Nathan:

“Nathan…”

“Don’t Kiara, just don’t” I said pacing around the chamber, my mind in rage at my mother, she had been here for less than a week and here I was planning on leaving.

I walked out to the veranda feeling like I was suffocating when I was inside the chamber, the walls closing in on me only to feel my mate’s hand on my back, her lips softly touching between my shoulder blades.

“Breathe Nathan, deep slow breaths” Kiara whispered softly, my wolf calming at the sound of her voice, I took a deep breath trying to calm myself for her sake, knowing that it was my anger talking right now, I knew that it was because I was used to being at peace on my own, the only tension that I had to deal with was the few hours I argued with father, therefor, this tension was something that I did NOT want to handle an especially not with mother, not when I was the one who fought to have her here by my side
