The reason he did not do so was that he felt he was close to a breakthrough, so there was no need to waste a perfectly good pearl. He felt it was best to build up his foundation and to go with the flow.

“Brother, all the disciples are here. Shall we begin?” Dewey asked with a gesture towards the disciples as a way to divert the attention of everyone away from Zephyr.
