Cole was shocked when he came to visit Vince, without Vince approval in his home because he just sometimes loved riling up the other rulers just as much as they love making him angry but Vince restrained himself barely from attacking Cole at the breach. He was still arguing with Vince when the scent hit him.

“Mate.” He growled out unconsciously as his body tightened with tension. The only reason he did not go after the scent was because the scent was coming closer to him.

“And you are here? Apparently you have more restraint than what I thought of your race.” Vince said sarcastically but he had choose the right day to make a joke like that because Cole would not shift his attention away from the door, even to glare at Vince for his words.

“That is because she is coming this way.” Cole responded, his teeth had already partially shifted to that of his wolf.

Vince sniffed the air and only scent his mate and the succubus on their way. “Oh hell.” Vince whispered.

“What?” Cole growled.

“I wish you good luck.” Vince stated just as the door opened and his wife entered with Myra. He saw the moment Myra realized who her mate was.

Her face tightened as worry entered her eyes and still that did not stop her from exclaiming loudly. “You have got to be kidding me!”

Cole body went even tighter in tension. “Not a joke there little mate.”

“I am not your mate, I cannot be the mate of a Were.” Myra exclaimed riled up and when her iris started changing colors which shows that she was just as affected to Cole as he was to her when she started pacing and ranting. “Of all good loving supernaturals that exists, why couldn’t I be paired with someone who was less out there and so obvious, certainly something else is involved here because there is no way which I can see that the two of us making it…” Cole growled at her statement but she ignored him and continued pacing and ranting.

“I give it a minute before Cole do something about her.” Vince whispered to his mate. She was just about to tell him something when Cole shrugged out of his temporal immobile state and stalked to where Myra was pacing but she was not aware of him moving closer to her until he was beside her.

And just to show how crazy the Ubbis heir was, when she stopped pacing because of Cole presence, she did not shift back or did anything to show submission in the presence of an Alpha. Instead, she scowled as she looked up at Cole, staring at him in the eyes, a definite sign of challenged and growled at him.

“What the hell do you want?”

“This.” Cole replied as he grabbed her chin, and tilt her head to the side. Her eyes widened with realization of what was about to happen, just a second before it did. He bit her and at once she climaxed.

“And that is our cue.” Vince said as he wrapped his arms around his pregnant mate and disappeared.

Cole raised his head from the bite to see the full swirls of her eyes when she stopped jerking from the climax while he lapped at the blood that came from his bite.

“Still thinking we would not work?” Cole asked his mate, the one he had marked without even knowing her name.

Without warning, the air was filled with a drugging sensation that wrapped him up and he partially shifted like it was out of his control. And before he could come to a realization of what was happening, Myra had already climbed him and was clinging to his neck when she bit him too. It was his turn to growl loudly and though he did not climaxed, he saw stars.

Nothing was going to prevent what was going to happen next, nothing at all.

Stupid, that was how Myra was feeling. And why was she feeling that way, her mate was lying on the bed with one of his arms covering his face while the other reaching out to her. She knew that he would wake up soon if he doesn’t feel her and she could not be concerned with it.

What was she thinking when she started challenging the Were King with her words. That led to her bite and every action that happened after that was as a result of her running her mouth and that was how she landed with a mate. An eternal buffet that was hers forever. And she, his chew toy when truths of her race eventually comes out. It might not be in the next 50 or even 100 years but it will certainly come out.

Tears gather in her eyes even as she put on his shirt. She was leaving to bring a blanket for him but she did not want to part fully from him and that was why she placed her shirt close to his head, so he would not wake up without her scent. That was one sure way of having him destroy Vincent home if he did not smell her anywhere close by.

She needed to escape his presence that was what she did when she teleported outside the room.

“Hello?” she said softly and within seconds, Vincent was by her side.

Myra looked at Vincent who looked like he was going to congratulate her until he saw her face.

“I am guessing that congratulations is out right?” Vince asked and Myra glared at him.

“Perfect time for the relic to grow a humor.” Myra snaps at Vincent who shrugged.

“See it as new form of treatment that rolls to you from your mate.”

Myra wrapped her arms around herself. “Can I get something solid to eat please?” she could not help the vulnerability in her tone.

“Of course.” Vince replied as he walked into the kitchen where Gwenn and Jessica was. Myra took a seat opposite them and Vince went around, preparing something for her.

“When he placed a bowl of cereal and a carton of milkin front of her, she looked at him confused.

“We are vampires, you are in luck that it is not expired and somehow I think you would prefer that to what we consider as delicacies.” Vincent answered and Myra nodded before she poured the milk into the bowl, allowed it to soak a little then took a bite.

“Great, now I am eating comfort food.” Myra said as tears rolled down her chin.

“He did not hurt you, did he?” Gwen asked but Jessica and Vincent laughed. “What’s wrong with my question?” Gwen looked from her mate to his sister face.

“I think you should be asking opposite dearest. She is awake and he is still sleeping.” Vincent explained.

When Gwen still looked confused, Myra cheeks went red and she cuts in before Jessica or Vincent would go into deeper details to explain things to her. “No he did not. I just was not expecting a Were as my mate. What would my mother say?”

“She would be glad that you found your mate…” Vince said. “Like any other normal parent would be.”

“Maybe but what about me, I would never be fully accepted by his people…” Myra confessed.

“And she has issues.” Jessica shook her head. “You don’t have to worry about acceptance. Make them fear you and you are accepted. Weres are easy.”

“Besides it’s funny how you think my people would be able to dislike you and get away with it. That would be undermining my authority.” Cole added conversationally.

Myra squeaked as she turned to see Cole resting by the door, in his jeans only and looking at her as if he was the sex feeder not her.

“What are you doing here?” Myra asked, her tone all confrontational. “Err, looking for you.” Cole replied like it was the dumbest question ever which Myra should know because mates are rarely separated during the first few weeks since their mating and it applied to all races. “Shouldn’t you be still sleeping?” Myra asked, swallowing air loudly when Cole walked to her, the same way he did when she was ranting. Like he was on a hunt and she was his prey. “You only wore me out because that’s my first time, don’t count on it again.” He growled leaning into her space while Myra seemed to watch him transfixed. “I would have never suspected that The Were king was a virgin.” Vince whispered loudly just to rib Cole who stared at his vampire counterpart out of the corner of his eyes. “First time with a Succubus, don’t act like my words mean anything else besides why are you having some inane pleasure from this, what are you? Twelve?” Cole asked Vince who shrugged. “It is annoying you so I

Cole walked into the study where the vampire councils, also known as the primordials of the vampire race all stood in while Vince made a call. “I understand that it is the practice of your people but surely you can revise. She is the mate of the Were king.”“That is good Sir.” A male voice replied. “She would still be queen, just not of the race she was trained to rule.” “But being banished, that is too far. I was not aware of this.” Vince grated. “Each race has their customs and this is one of our most upheld ones, it is not yours to be aware of so please I suggest that you leave this issue alone, Myra would understand.” The voice replied. “This is ridiculous Lord Stan, why am I speaking you. I demand to be on call with the queen.” Vince gave a growl that would make any shifter appreciative of the finesse used. “The queen is indisposed as of the moment but I will tell her you call so she can give you a call when she can.” Lord Stan answered and then ended the call. “He just end

If there was one thing that Myra hates, it was when someone was trying to intimidate her, she was used to power plays and had enough diplomacy training behind her to know that this woman was the one in wrong already. “A guest for now, you?” Myra asked, shifting back, unwilling to start a fight without her knowing the person and she was uncomfortable with someone being in her space, of course the only person she allow that was Cole and it was purely because he was her mate.“A high ranking member of this pack, soon to be future Luna. Now I know for a fact that you are not one of us and might just be a follower of power since it was all it took for you to open your legs…” The woman started ranting. “Are you sure you want to say those words to me, they seem like fighting words and I will not be held responsible for my reactions to them.” I warned because I was always fair in trashing my opponents and she deserved the warning because she was getting close to my retaliate-no-matter-what

Myra looked around the room as Cole talked about how she should be respected since she was his mate and she took all the expressions in. These wolves were not happy with the fact that she was the mate of their king. Just as she suspected, she was not going to be welcomed any time soon but then again, she did not have a choice because she had no other place to go. “My king, pardon me for asking but are you sure?” One of the men asked and Cole was not the only one who looked at the man like he was drunk. “No, think about it.” The man defended himself. “She is a Succubus, how are we certain that she did not place him under a spell.” Cole pinned the man with his gaze and before he could deal with the man for suggesting something so baseless. Myra held his arm. “I don’t need to tell you that Succubus don’t do spells. But we can place someone in a thralldom, seeing how dangerous it is, I have never practiced that part of me but I can if you volunteer.” Myra suggested and just as she knew

Cole signed as he was brought a dispute between two pride packs, a dispute that he had managed to put off for years, telling the packs that it was the job of their queen to settle something that complicated and that since he was without one, they would have to wait until he had his mate and now he did but Brett was still bringing the case to him. “I thought I have a Queen to settle this now?” Cole said, looking from Brett to the two prides standing in front of him. “It was his idea to bring it to you once more.” One of them explained, pointing at his second. Cole turned to look at his second with raised brow and his second mind linked him instead. *trust me when I say that it is better you handle this yourself than to leave the issue in the hands of your bloodthirsty mate. These two would leave this place happy only to go back to their lands and prepare for war between themselves because she gave them the go ahead.**She surely cannot be that bad.* Cole rolled his eyes at Brett.

The number of people coming to wish Cole a happy mated life, reduced to a fickle within weeks as majority of the well wishes came through mail, that was something which he could count on Myra to organize because she was more pleasant when writing and dealing with issues than when she was physically dealing with issues. And that was when Vince called Cole. “What wrong?” Cole asked when he picked up. “Nothing but I am teleporting to your office. Wanted to give you the heads up.” Vince replied. “Hell…” Cole started to protest but the call ended and within seconds, Vince was standing in front of him. “No. Why would you do that, I could be with Myra here for all you knew and you know that I don’t like it when you teleport into my pack.” Cole growled at Vince who raised an eyebrow at him. “You sound like you are not the one who ‘traipse’ all over my settlements and into my home unannounced, did you forget that was how your met your mate two months ago?” Vince raised an eyebrow. “You c

He should have added that part of the testiness he was going to be feeling would be coming from his mate. She was worried and fretting with everything and everybody in his pack stood watching her and she straightened and straightened again an ornament before she moved to another minor detail that Cole did not even knew he had. “I thought she had an amazing relationship with her mother?” Drew asked Cole, Cole had been staying away from his third and rarely involved him in things which he does not have to. The most being his mate, while Brett was aware of the full story between his mate and her mother, Drew came up with his conclusions based on general knowledge and assume that it was true and Cole didn’t do anything to correct his conclusions and now, since the question was direct, he had to provide an answer to satisfy Drew, the very last thing he wanted to do.“She does but it is complicated.” Cole responded, just because he had to supply an answer doesn’t mean he would do it as soo

“Wait, what do you mean by a race crystal is missing, who would have taken it?” Myra asked and Cole just shook his head. “Not now Myra.” He said tiredly, looking weary suddenly. Myra knew it was serious since he called her name not his pet version of it. “I need to call Carson and Vince and inform them, the next few hours would be busy, and can you go and get some sleep?” He asked Myra who shook her head. “I want to be by your side.” She protested and Cole shrugged as he moved to his office with Brett and Myra following him, Brett giving him more details about what happened. On getting to the office, Cole opened his laptop and looked at the security footage only to see that the camera was covered for some seconds, when the cover was removed. The crystal was missing. Cole sighed as he reached for his phone. He called Carson first, wanting the difficult one out of the way. “Do you have any idea what the time is?” Carson snaps. “Evening.” Cole replied, both as an answer to his ques

Myra knew that with her telling Cole the news, his over protective instinct was going to be in overdrive and there was nothing which she could do about that but she didn’t expect him to try and imprison her. “Be serious Cole.” I will not allow you to keep me in the room while I will relate what happened with the angels to the others through a voice call. Be serious.” “I am completely serious. It is not like they need to see your presence, they would completely understand why I am keeping you to myself and it would be good practice for them since they will to see you in a while…” Cole answered. “Now, you are just insane if you think I will remain in this room, during the term of this pregnancy.” Myra rolled her eyes at Cole. “Not, this room. I will make the wing out of boundary and you can move around.” Cole replied seriously. Myra sighed, she was getting tired of this from Cole. “You are going to have to cut back on this instincts of yours because there is no way I would let you

It was all wrong. The timing and everything. Cole woke up to see that his castle was under attack. Something which he was not prepared for. They were overwhelmed before they could even send for help. And the help was not coming in time the rogue wolves who had ran away formed majority of the army with a few other races involved but they were all focusing their attention on a settlement with less than a hundred persons in it. They were losing and very badly too. “We have to leave in the next five minutes or we are all dead.” Brett said to Cole through the pack link, they were fighting and lost at different location, killing and maiming the ones which they could get their hands on. “Okay, then I will call for a retreat soon.” Cole called back at Brett but his heart was heavy, there was no way in which he wanted to call for a retreat all by himself, he didn’t want that option but he had no choice, the shifter world would be greatly demoralized if they retreated and could not defend th

Myra noticed the portal after she landed on Moe. How could she not? When it was the only thing that was giving off light in the place. Something which after a quick look around, proved to be an underground cave. The portal was pulsing with its aqua blue light, the rhythm close to that of a heartbeat. “I know that you are stunned but can you please no0t be stunned while you are on top of me. Your weight is much you know.” Moe groaned from other Myra and Myra quickly stood up from where she was crushing Moe to the ground and helped her to stand while apologizing. “So sorry Moe.” “It’s okay, you were stunned which is understandable but I will pay you back for it in the future no worries.” Moe replied with a smile before she noticed the light and her smile wiped off. “What is that?” She asked, adoration was present in her voice as she moved closer to it as if it was captivating her. When Moe passed Myra as if she wanted to continue towards the light, Myra grabbed a hold of Moe and th

Courtney appeared late that day in the Vince castle once more, hoping to see if she could talk to Vince first about what was going on before she could face the mates of the two women who she left behind. She didn’t know what was going on between Caleb and Moe but at least Caleb was willing to say that he felt a connection between them but nothing more. Her luck ran out because when she appeared, Cole and Carson alongside with Vince were the ones who were in the study this time around. That was the only place in Vince home where he allowed other vampires to be teleporting to. “Courtney?” Carson said as they all turned to look at her. They were all surprised to see her like Gwen and the rest didn’t mention anything about her visiting at first. And now she just had to ruin it. “You are back?” Cole asked smiling then he paused as he frowned. “Why can’t I still feel Myra as much as I normally can? Is she waiting for me at our home?” Courtney cringed as she rubbed the back of her head

Yes she is older than us and basically hates me because I am a succubus, she should get over herself already.” Myra responded with an angry growl as she stood up and started to pace around. “Would you stop getting yourself worked up, what did I tell you about this?” Moe snapped at Myra who frowned. “Fine, I will, let’s go and meet her royal majesty.” Myra rolled her eyes but Moe sighed. “Courtney went back home Myra.” Moe said and when Myra was silent, she hurriedly added. “News was circulating round that the three councils have declared war on an enemy which they don’t see and it was what sent her back home.” Moe explained and then the fury which she was expecting from Myra

Myra could barely stand Courtney anymore, she had had it up to her throat. And that was because she didn’t want to disgrace either the ubis or shifter race but Courtney had no qualms about disgracing the vampires races. From backhanded comments to her actions where she acted like she was above Myra and Moe. Myra was tempted to remind her that Moe was in the same level as her while she was a queen and so Courtney was supposed to be beneath her. Moe was the one helping her to keep her anger under a lid but Courtney last statement made Myra angry, so angry that the cup tipped over. “If you have something to say about me why don’t you say it to my face?” Myra said as she advanced towards Courtney, Moe tried to hold Myra but she shrugged off Moe’s hold getting closer to Courtney who didn’t bat an eyelash. “And if I do say it to your face, what are you going to do about it? He was hoping that they would remember how the last meeting with his mate who was present, how it went like before they opened their mouths to annoy him. Then again, that a hope too much for these sets of individuals because from the moment he arrived they crowded him, demanding answers to questions about a situation which they were more aware of than him and they refused to allow him check on the damaged which was wroth to his own settlement and how many of his pack he had lost. “I need to check on my people.” Cole voice, trying to keep his voice steady and empty from any of the anger which he was feeling at the whole situation. “No, you need to tell us what is going on. He had cuts and scrapes all over his face and arms.
