The quiet and cold night. The tinkling of the clock met the chimes of the artificial woodpecker hitting the bell three times in the corridor outside his room, ringing in his ears. Hayden awoke from sleep, forcing himself to wake up though his eyes didn't want to compromise. Of course, sleeping will be more comfortable.

But not if the sleep is what will lead him to hell.

He sat on his bed for a moment, hoping the throbbing pain in his head would quickly disappear. Since that fateful night, his health has not been going well. But this condition is still a secret. Only a few people in the residence knew, such as Luke, Raymon, Sarah, and Laura.

He didn't want the hungry rats around him to know his current state. Not because he didn't have the strength to fight if they were to bite him, but because he didn't have the heart to give hope to those who thought they could defeat him who were weak.
