Third Person Point of View:
She roamed around the palace knowing that it was the only thing she could actually do.
Her father did not want to look at her, he made it very obvious, and she didn’t need to be sent to her chamber another time to understand it.
It had been that way since Prince Nathan’s second Beta had been caught, he’s been furious with her, he’d only allow her to be in the same room as he was if they were sharing a meal, or if her teachers were to inform him about the lesson she had taken and how her performance was. She was thankful to them though, she was not doing her best, she knew that, but after almost getting slapped in front of her astrology teacher, they were all telling the king that she was doing great, and they would even help her try and do her best.
“Princess Delilah, we need to go inside before the king sees us” her maid, Marie said in a low voice, the princess was not even allowed to roam t
Kiara:“Nathan, that is enough” I told my mate, it had been a month with Mason here, he’s been locked up in this house. Which now had blood on literally all its walls. Nathan had made sure to make him suffer, he made him cry for days, begging to end his life, but my mate wouldn’t allow it. He would heal him, he would let the pack doctors treat him, he’d force him to eat, then he’d repeat the process all over again.“Kiara, I told you do not interfere” Nathan said looking at me, I was stopping him from entering the house, the man had suffered enough, whatever he had committed, he was punished for it. I knew that Nathan was still determined in making him suffer, but I didn’t like this. This wasn’t my mate.“No, you are not going to enter that house Nathan, that is enough. Mason took his punishment, you have caused him enough pain, just stop” I said looking my mate in the eye. His eyes widened
Nathan:My chest ached as I thought of what my mate had said.Despite me assuring her that I was doing everything for her, I hated the fact that she didn’t see that. I knew that she was worried about me, I knew that she didn’t want my heart to darken. But she didn’t realize how much her words had hurt me.I walked toward the house where Mason was kept with a heavy heart, what I had been doing to him killed me more than it helped me. I couldn’t admit it to anyone, not even to my mate, but I was hurting. Being betrayed by my second beta, a man who I trusted, who I considered as one of my closest friends, it killed me.Walking inside the house, I looked at Mason who was sitting on the chair, his head sagged as he looked down at his lap, his body exhausted. I cleared my throat snapping him out of whatever daze he was in, he had been like that for a while, his body would jerk at the sound of my voice, or my scent. I knew that he was fri
Kiara:“Are you sure about this Kiara?” Ashton asked standing beside his little sister, she nodded to him and gave him an assuring smile. Her Ashton, Elijah, Nathan, Nina, and Grace were standing by the riverbank, waiting for King Deniz.“Would he even come?” Grace asked looking at the water.“Yes, he will, I have sent him word myself” Queen Alaura said from behind the princes and princesses, startling them. They turned around to face her, all of them bowing and she nodded smiling at them “I was aware of you planning on seeing him, I know that you want to speak to him, and he is coming for you”“Thank you, Queen Alaura” I said smiling, the queen nodded at me and looked Nathan, with a smile on her face.“You have grown child” Queen Alaura told my mate who wrapped an arm around my waist, he hadn’t grown, he had lost a glow in his eyes. I knew that it was because everything
Third Person Point of View:“What is the meaning of this?” King Alexander snapped, standing on his feet from the throne as he received the war letter from Prince Nathan “you idiot of a son, is challenging us, to war?”“What?” Queen Beatrice asked with wide eyes. They had not heard from the prince in months, after Mason had died, all possible spies have feared approaching seeing the body of the second beta as he left that house. Even when the king did try and put another spy, no one refused to be by his side. That only angered him with Delilah who was now locked in the tower despite her mother’s pleads. It turns out, the king did not keep his promise to the queen about trying to build a family. At least not toward the young princess, he kept his part toward the queen. Giving her a chance to prove herself, and loving her through it.“Nathan has lost his mind” the queen said taking the note from her husband and
Nathan:“Your grace, the king has agreed to get into war” my messenger said entering the forest, Kiara and I were both sitting by one another’s side. Her head laying on my shoulder as we watched the bonfire at night, our hands in one another’s, our fingers intertwined, the beautiful breeze hitting the two of us.“Have you seen Princess Delilah?” I asked, the messenger shook his head and looked down at his feet, I could hear the man’s heart race as he seemed to worry about speaking of something, a habit I noticed most of my servants had when wanting to tell me something that might anger me.“I have heard from your guard Blake, the princess has been locked for almost a month now, she hasn’t been let out of the tower, the queen isn’t even allowed to see her” the messenger answered. Kiara tensed and my eyes widened, Kiara pulled away from me and I stood up and walked toward the messenger who avoided m
Kiara:I rocked Lilian who was being restless, she had been crying for almost an hour now, and nothing I was doing seemed to calm her down.“Baby girl, come on, rest for me” I said softly, kissing her temple. Nathan was somewhere out of the forest, planning on how they would be getting Delilah back, I was intrigued about having her back I had to admit. But I knew one thing, I couldn’t allow her to be in the same place as that bastard excuse of a king, he would kill her in an instant, if not kill, then he would torture her making her wish that she was dead. And no matter what she had done to me, no person was supposed to feel the pain the king inflicted when he was angered, and I was not a cold-hearted person to want that on any person.“She still hasn’t calmed down?” Nina asked entering the room with a small bottle in her hand, I shook my head. I couldn’t even understand why she’s been crying. She has been fed, cha
Nathan:“Why does this keep happening Nathan?” Kiara asked crying, she was laying in my arms, we had buried Lilian a few days ago. Her heartbeat was weak and I could feel her pain. I was in as much as pain, we had lost our daughter. Her curly hair was wet after just taking a bath. Her body was stagnant as Diana scrubbed her body clean, softly scrubbing her body with soap and rinsing it, it was the time when I was able to cry. I knew that I had to stay strong for my mate, despite feeling her pain and her feeling mine, I couldn’t show it to her.“She’s a little bird in heaven baby girl” I whispered to her. Tightening my arms around her waist and pulling her to my chest. My own tears fell from my eyes but I was doing my best not to show Kiara how hurt I was. Though I knew that she could read my mind and was well aware of my pain and tears, I wanted to be her strength, the weakness she was in, the pain that we were both in, burying our l
Kiara:“I’m surprised that you two have come, even after the loss of your daughter” King Alexander mocked, Nathan had managed to find Delilah inside the vampire’s palace, however, it broke him to see her dead on the ground when he reached her. Her mother having been the one who had killed her, her canines dug deep in the young girl’s neck, and her heart pulled out of her chest. Queen Beatrice was by her husband’s side, her head held high as we all stood in front of one another, ready for battle.“King Alexander, I do recommend that you do not tempt me to break the rules and kill you here and now, before the battle even begins” Nathan said angrily, both of us were at loss and were still in a weak state after having lost Lilian, I couldn’t understand how Queen Beatrice was still managing to remain strong after losing both her mate and daughter, both of them killed by her doing or her order.“I do suggest
