Francesco

“What did you say happened?” I slammed my fist on the table, the sound echoing through the room like a crack of thunder.

My face twisted in rage, my eyes blazing with fury. The veins on my forehead pulsed like hot wires, my jaw clenched so tight it felt like it might shatter.

“The Fernandez family hijacked our goods. All the tankers are gone.” My consigliere — An advisor to the Don, often handling disputes and strategic decisions — explained the situation surrounding the circumstances we are in.

“And our men?” I asked, my eyes nearly popping

out of their sockets.

“All dead, Don.” He replied with his head down before he let out a sigh.

“You are dismissed,” I said, then I waved my hands dismissively.

Before I knew it, my ass was already pressed into the sofa behind me. Air closed in on me despite the fact that the air conditioner was powered.

Everything is crashing down. Why? Marshall!

I will make the fool pay for his sins. He still hasn't learned, right? Well, he should remember that there is always a day that every sin will be judged.

I should have outsmarted him. I should have tore him apart if not for the useless Brinda who pushed him down the cliff. She couldn't even complete a mission on her own.

I approached her initially to help me clear up my dirty works, find my father's killers — which we haven't started yet, sideline my opponents, and other mafias, and use her hacking abilities for my personal gain but I've gained nothing.

And it's all because of Marshall. All because of him.

“Francesco,” Brinda called from behind.

My face narrowed into slits as I turned around to face her. “From now on, call me ‘’Boss'’ or ‘’Don’. Understood?”

She nodded but I saw some hesitation in her. “What is it?” I asked, my voice sharp as a blade.

“Bullet might not survive,” she replied.

Earlier, my men picked up Bullet only to find out that she was still breathing. Later on, I called my personal doctor to check out her condition.

“And how is that my bloody business? Was I the one that shot her? Why do you have the brain of a fish? Am I a miracle worker that will bring her to normal?” I thundered, my voice like a force of nature. The words felt like they were ripped from my soul, leaving me raw and exposed.

Brinda took a step back, her eyes wide with alarm. She looked like she had just seen a ghost, her face pale and frightened. “Don, she has been your loyal servant. Will you calm down and…” She started, but I cut her off.

“Calm down?” I repeated, my voice rising to a shout. “You think I can calm down after hearing this? Our tankers were hijacked.” I didn't even realize when I got to my feet while I paced back and forth, my eyes scanning the room like I was searching for something to destroy.

My fists were clenched, my arms rigid with tension.

I felt like I was going to explode, like my anger was a living thing that was going to consume me whole. I could feel it burning in my chest, a fire that was spreading fast.

Marshall had hijacked goods worth millions of dollars and killed a lot of my men. Who wouldn't get angry? Only a fool won't get angry.

“Seriously? Are those goods more precious than Bullet's life?” She questioned me, raising her voice.

I closed the gap between us and I slapped her hard in the face. As a result, her eyes were clogged with tears and I cared less. “Vaffanculo dalla mia vista!” Get the fuck of my sight.

Brinda held on to her cheek as she walked backward till she disappeared out of sight.

My thought went directly back to Marshall's sins. My blood in rage owing to his spiteful previous action.

“I will kill him,” I growled, my voice low and deadly. “I will kill Marshall and every last one of his men." The words felt like a vow, a promise that I was going to make good on. “This is war. And I'm going to win it.”

The room fell silent, the only sound was my heavy breathing. I felt like a wild animal — untamed and unpredictable. My anger was a force to be reckoned with, and I was going to unleash it on Marshall and his men.

The war that once started with our fathers needs to come to an end. It has to be now or never.

Finally, I shouted, my voice low and deadly. “Danger,” I screamed my consigliere's name, enough for him to hear me. “Get the men ready,” I ordered. “We are going to take back what's ours!”

I hurried out of the room and took a leap of faith as we headed to Fernandez's hideout. Arriving there, Marshall was on his way out with his herds of men.

The cars stopped and his men came out all armed and guarded. I got out of the car and my men followed with a straight face.

“Call out your boss. We have some unfinished business…” I had hardly finished my words when the door of one of the cars at the back opened and Marshall slowly made his way out of the car, using his walking stick as a form of support.

He walked to where I stood and looked me in the eye. “What brings you here?”

“Death! And it is to kill you.” I raised my gun to his head.

“Do it. You will still be at loss.” He provoked me further after he smiled despite the anger I was feeling.

Suddenly, a female's voice rented the air. My breath hitched as I tried to remember who the voice belonged to.

The door of the car Marshall alighted from opened and a pair of red shoes were visible at first before a figure emerged from it.

“Alice?” I gasped, after seeing the figure's face.

“Are you shocked to see me, Francesco?” She asked as she made her way towards us. When she reached us, she locked her fingers with Marshall's as if they were some kind of couple. She spread a smile across her face.

Alice was part of my father's most trusted allies. It was believed by everyone that she died at the last attack we had. How come she is with Marshall?

“You had better not cause any issues for yourself. You know what I mean? We have silenced your men already and now… you came here with men that aren't up to twenty?” She mocked. “If I were you, I would just leave so I could at least keep my life. There will still be a day for a real battle between us. Wait till then.”

As I stood there, my gun still pointed at Marshall's head, I felt my rage boiling over. But then, I turned to Alice. Her eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, I was transported back to the past. Memories of our time together and of her working with my father, flooded my mind.

But Marshall's smug expression snapped me back to reality. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. Alice's words echoed in my mind: 'You know what I mean? We have silenced your men already...'

I glanced around, taking in the scene. My men, outnumbered and outgunned. Marshall's confident smirk. Alice's warning gaze. It hit me like a ton of bricks — I was walking into a trap.

My anger still simmered, but I knew I had to make a calculated decision. I lowered my gun, my eyes never leaving Marshall's face. “This isn't over,” I growled, before turning to my men. “We're leaving.”

A year ago, while Alice worked for my father, we have had one or two sex and I can say she's really good and fucking sexy to give a hard fuck. She was adopted at the age of five and started living with us. She is also very skilled, almost on the same level as Brinda.

But how the hell did she meet Marshall? Is she part of those who conspired to kill my father? Did she fake her own death? Was she always a part of Fernandez's family while she pretended to work with father?

BrindaFrancesco stormed into the living room accompanied by the few men we had left after Marshall's associates ambushed our men and hijacked the tankers. Now, I'm beginning to fear for my safety. If Marshall's associates could have crossed Francesco's men and Francesco left the house earlier in anger to confront his rival and still came back furious, it can only mean one thing. The thirst for blood was unsuccessful. What exactly happened?“Brinda,” Francesco called out to me. “Yes, Don.” I answered like a willful cat, obviously not trying to anger him more. “Get me a bottle of wine and chilled water.” He ordered before he hurried up the stairs to his room. His men all retired to their room. The house was just an eerie silence. Everyone's mood has been altered by the recent happenings in just two hours. Bullet's life hangs in balance and Francesco just lost a lot of his men but how is that my concern? I have no connection with any of them. But as for Bullet, she has been a nic

BrindaThe past few weeks have been nothing but stressful as I and Bullet overworked and trained ourselves in order for Francesco to have a higher hand in the battle between him and Marshall. I have been following Francesco to his office and working as his secretary which has been tiring, coupled with the constant visits of Charlotte Kavanaugh. Despite the chaos and trouble, I have been adding the grinded bottle into Francesco's food and water or any other type of things that would go to his stomach. Bullet suddenly pulled my hands and our back hit the wall. That way we were able to hide from Marshall's men who were on the lookout. Francesco had sent us to get the crypt key again. “We need to succeed this time,” Bullet expressed, tapping her fingers gently on the wall. I nodded and we swung into action. We ran across the fence till we reached the back of the compound. As expected, a few of Marshall's men were there. We both know what to do. We found our way into their midst and t

With a heart full of excitement and a mind filled with evil thoughts, Marshall marched into the Casino. His head was held high as he found his way into the inner room. On his left side was Alice, his puppet. As they entered the subdued radiant room, Marshall lounged on the luxurious, leather-upholstered couch and exhaled a deep breath before Alice sat on his laps. She kissed him for a while before she broke from the kiss and opened her purse. She gave a devilish smile as she brought out a pack of cigarettes which she flaunted alongside a lighter. She lit it up and smoked a little before she poured the content into the air. She smirked and moved her hand backward when Marshall tried to share some with her. “You have to convince me,” Alice said, locking her eyes on Marshall's. “How much do you want me to convince you? As much as convincing you to fight with Brinda?” Marshall asked, raising an eyebrow, just before he placed his head on her slightly exposed breast. “Breast is life, i

BrindaHot tears flowed out of my eyes as I watched Marshall storm away after letting me suffer. What kind of man is he? I can't believe he was the one I fell in love with years ago. If I'm talking about Marshall, what about Francesco? He was my first love and yet he betrayed me. Not only did he betray me, he used me. Such a horrible life I have got!I felt a gentle touch on my left hand where the tea spilled on. I turned sharply, forgetting my sorrow. And there he was… Francesco. He was already knelt in front of me and in his hands was a first aid box. He had a ‘sorry’ look on his face and my heart fluttered a little. “I'm sorry. I… I was unaware that he could do such a thing.” He said apologetically. Is this a new Francesco? What the fuck? He just yelled at me a few minutes ago before I went to get the tea. “There is no need to apologize. He simply added to the wounds you caused me. He isn't at fault.” I said, looking away trying to avoid his pity gaze. “Will you keep quie

BrindaWe willed our legs faster towards the parked truck behind the blue painted building ahead of us. Francesco had informed us earlier that a truck would be leaving for Marshall's hideout at exactly one in the morning. Getting to the truck, which was already moving slowly, Bullet hit the back of the truck and ensured the door opened with a little sound so as not to attract the drivers. Just when we were about to climb into the truck, it came to a halt. We stared at each other for a while, prepared for the worst. We stilled our bodies when we heard footsteps approaching us. I tightened my hold on the knife in my hand as I faced the left while Bullet concentrated on the right side. Then, I heard a grunt from Bullet's side. Before I could think of assisting her, another man showed up in front of me and tried to hit me on the back of my head. We locked hands and we started fighting. I hit him quite a number of times on the jaw before I used an iron rod behind me to render him unc

BrindaSeeing Marshall stand in front of me again, the strength I had gathered all these while just drained out of my body. Sweat glistened on my brow and my heart couldn't stop beating fast like a freight train. “How is this possible? I pushed you myself.” There was a rapid vibration in my voice. He shot me a sarcastic glance as he said, “That was what you think. Yes, you did push me off the cliff but… Here I am. Ta-da! You must have hit rock bottom.” “Brinda… Don't fall for it. He is trying to trap you.” Bullet said with a tone devoid of emotion but my mind was faraway from where I was. Is this the same person who promised that I would get over these same men? “Brinda!” Bullet's voice came cracking like thunder, shaking the air. She shoved me to the left and a few seconds later, I heard her grunting. As I turned, I saw Alice behind me. Her face was twisted in a snarl. Her hands, raised slightly above my head and she was ready to make me her prey. I shot her a deadly glance and

Brinda“This is a toast to a victory well deserved. I'm proud of you both. And note that, you both are free to ask me whatever you want.” Francesco winked at me, his eyes sparkling with mischief. I knew what his intentions towards me were but I won't give in. Instead, he would pay for his sins.We clink our glasses and we all gulped the contents down our throats. We finished eating and Bullet presented the crypt key to Francesco whose eyes widened in surprise. “Now, the time I have been waiting for has come.” Francesco's voice was lower than we spoke, his eyes danced around the box as he collected it from Bullet. It felt as though it had been his life's longest and biggest dream. Only time will tell. He has achieved his aim already and so will I achieve mine. He tapped my shoulder gently and I shifted my head to his direction. He stared at the box for some time before he stretched his hands towards me. “Take it.” He ordered, his gaze commanding and unrelenting. I also stretched

Brinda Francesco pushed me to the bed and he slowly climbed over me till his face was almost into mine. I moved my head away from his direction. It was then he grabbed my right cheek and pulled my face back to face him. A mischievous smile played across his lips then he brought out his tongue which made me wonder what he had in mind with it. “Are you trying to seduce me now?” I whispered, my breath brushing against his face and I felt the heat giving how close we were. “Please, fall for the devil. He loves you.” Francesco's voice came out thick, his words running together. “Or don't you want to fall in love with the devil?” He asked after thirty seconds of silence. “I hate the devil. How can I fall for him?” I replied, my gaze fixed on him. “Then, show me how much you hate the devil.” His words melted into my ears. I hate you to the extent that I am already counting the number of days you have left. By the time you die, I will hate you more. “Vuol dire che il mio cuore batte s

Brinda I never knew that my hands and body would move so fast apart from when I went on missions to kill and obtain other items. My heart raced fast as I shoved the last piece of my mother's most loved item into the backpack in my left hand. I rushed to the kitchen, opened the cabinet and brought out the safe I had kept the crypt key. I was still in the middle of thinking of whether I should take it along, leave it or toss it somewhere Francesco would find it easily when I heard a loud bang outside. No one needed to tell me.I’ve got company.I need to escape. As fast as possible. I dumped the safe into the backpack, zipped it and hid behind the kitchen’s door. I slid my right hand into my pocket and brought out a pistol while my left hand held the bag firmly. As I prepared myself for what was to come, I had nothing else on my mind than… To kill. To slaughter. To send whoever came after me to the jaws of death.Just then, the screeching of another set of cars outside made me

Francesco did not miss a step as his legs willed him faster while he climbed the steps. Elizabeth was also relentless in her pursuit. Bullet was busy outside ordering the men to pack the dead bodies on the ground so it could be disposed of. Elizabeth couldn't catch up with Francesco who had no intention of stopping at all. His mind was filled with questions. I am just a burden and nothing else. There is no place for me in this world. Am I just a commodity? Those were the thoughts that roamed his mind.He moved swiftly towards The Dark Room and when he reached there, he was still trying to unlock the door when a soft female's hand touched his hand. He knew who it was already. He had been with her for as long as he could remember in his entire life. “Leave me!” He fired without bothering to look at her. A few seconds later, the figure came out of the car. Francesco's eyes shone brightly as he watched his mother stand before him cladded in a black tight-fitted costume. Her hair, packed into a ponytail style. She narrowed her eyes towards the Russo brothers who had an irritated look on their faces. She smirked as she made her way towards them. The Russo brothers' men raised their guns at Elizabeth but she did not flinch. Every step she took was with resilience and her eyes were sharp. When she finally reached them, she smiled. “Why are you both here? Will you release me?” Brinda’s voice sliced through the noise, but he was already gone.Francesco moved with urgency, his boots pounding against the floor as he rushed to his room. No hesitation. No second thoughts. He yanked open the bathroom door and pressed a hidden button beneath the drawer handle — just like Brinda had when she had sneaked into his space days ago with Bullet. The drawer slid open with a soft click, revealing a lethal collection of guns. A wicked smirk curled his lips.
