Overjoyed, Seth held his wife and baby in his warm embrace, his family. He was taken aback by those times his aunt wanted to snatch this away from him, he was determined to protect them at all costs.

“Where is Dr. Sarah?” Seth asked calmly, breaking out from the embrace. He was back now and would resume his duties as the alpha of the pack immediately.

The moment he asked the question, Daisy saw the anger flicker through his icy blue eyes, it was a beauty to behold but the undertone spoke of danger and punishment.

“I…I don’t know” Daisy said carrying the baby back into the crib. She knew he was enraged by what Dr. Sarah did but she knew deep down that something else was at play here, it was unlike Dr. Sarah to be that irresponsible.

Seth was enraged by Dr. Sarah’s carelessness, she almost caused him to lose his child, what if Daisy’s pregnancy was complicated? What if something bad happened to her? Then Seth would never forgive her. She’s lucky that his wife is in good condition, and his baby too, he still needs to punish her, teach her a lesson and set an example for others that may try to cross him in the future.

“Rago… please take it easy,” Daisy said. She knew his wolf was angry and tried to calm him down. Her voice always soothed him when he was on the verge of losing it. The moment Rago takes full charge, it always ends disastrously.

Seth was taken aback when he heard Daisy’s voice, he loved it when she called him that but sadly, she only did it when he was angry. He wanted to calm down but immediately, he was reminded of the possible dangers of the singular act of carelessness that Dr. Sarah displayed.

“B-But you were scared… you were alone and I entrusted you to Dr. Sarah’s care and she broke my trust. W-What if I…I hadn’t made other preparations? W-What if Williams didn’t arrive on time? What if…” Seth said with low growls before Daisy placed her index finger over his lips that he spoke no more.

“Everything’s alright. I’m safe now, the baby is safe too” Daisy said softly as she held Seth’s face and watched Rago disappear with his angry fiery golden brown eyes. 

Seth is calm now but still needed to get to the root of things, he’s not as calm and forgiving as his dear wife. If someone wants to hurt her, he’d eliminate the threat. “I’ll be back” Seth said and kissed Daisy on her forehead.

Seth walked through the halls, in a calm and collected manner, he wanted to obey his wife and not go overboard like he feels he should. He runs into Oliver.

“You’re back! Welcome, Cuz” Oliver said, embracing Seth.

“Thanks, Oli,” Seth said, he prefers to call him by that since they were fond of each other and Oliver liked it too.

“Got any idea where Dr. Sarah is?” Seth asked.  Oliver knew what he was driving at and thought this to be the best time to tell him what plans Klara and Freya had against his child.

“I haven’t seen her in a while. But there’s something I’d like to share with you” Oliver said.

“What is it?” Seth asked, narrowing his gaze at Oliver.

“I overheard aunt Klara and Freya the other day at a corner, it appears that they are plotting to kill your child,” Oliver said and he explained the other details of their conversation. He kept quiet as he studied the expression on Seth’s face.

He was sorry that Seth hasn’t had the time to rest since he returned and he brings such disturbing news to him.

Seth was quiet for a while as he took in what Oliver just let out. His expression was a mix of anger and disbelief and the first question that escaped his lips was just what Oliver expected.

“How did Freya get into the house?”

“I’m just as shocked as you,” Oliver replied.

Seth didn’t need to ask Oliver a second time to verify the news, Oliver was trustworthy and always had his back since they were little boys. One time, while they were growing up, Seth broke his father’s watch in rage, he lost in battle while training. He got home and started throwing things as usual to pacify himself. Unfortunately, he threw his father’s favorite watch, when his father learned of this, Oliver took the blame and was punished instead of Seth. Since then, they had been very close.

“I’d get to the bottom of this” Seth said dismissively as he continued walking.

Oliver just admired his strong and bold physique as he walked past, he always looked up to him like an elder brother. He was sure he would fix this and would be more than willing to help him out.

Seth was earlier on his way to Dr. Sarah’s clinic but changed his direction to Klara’s room. “It appears I have more important issues to handle.” Seth thought to himself. He strode downstairs peacefully and calmly like the owner of a garden, looking at all his beautiful flowers and making sure that every one of them is in good condition. He did this most of the time and so no one thought it strange at all.

“Hello, Seth” everyone greeted as he walked past their room with his head held up high like a king and his hands crossed at his back.

“Hello” Seth would say briskly in return without even turning to see who it is, let alone smile back.

 Everyone knew him to be like that, he seemed to always be in a bad mood since he got married to Daisy. He did that because of how coldly they treated his wife and he wants to teach them that accepting him as their leader goes with accepting his mate as their Luna and giving her the same respect as they would to him. It was still a working progress.

Seth got to his aunt, Klara’s room and stood at the door for a while, a little lost in his thoughts before knocking on the door. As he knocked, he heard hastened footsteps and whispers spread across the room.
