ran. “I’ve missed you so much.” “You saw me yesterday, honey.” Natalia chuckled. “I didn’t see you in this house, so I guess that that counts.” Delilah smiled at her. “And aunt Demarr? Are you still hearing from her?” “Yes, she’s getting married soon. Postponed it so that you could be in attendance.” Natalia said, and Delilah squeezed her hands in excitement. “My favourite girls are happy. This is wonderful.” Piero said as he made his way inside. “I hope you’re not gossiping about me.” Natalia gave him the side eye. “Bold of you to think that we’re doing that. We’re talking about Demarr!” She looked back at D
Chapter Fifty Eight. “I believe that it would be better if we marked them off as terrorists, instead of demons.” The bald man sitting in front of Delilah said.Delilah looked at the man, her mouth open in disbelief. “You can’t do that. Let them know the truth. Those were demons, you saw the videos, you’ve seen their heads. What more do you need to believe me?” Delilah asked him.Mr Archibald, the bald man sitting in front of her was a government representative. He pushed his glasses farther up the bridge of his nose and sighed. “You are not getting the point here, Miss D’Ricci. It is not that I do not believe you, but we don’t want to cause panic amongst the citizens. Some of them might even decide to leave altogether. It’s a fifty fifty chance that this would go exceptionally terribly or exceptionally good.” Mr Archibald said. “As usual. This is just due to selfishness. Why else would you want to do something for anyone?” Delilah hit her hands in the table. “You have to und
Chapter Fifty Seven. “I am very worried about her.” Natalia said in a small voice as Piero went down the stairs with her in his hands. “What? You’re worried about Delilah? Did you see how scary our baby girl looked?” Piero asked with a small chuckle. “I’m very sure she can handle anything.”They made their way out and Piero helped Natalia jump over the fence, and then the priest. “Why are we using this place?” She asked. “It’s faster if you know the forest. Driving from there to our house would take well over an hour. I can get us out if this forest in less than ten minutes and have you home ten minutes later too.” Natalia nodded as Piero spoke. “Surely, you will come back to look for her?” Natalia asked her husband. “Yes, of course. How has your pregnancy been? I hope that they didn’t do anything to you.” Piero was frowning. “As if Delilah would ever let that happen. She had been doing everything for me before now.” Natalia sighed and ducked as a branch almost hit her f
Chapter Fifty Six.Delilah had eventually dropped Dennis after showing him the way. She had told him to come to the palace with priests. As many as he could when she told him to. “Everything is happening way too fast.” Delilah whispered to herself as she got ready for her lunch with Eriel. She got dressed up in her evening gown and decided to go just like that. “Baby, you look wonderful!” Eriel said and she grinned. His usual compliments aside, she had actually been looking very beautiful recently. It was almost as if she was changing. In front of her, Eriel was grinning like a boy who was about to get a soccer ball. She walked over to him and made sure to show some leg before setting herself down on him and grinding her waist like she had been doing it all her life. She was more in tone with herself and her sexuality, so as far as she was concerned her body knew exactly what she was doing. “What are you doing?” Eriel asked. “Shut up.” Delilah said and continued to move on h
Chapter Fifty Five. Delilah had started to become even more attracted to the twins and was seriously thinking about what Eriel had said. If what he had said was true, then she would choose to have the both of them, but only in her human form. She didn’t want to change or shift or anything. She walked into Eriel’s room and slammed the door shut. Eriel sat up immediately. He was wearing only shorts. Good. Delilah smirked like a cat who was going to get it. “Delilah?” Eriel asked. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Delilah strutted to him confidently and threw the covers off of him. “I’m very sure that we both know why, crown prince.” She stroked his chest and immediately, he joined his lips to hers, shivering as his mouth came in contact with Delilah’s. Delilah let her hands roam free around his neck, and the hard planes of his chest and back, and the beautiful contour of his face. She took off her shirt in haste and saw Eriel gulp. She didn’t need to ask, he liked what he
Chapter Fifty Four.Mrs Martins took her seat and looked out of the window. Her stomach was very big and round now. Then she turned back to look at Dennis and shook her head. The boy look stressed out, and she was aware of how close Dennis and Delilah were. "Yes, Mrs Martins?" Dennis called out to let the woman know that he was still there. "I didn't forget about you, love. Come here and take a seat." Mrs Martins said, gesturing to the chair on the other side of the table.Dennis obeyed and took his seat. He knew that he would be in trouble and have a good scolding, if not more for beating that boy up like that. But Dennis was not going to apologise, even if they threatened to expel him. He did the right thing for the sake of other girls that that lunatic might come across. What if she was being sold at this very point? He thought. Dennis had read stories of human traders— traffickers, organ harvesters and people who used humans as game. "Are you even listening to me?" Mrs Mart
Chapter Fifty Three.Delilah sat close to her window overlooking the side of the place where people— demon people were practicing for their dance, and if what she was seeing was what it was, then it looked more like they were preparing to walk their way in and seduce the blood out of people. "They would probably do that." Eriel said from behind her. "You can read my mind?" Delilah asked, her face starting to turn red.Eriel laughed and shook his head. "No, I don't. You said that out loud, but you didn't notice. It would be lovely to know what runs through your head, though." "Stop teasing me now." Delilah rolled her eyes and turned back to the window. She had gone to her house to see her dad and brothers. Instead she saw her aunt Demarr. Not that she was surprised, since her mom said that Demarr had come around. They had a chat for about ten minutes, and Delilah managed to stop Demarr from calling the police to inform them of her sudden reappearance. "Are you listening to m
Chapter Fifty Two.Piero did his best to look at everything, just in case his wife had dropped something on purpose or accidentally that would aid him in his search for her.The Find Location app was running in his phone, so Piero knew that he was moving in the right direction. Why did she go that way though? A cold shiver crossed his person as he thought of his dear Natalia being mauled by a wild animal and he shook it off. “No. She is just lost. It’s nothing more than that.” He assured himself.Piero held the sound of something snapping and he turned his head quickly to the direction of the sound. Something ran so quickly that it seemed blurry to him. Piero could have sworn that they were human, but that was too fast for even Usain Bolt. “My eyes should stop playing tricks on me. I need to find Natalia and Delilah.” Piero muttered and he delved in deeper. He knew Natalia to be someone who would not go to dangerous places if she could, and he wondered if she felt that Delilah w
Chapter Fifty One.Dennis looked at Piero from where he sat. They had been sitting there for about thirty minutes man, but it seemed like the man did not hear a word of what was being said.Violet was dead. Dennis did not know how sick the girl was to dress up and take pictures of herself to send everywhere. She sent to his two phones, to the group chats they shared and he had heard other people say that she sent the pictures to them too. They found her on the ground just in front of her house. Her neck was at an awkward angle and her eyes were open. The side of her head and the ground all around it was bloody. He had seen it when he was passing back, and at that moment her mother had come outside too, shrieking in horror.Even in death, Violet still wanted to be the centre of attention. And the thing was, Dennis did not feel remotely sorry that she had died. Sure, they used to know each other, but she was a terrible person and friend, and she had constantly annoyed him. He even fe
