“Hey, mom. Do you know any of grandma Diana’s friends or anyone that was involved in witchcraft too?” Peter asked casually, he did not want to raise his mom’s suspicion or give room for her endless questions.“Yes, I do. But why? I find it rather confusing that you have developed a sudden concern for your grandma Diana’s interests.” Peter’s mother said, raising a brow in suspicion.“Uhhh… yeah, I’m working on this article, you know how crazy it can be. I would just like to interview a few of them, that’s all.” Peter said with a nervous chuckle.“If it isn’t about your crazy science…” Peter’s mother said as she directed her focus back to the movie she was seeing on TV.“So where can I find them?” Peter asked her as he drew closer to where she sat, smiling sheepishly like he just got accepted by his long-time lover.“Well, last time I heard, there were at Boston.” Peter’s mother said.“Where grandma used to live?” Peter said.“Yes,” Peter’s mother said.“And I thought those people that
Peter finally arrived in Boston, it was not difficult to locate where the witches were, it was his grandmother’s house after all and he had visited a lot of times with his parents and a few times alone. Diana died a few years after Peter’s father.Peter got to the house, it was exactly how he remembered it; a simple bungalow in the center of the compound, directly opposite the gate, the first house he saw immediately after he walked in through the gate belonged to Diana. The rest were inhabited by her fellow witches, whom Peter thought to be his distant relatives.Sometimes, Peter referred to her as “Grandma Diana”, just very few times that he acknowledged her as his grand aunt. “Hello, Peter,” Wendy said with a wide grin on seeing Peter looking around the compound in a confused manner.“Aunt Wendy!” Peter said as he rushed to hug her. A woman, probably in her late 50s, she was a bit robust and wasn’t very tall. She also had brown hair with gray ones scattered in little populations.
First of all, West knew that he was wrong to link himself to Wendy and the other witches without their consent, he wanted to explain things but that was not the time.He wanted to pull out of the spell, because, why not? This is the same assignment that Roman asked him to do and now, he was aiding someone else, what if it was for Elijah? But, there was still a way around it, no matter what West did, Roman never considered returning his child to him, maybe he had already killed her, if that were the case, it would hurt West to find out but it would also help him let go of his endless longing for his daughter, he was not able to even hold her when she was born, it has been fifteen years already. If West helped them, Roman would never find out and even if he learns of Darin’s healing, he would not be able to trace it back to West even if he tasked him with it, a simple denial would do the trick. Perhaps it was time to stand up for his family, he decided to join them, not minding if the
“I’m going to Seattle,” Gabriel announced as he packed his bags. Gordon just sat there watching him. “Minx is in danger and I need to save her, I mean if I don’t, who will?” Gabriel said to himself. He expected Gordon to say something, encourage him to go after her or dissuade him his decision.“Are you not going to say anything?” Gabriel paused and asked Gordon.“Well… Your mind has been made up, nothing I say or do will make you change your mind or even make you stop to think about what you are about to do.” Gordon said as he belched loudly. He was a mess at the moment.“Then, support me. You know that you cannot stop me, then come with me. Each time I call Minx to check on her, it’s her aunt’s voice I hear and it makes me scared for what she must have done to Minx and my child.” Gabriel said.“Well, easy there. You may want to bring your voice down now unless you have decided to let everyone in on your little secret.” Gordon cautioned.“I’m sure you understand how I feel right now
Minx ran and ran until her legs could not carry her any longer, she also feared for her child’s wellbeing, running with such intensity would not do them much good as she did not have any food to eat. She rested against a giant oak tree, she was sure that she was far away from Gina and it would take Gina some time to find her.Minx was very hungry and tired but she was more concerned for her baby, with the little strength she had left, she trailed farther off into the woods to find fruits that she could eat.She was lucky to find a berry tree, she plucked some of it and ate, she kept eating lots and lots of them until she had her full. She went back to the oak tree to rest and soon fell asleep. After a while sleeping, she heard distant voices coming toward her direction, she wanted to wake up to see who it was but her eyes were too heavy but as the voices came closer, she jerked up as she recognized Gina’s.“She should not be far from here, the shuriken can sense her.” Gina said.“Wh
What do you mean?” Mrs. Jackson bolted.“The high priestess and her soldiers, they are going on their routine checks again. You know how much they have been bugging us because they think we have Minx. If they find her here, we would all be beheaded.” Mr. Jackson said.“Shit! I totally forgot that it is today.” Mrs Jackson said.“It was nice seeing you mom, and dad. I guess I will have to go now.” Minx said as she stood up to chant the spell.“No! I refuse to let you slip away again, let me handle this, okay.” Mrs. Jackson said as she proceeded to close up all the windows and doors in the house. Minx’s father just stood, looking at his wife. She probably was not thinking, he thought to himself.“You know, closing all the windows would do us no good, they would just use magic to fish her out. If you want to keep her, you need a better plan.” Mr. Jackson said.“Let me finish, Harold.” Mrs. Jackson said. Minx had never heard her mother call her father by his name before, it was always al
Uncle Oliver, it was a mistake. We did not mean for it to happen, turns out she just wanted to escape Regency and that’s why she had sex with me but the child was not part of the plan.” Gabriel explained. He was not proud of what he did but it had happened already so...“Hmmm…” Oliver cleared his throat before he began.“You thought you could keep it a secret forever? No, Gab, you are smarter than that. Nothing can be hidden under the sun forever. And now, I’m not trying to justify anybody’s actions but even if Gordon did not spill it like that, one way or the other, it would come out to the open.” Oliver said.“Gordon, that does not mean that you were right by doing that. You were the last person I expected that kind of recklessness from, you know how much of an issue that is and you just easily let it out if your mouth over some revenge game? I’m disappointed in you, Gordon. That’s very unlike you.” Oliver scolded.“I know I messed up and I’m sorry, okay. I got angry and could not h
“Well, I wanted to help. Roman does not deserve Darin or the time machine or anything at all. If he lays his hands on either of them, we would be done for.” West said.Wendy was still trying to grasp what he was talking about, it seemed deeper than he made it look. There was something that he was not saying and she was going to find out.“So why exactly did you call for this meeting?” Wendy said.“Uhm to find out who wanted Darin cured, I would like to warn him about how dangerous it would be if Roman finds out that he has Darin but there would be no need, Roman will not find out.” West said.“How are you so sure? I’d like to give my boy a heads up in case of anything, I can’t leave Roman’s actions to chance alone.” Wendy said.“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of this. And I’m sorry again for the linking, feel free to unlink me.” West said as he stood up to leave.“Wait. What did Roman do to deserve such betrayal from you?” Wendy asked. She thought it would provoke him enough to make him
