Maya`s POV. The salty wind had picked up and whipped against my cheeks. But I loved it. It made me feel so free and light. I cast a glance over at Arcane, bickering with one of Tew`s older guards. Despite the insulting name-calling here and there, their smile was never far away. My eyes glided back towards the open ocean and took in the descending sun, bathing its warm sun rays in the cold water. It`s been a couple of days since I saw him shift since I saw his massive beast. We talked some more after, of course, because his shifting didn't tell me what he clearly expected. Yes, I saw he was a bear, not a wolf like the others I`ve seen so far, but I didn't see what made him so different. I`ve heard there are werebears, cats, and even Lion shifters on this planet, so I thought his animal would be pretty standard. It didn't really matter, I learned something new, and I`ve almost forgiven both him and his teddy for knocking me over and for pushing his snout so far up between my legs
Out of breath, flustered, and still a bit shocked, I tried to calm my raging heart down.He has never been so rough and direct. Don’t get me wrong, I think I loved this side of him, but I didn’t understand the sudden change, and on top of it all, he claims I am the one who has changed. His warm body is still flush against my back, his hammering heart matching mine on my back. A light tickling sensation over my collarbone snapped me out of my hazed sex fog, and I smacked it out of reflex, expecting a mosquito or something. Instead, something splattered between my fingers drops splashed against my cheek; taken aback, I lifted my hand up and looked at it. My eyes widened, and my hand frantically returned to my shoulder and sticky skin. Blood. The sound that left my throat was new for me, a strange mixture of fear, shock, and utter disbelief mixed in with the surprised gasp. I began to wiggle my shoulders, trying to get Arcane off my back, still staring at my bloody fingers. My pulse did
* Smack! * The back of my hand slammed into his chest, and I rolled my eyes at his dramatic performance. He was gasping for air and pretending to be hurt. “Stop that!” “I can’t help it!” “Yes, you can! Growling at every creature with a dick is getting tiring!” He scoffed, “ I’m not! Just the ones that st..” I cut him off because I’ve heard this sentence repeatedly in the last couple of days. “No, it’s not just the ones staring! Stop kidding yourself. That poor guy didn’t even have time to turn around before you acted like a rabid dog! And NO, it’s not sweet, cool, or anything like it at all. If you can’t stop, I need to get you a tight collar or a spray bottle... Maybe even call Cesar Milan.” Muttering the last part, knowing he had no idea who that was, and even then, a loud growl cut the air between us. “Cesar? Who is he? A human? Should I expect to fight him for your attention?" I sighed and walked away; after a few seconds, he hurried up behind me and continued to press
Tears, gasping for air, and stuttering the words out, almost yelling every single word because each time I was afraid, my voice would fail me, or my voice would break. Images that were taken straight out of a destructive alien movie from the 80s played in my head, and it was now involving a giant hairy baby with massive claws and canines and my limp, bloody body. "My silly little human, none of that will happen. I am sorry, sweet plum." He sat on the floor with me, cradling me on his lap while stroking my hair repeatedly. "It’s just a little baby. No claws, canines, or fur in places you don’t want them. Your body is perfect for me and my cubs. So, breathe, it will be fine. You are safe; I will always make sure you are—both of you. There is nothing to worry about; it is just positive. If you think of it, you will get to meet the little cub sooner. Instead of 9 months, you only need to wait five months." I could hear, through my snotty, sobbing cloud, that he tried to make the mood l
Eir´s POV. “Oh, please.” Lydia managed to add her eye rolling perfectly into the tone of her voice before continuing, “We all know you know nothing about this world! You have no idea how to survive here alone! When your flying lizard crush leaves you here, you are all alone and without any remarkable skills to give you any advantage at all. So, stop acting like I am the freaking lousy guy! “ She screeched, still defending herself and trying to put the blame on me after a long, heated yelling session that had finally calmed down. Her cheeks had red-stained spots, like the warm spots spreading on mine, as the temperature between us had been blazing for a couple of minutes. Just looking at her made my anger reach a boiling point in my chest, my hands clenched so hard that my nails dug into my palms. Lydia had the freaking nerve to look as angry and wronged as me. “Ladies, ladies... Little Fly-fly, Little wolfy. Let us take a break and cool down.” “A break?!” I didn’t even try to ho
All hell broke loose like a bomb of chaos went off in the middle of the village. I wanted to shout, to call out for help, and the only one in my mind was Seb: Amon, my dragon king. But no matter how much I tried, it all felt like a bad dream; all my efforts turned out to be a hoarse sound or harsh breath. All efforts and all cries died in my throat, only leaving a deep whisper as a dying animal’s last shout for help. All energy had left me, and I could barely lift my hand when Jacob picked me up, slapping my lame attempt to scratch his face away. Even if I knew it was fruitless, I then used all my energy to lift my other hand. With an irritated hiss, he grabbed it and forced it down before he slapped my cheek. My head was thrown to the side, and my vision blinked as a burning sensation spread on my face. Before I could realize he actually slapped me, strong fingers grabbed my chin and forced my head around. Holding so tight, he pushed my mouth together and held me up in his face. “Ez
"Drifta!" I hissed her name through my teeth, never taking my eyes on the massive beast now stalking towards us. From the moment I saw him over my shoulder, I started running zigzag through the threes, and the moment I thought I managed to create some space between us, he jumped out right in front of me. Drifta stirred, and I could feel how anxious she was, but that didn't help me because she still refused to shift or even answer me. Crawling backward through the mossy ground, I kept my eyes on the wolf. He is genuinely massive; not even the alpha wolves came close to him. Snarling, he stalked closer, blood still dripping down his snow-white fur. Canines bared; his jaw snapped shut, making his low growling resemble an angry cat's sound. The beast kept making small jumps in my direction in between the stalking, with his head held low, jumping forward, lowering his front paws like he was edging me to either run or play. Confused, I kept my eyes on his eyes, black and soulless, like end
We crashed on the ground, yes; we! The blinding light had faded, or my eyes had grown used to it. That is when I saw it was not a flashing light, no strange creature, it was a human. However, I didn’t have enough time to see who it was. My back crashed on the green grass; nothing was soft about that collision, and before I could even catch my breath, my saving angel of light swished away, leaving me alone, baffled, scared, and disoriented. “Drifta! What is your problem?” I knew my anger was misplaced, that everything just boiled up right now, but now it was all directed at Drifta. My wolf, the creature that was supposed to be my other half, the missing part of my soul and all that. Despite all this, she couldn’t even help! “You don’t even try!” I shouted to nobody because I found myself at least a couple of kilometers away from the burning chaos down in the village. I couldn’t see Amon, and my heart threatened to hammer through my chest as I scanned the ground, loudly cussing up D
