It Souldn't Be Like This

She seemed fine a second ago. She still smiled beautifully as she jokes around with her maid, though I occasionally found her face looks nervous but, the glint in her eyes made me assume that everything was going well.

Suddenly, her body collapsed. I didn't feel any energy from inside her. No matter how much I shook her, her eyes remained closed. I felt scared all over again. 'It shouldn't be like this! This is all my fault. I shouldn't have let her play outside the palace!'

But how can I stop her when she looks at me with the expectant look and her spoiled voice which I want to hear badly. At that moment, I want to make her happy even with small things. I want her to lean on me about everything. And I was too confident that as long as she was with me, nothing would hurt her.

Merri, her maid, had called a carriage. Her face was deathly pale as she watched her lady collapsed in my arms. I totally understand Merri's fear.

The public carriage started to move
