The Warrior’s Bride.
Alexander’s fever continued since he had been moved to the cabin for three days, he was not getting any better. It was like his situation was getting worst as hours passed. The sight where the poisoned arrow pierced him began to release green pus, which showed he had an infection. There was nothing the healer could do. His body had to fight off the infection on its own. Everyday she would clean the sight of his wound and she always had to wipe him down with cool water. He was always coming in and out of consciousness and covered in sweat.
Fareeda had not checked up in her father since the battle. She wondered if he had been injured too, or worse killed. She decided she would need to check up on him today. After she finished wiping him down for the fourth time that morning, she decided she was going to see her
The Warrior’s Bride “I don’t think you should start training right way, Alexander.” Fareeda said, looking at his back. He was cleaning the dishes they just had lunch with. He really stopped her from raising a finger around the house. It had been three days since Alexander got to his feet and Fareeda didn’t like how he was taking things. He had just recovered from an infection that almost took his life. She placed a frown on her face when he turned to look at her. “I am good and ready to start training again. My men need me. I cannot stay at home, pretending to be sick when I’m not.” Alexander said, trying to reason with her. He sighed before he dried his hands and walked to her. “Do not worry yourself ab
The Warrior’s Bride.A yawn escaped Fareeda’s lips as she woke up the next morning. She rolled over in the bed only to find Alexander’s side of the bed empty. It was also cool to touch so she knew he had gotten up a good while ago. He didn’t even wake her from her sleep to tell her goodbye. Shock filled her as she felt the moisture gather in her eyes. She dabbed her eyes wondering why she would be tearing up at something like that. She got out of bed and walked into the washroom to do her business. She decided to take her bath and wash her hair too, when she noticed the temperature had risen. A smile reached her lips when she saw how much water Alexander had fetched down. Once she finished, she donned her dress and tied her hair in a drying cloth.
The Warrior’s Bride It was no shock to Fareeda that a carriage was sent to bring them to the palace. Fareeda knew her father-in-law would have been the one to think of this and she knew it irked Alexander, because he didn’t have a smile on his face when the guard came to open the door for them. “Smile, my love.” Fareeda said, gently caressing his cheek as they sat in the moving carriage. “What is there to smile about? My father does this knowing I don’t like it.” Alexander said, looking into her eyes. She could see the frustration there. “Well, you are royalty and nothing can change that. This is the treatment you will get.” Fareeda sa
The Warrior’s Bride “My love, seeing you on the bed like that makes me want to stay home,” Alexander said as he got ready to go training. It was odd for Fareeda to be awake at this time, but nonetheless she lay on the bed, using her elbows to prop herself. The sheets only managed to cover her chest, as her right leg was completely naked for his eyes only. Fareeda giggled, good heartedly. She was not going to beckon him to stay. He had stayed for a week more and she knew he needed to be on the field with the other men. “Go. I’ll be here when you return,” she said smiling at him. “Now, remember what I said. I don’t want you lifting a finger in this cabin.” Alexander said, getting on the bed and leaning ove
The Warrior’s Bride. Fareeda woke up with a start. She blinked her eyes as her vision began to clear. She stared at the ceiling for a brief moment, admiring the artwork above her head. The ceiling was also very high for it to be her cabin. Her heart skipped a beat. Where was she? She immediately sat up, looking around. Has she been kidnapped? “Oh Allah!” Fareeda said out loud to herself. She could remember being in Alexander’s arms. “My dear..” Anna said, coming into the room. She walked in with the healer and Fatima in tow. “Mother..” Fareeda said, she was about to get off the bed.
The Warrior’s Bride It had been a week since Fareeda and Alexander began staying in the palace. Fareeda was shocked at the change. Everyone was always offering to do something for her. Once a young lady even asked if she could help her bathe and dress. Fareeda was shocked at that and she rejected the offer. Her mother in law, Queen Anna, was still showing how things work around in the palace and she was keeping her company. It was nice to be with a lot of people. Still, she had not spoken to Queen Habiba at all. It was like the woman never came out of her room and she didn’t even bother checking up on Fareeda. Fareeda was not too bothered about it though. Just then, Fareeda saw Abdul talking to one of the guards as she walked leisurely around the garden. She beckoned him with her hand and he came to her smiling. The palace was so

She wanted to see what the girl was capable of. “What is your name?” Queen Habiba asked the young girl. “Samirah,” Samirah replied, looking into the Queen’s eyes. Her eyes held no emotion as she eyed Samirah. This woman looked very beautiful. She was dressed in the most expensive material from what Samirah could see, but what else would she expect from a Queen of her status. “You are very lucky to be my handmaiden. If you are good enough, you will enjoy a lot of luxuries. Are you ready fo
The Warrior’s Bride Fareeda opened her eyes as a moan left her lips. She was alone in a small room that were smelled very unfamiliar. She felt her stomach turn before she heaved into a bowl beside the makeshift bed she was on. “She has woken, your highness,” An unknown emasculine voice said from outside the room. Immediately, someone entered and paused in their tracks staring at her. Fareeda held onto her belly unknowingly as a she looked at this man. He looked young and of high status with the clothes he was donned. “I don’t belong here,” Fareeda said after the long silence. &nb
The Warrior’s Bride Last Chapter. It was exactly seven days after the birth of Farrah. The Assan tribe was in great joy as they prepared for the feast of her birth and naming. Fareeda stood beside Alexander as they watched her father, Bakir, King Aladdin and Queen Anna gushed at Farrah who was sleeping peacefully. “She already has them wrapped around her little fingers. Your father especially he would do anything she demands,” Fareeda murmured to him. “Yes, she does. How could not she?” Alexander said thinking about how she also had him too. “It has only been a week yet I miss your touch,” Fareeda whispered to him now.
Alexander saw the look of discomfort make it’s way to Fareeda’s face again as he helped her into the carriage. He was beginning to get worried. “My love, are you sure you don’t want to rest today? I can sense your discomfort and I do not want anything happening to you,” Alexander said to her. “No Alexander I am fine. Thank you for caring for me. I love you,” she said sweetly caressing his face. “Let me make sure everyone else is prepared,” he said kissing her hand before he left. Fareeda took a deep breath tightening her arm around her swollen belly. She had only gotten little sleep throughout the night as the pain continued frequently. She shrugged it off as nothing though.
The Warrior’s Bride “My love I am fine now. I have gained my strength. I have stayed in the room ever since we returned. I need to go outside,” Fareeda murmured to Alexander hugging him from behind. He had just come out from the washroom after bathing himself. He just returned from the Abdul-azeez tribe. The Assan and Abdul-azeez tribe were now friendly neighbors. They were helping rebuild and some of the men now trained with them. Fareeda stared at his bare chest when he turned to face her before she looked into his eyes. A frown made its way to her face even before he spoke. “My love, it is better you rest for the child’s sake. Last week’s events were too hectic for the child. The healer and Queen Mariam said you should get all the rest you need as you will be birt
The Warrior's Bride“King Aladdin did not go against the treaty. I assure you. He is as surprised as you were,” Fareeda said looking at the Prince Abu. Just then, a maiden brought in a meal for her and she could not control the growl from her belly. She was really hungry. She didn’t know if it was safe for her to eat here. “Enjoy your meal,” Prince Abu said about to leave when she grabbed his hand. “I’m sorry but please listen to me,” Fareeda started releasing his hand immediately. “I swear on my life, Wallah, the King is not responsible. Please let’s stop the bloodshed. A lot of lives have already been lost,”Fareeda said with tears in her ey
