Bullet's gaze was unyielding as she faced the Russo brothers with a stare down.

The backdoor of the car she alighted from opened and a pair of a lady’s red shoes appeared. A few seconds later, the figure came out of the car.

Francesco's eyes shone brightly as he watched his mother stand before him cladded in a black tight-fitted costume. Her hair, packed into a ponytail style.

She narrowed her eyes towards the Russo brothers who had an irritated look on their faces. She smirked as she made her way towards them.

The Russo brothers' men raised their guns at Elizabeth but she did not flinch. Every step she took was with resilience and her eyes were sharp.

When she finally reached them, she smiled. “Why are you both here? And after how many years?”

Leopard, the second of the Russo brothers, spoke but his hands remained in his pockets. “The Lioness has arrived but is she afraid to see us or does she remember our father?”

“Your father?” Elizabeth scuffed. “How dare you talk about that betrayal. Ten years ago, the Dante's and the Russos’ were supposed to retrieve the crypt key from India together but your family… Being a coward that they are… They run away instead. You are back for the crypt key, am I right?”

Tiger snapped, “How dare you talk about our family like that? Your family has been nothing but a treacherous one. Every single one of your family deserves nothing but death. Every success that your family has achieved today was because they were stolen and that has been before you married into the Dante family.” He turned to Francesco, breathing heavily. “Before you gave birth to this brat… You worked for our grandfather. You were supposed to steal from the Dante family but you fell in love with Ronald instead.”

“Shut up! Lower your voice when you speak to me. Do not forget that you are in my den. Any mistake of yours can make your entire generation suffer badly in return.” Elizabeth warned, almost poking her fingers into Tiger's eyes.

Bullet and Francesco's men also raised their guns in defense. She slowly moved closer to where Elizabeth and the Russo brothers were. Her gun pointed directly at them.

Francesco and the men behind him remained at the scene as if they were the most useless beings on Earth. Their presence did not make much of a difference.

“You have always been filled with nothing but a cheater. You betrayed our family and I know that you will do the same to the Dante family since you only care about yourself.” Leopard expressed his inner thoughts.

He rolled his eyes towards Francesco's direction. “Elizabeth, are you waiting here because of him? You do not want to lose your son, right?” He asked her.

Elizabeth lowered her gaze but she clenched her fists trying to suppress her anger. Shortly, she raised her head, her eyes fixed on Leopard. “That is a lie. You know I do things my way.”

“Then… Let us leave together. Bring out the crypt key. Let us build our empire again. You should know by now that there is a lot to gain if you side with us than this rookie of a family who had stolen everything in their way.” Tiger pointed out a solution.

Elizabeth gave Francesco a long powerful stare. “Tiger, he is my son. I gave birth to him. He was in my womb for nine months.”

“Lies! Do you take us to be fools? Don't try that. It was only eight months after you got into the Dante family that we heard that a child was born. How is that possible? He is not your son.” Leopard raised his voice.

A pang of sorrow pierced Francesco's heart as Leopard made the truth more obvious. Elizabeth’s breathing grew rapid as she thought that she had kept the secret from Francesco for a long time.

And what about all the men that had worked for them over the past years. What would they think of her?

Most importantly, will they respect Francesco?

“Sooner or later, you will realize that you are making a big mistake.” Tiger said with pride. “The only place you can survive is with the Russo family.”

Elizabeth knew what to do than to argue with the Russo brothers. She took a step backward. With a single move, she grabbed the gun from Bullet. She pointed it at the Russo brothers.

The Russo brothers' followers responded by cocking their guns and pointing them at Francesco and his men who were caught off-guard. The alerted men behind Bullet shifted their attention and directed their guns to the Russo brothers.

“I have heard enough of you two. Go to report to the hell you call your father that I am not coming. I am now a member of the Dante family and that is it. The Russo family never offered me anything other than putting my life on the line. Also, tell him that I will get back to him for killing my parents and making me his slut years back.” Elizabeth made her decision clear.

The Russo brothers swallowed their pride but what they had in their mind remained within. “Put down your guns,” they ordered.

Their men followed their orders but Francesco's men had their guns pointed at their enemies, ready to shed another round of blood.

“We have both lost our men. Don't let us shed more blood.” Elizabeth hinted, trying to prevent a future bloodshed.

“Of course, we won't. However…” Tiger said before he closed the distance between Elizabeth and him. He brought his head near her ear so she could hear him. “Sooner or later, you will join us because you belong to our family. Do you care to bet?”

Elizabeth threw a left jab at Tiger. He staggered to the left before his men grabbed him before he fell to the floor. Blood flowed out of his mouth while he sucked it back in but a little dropped on the floor.

Fury coursed through Leopard’s body as he moved towards Elizabeth while raising his hands in the air. His right hand was grabbed by Francesco then he was pushed away.

“You…” Leopard fumed.

He let it go then he stood up. He, his brother and their men entered their cars and they drove out of the Dante's compound.

“Bullet, thanks for coming on time.” Francesco appreciated her for the first time.

She flashed a smile in response.

Elizabeth tried to reach out to Francesco who took a step backward instead. His eyes were full of disappointment and regret.

She had come into the Dante family with a mission. A purpose. To steal and deceive everyone.

“I never really had a place in this world.” He thought as he ran into the house, realizing everything had ended.

He locked his eyes on mine for the first time letting a sly smile appear on his face. Five years ago, Francesco was my boyfriend. Despite the fact that the air conditioner was working perfectly well, sweat still glistened on my face and neck. “Will you keep pacing up and down?” Francesco asked before he sipped some wine. Francesco lit up the cigarette in his right hand, his eyes fixed on me. “Can't you take your eyes off me?” I questioned, throwing my hands in the air. He rolled his eyes sarcastically, “Really?” He arched an eyebrow. “You are not that beautiful for me not to take my eyes off you.”“Seriously?
