Falling dragon

"Drifta!"

I hissed her name through my teeth, never taking my eyes on the massive beast now stalking towards us. From the moment I saw him over my shoulder, I started running zigzag through the threes, and the moment I thought I managed to create some space between us, he jumped out right in front of me. Drifta stirred, and I could feel how anxious she was, but that didn't help me because she still refused to shift or even answer me.

Crawling backward through the mossy ground, I kept my eyes on the wolf. He is genuinely massive; not even the alpha wolves came close to him. Snarling, he stalked closer, blood still dripping down his snow-white fur. Canines bared; his jaw snapped shut, making his low growling resemble an angry cat's sound. The beast kept making small jumps in my direction in between the stalking, with his head held low, jumping forward, lowering his front paws like he was edging me to either run or play. Confused, I kept my eyes on his eyes, black and soulless, like end
