The matters are never resolved, in a matter of fact, Rina’s father disappeared from the detective’s trace as if he never existed. That movement itself made the detective wonder whether that sketchy man had something to do with the misfortunes that they experienced so far.
The detective already investigated that her father succumbed to alcoholism due to depression. This leading to Rina’s contracted marriage with Eka who accepted, since the father no longer wants to think about heavy things that weighed his mind.
