"Why can't I come along? Last I checked, I was also part of this family" Darren complained. They were all cramped in the backseat while he drove them to the airport. Two weeks had passed since Max told her he'd cut ties with Lisandra. He had been extra attentive and touchy, following her to work, staying in his office, or trailing behind her like a toddler.
