As I was nervously averting my gaze from his, my eyes were drawn to his hands that caressed my belly.

It was hard to understand why I was still hesitating about revealing my plans to Dylan after all this time when we promised to run away together. At first, I kept my plans a secret because I still suspected Hayden's influence on Dylan. I was afraid that Dylan would unknowingly be influenced by Hayden and then spill my plans to him.

But after I watched Dylan for a long time, he seemed to be more stubborn about his stand, and freer from Hayden's clutch. I think my doubts stem from Dylan's attitude that he doesn't immediately find a solution to untie Hayden's influence with his ring.
