Chapter four

"We need to protect Seth at all costs from your brother Richard. He won't leave Seth even after getting rid of us, you know full well he's after your properties and he would do anything to get his hands on it Julliard" 

" I know Crystal, my love, I know. But what do we do, how do we protect Seth and even us? It's very easy to put Seth at an orphanage after getting rid of us, so how do we even avoid that?" 

" You have to make a will favoring only Seth" 

"A will? How?" 

" Let's call our lawyer and make our will, we have to do it today because we have no time." "Ok then, I'll call him now" 

After a few dials, Richard was finally able to get his lawyer and ask him to come over.

After an hour and a half, Mr. Philips finally arrived. 

" Good Day Mr and Mrs Williamson, hope there is no problem, you suddenly called me to write your will. Hope there is no problem?"

"Actually, there is , some people are after us and we want to make sure our son Seth is well established in life. We want to make sure all our properties goes to him. Also we want to keep the company running till he's old enough. How can we do that?" 

" Mrs Williamson, why don't let the police help you track who ever it is down , that is much more safer". 

" I know Mr Philips but I prefer to do this first. This is more important to us".

" Ok then , if you say so. Let's get started then. How do you want the will to be done? "

" I want all our houses , cars , company and all accounts go to him. Let him be fully in charge of it all when he clocks twenty three. Before then let his uncle , who is my brother Richard be in charge. But should anything happen to my son Seth, all my property is to be immediately become government property and none of my relatives can have access to them. Neither should tye government give them anything. " 

" Oh also , before Seth clocks twenty three , he is allowed to take things he need , like a house , a car and a particular amount of money is to be allocated to him every month for his use. " Crystal knew she had to provide for him because her husband's brother Richard probably won't. She just hoped her son would be wise and not irrational.

"Okay then ,I would work on the will and get back to you today . I'll give you a call before midnight sir".  

" Okay , thank you very much Mr Philips, I would be expecting your call. Have a nice day." 

" Now that has been sorted out , we have to prepare Seth's mind. He has to know how to live so he doesn't grow up spoilt. Or what do you think dear".

" You're right Crystal, we have to prepare our son for the future and what it brings ". 

" I'll go call him".

Unknown to them , Seth was overheard everything. He was coming to call his mother to help with his mathematical assignment but happened to hear everything being said. He was wonderful, how bad could his uncle be? Uncle Richard was always nice to him anytime he came around. He always got him gifts and sweets, so what could be wrong now, why would he want to kill him........ 

"Seth , where are you". His mother was calling him , he had to pretend he wasn't aware of anything. Even though he was already fifteen years old , his parents treated him like a baby . Not that he was complaining, there were after all many people without parents. He loved his parents very much and wanted them to treat him maturely , but the thought of losing them scared him to the bones.

 " I'm coming mother" he was going to cherish every time with them no matter what. 

" Yes mother, you were calling me" 

"Yea darling, me and your father have something very important to discuss with you. " She looked over at her husband to start and she started to tear up heartbreaking that she might not see her son grow , all because of the greediness of man. 

" You might have to grow up alone son" he was broken inside but he had to be strong. It was his fault after all. If he wasn't soo rich , maybe his brother wouldn't try to take his life . But right now he had to protect his family. 

"What do you mean by that father , why would I grow up alone? Where would you and mum be then , are you going on a long trip?"

 " No son , some people are after our lives , because of my wealth , they want to kill us..." 

" Then why don't you make a will then?"

 " Because even with the will , if everyone is killed, they would be able to access it , unless it had a clause. Now listen attentively , you must be very careful of your uncle Richard. He is a very wicked man. He has been attempting on me and your mother lives for a very long time now. We fear this time, he's going to be very ruthless . Now I want you to promise us that you would live a very responsible life . You would be wise in your decisions and take life very important. I don't want you to live with bitterness or revenge . I want you to live you life , grow my company but mostly do what makes you happy.... "

" Dad, but..... " At this point Seth began to tear up , the reality was dawning on him. He was actually going to lose his parents soon.....

" My darling son, remember to make only right decisions , choose with your heart and soul and brain. Don't be cornered into a decision, okay? " 

" Okay mother" 

" I have written my will and willed all my properties to you , so if anything happens to you , my whole property goes to the government, so Richard would have no choice but to spare you. He might maltreat you but he has to take care of you if he wants even a dime from my will. But remember, the whole will belongs to you. You can access it all when you get to the age of twenty three. But before then make sure to invest and multiply money In your name , because Richard might harm you then . Find a way to convert the whole property to your name and safeguard it. That is all I can do to protect you son".

" But why don't you include mummy , I understand you but why not her? " 

" Because if I do , he will force her to sign out the will to him"

" Ohh... " Seth burst out crying , he knew he had to stay strong but he couldn't at the moment." "I love you dad , I love you mum."

" We love you son" Crystal and Julliard chorused with tears. They hugged their son and wished in their minds that their fears wouldn't come true. 

In the night Richard and Crystal were in their room , talking and reminscing about life .

 " Do you remember when we first met each other, we were so little but we knew we were meant for each other. You were and still the most beautiful woman I've ever meet. Did you know my dad tried to hook me up with his friend's daughter? "

 " Wow, really. That's unfair, I thought he really liked me, but he was trying to hook you up with other girls" she looked slightly jealous. This made Julliard laugh.

" That was before he realized what a wonderful person you are baby. After he met you, his perspective about you changed completely. I can almost say he loves you more than me" Julliard said laughing .

They were silent for a while , both thinking about the obvious but not able to speak. Finally Crystal decided to speak first.

" Do you think he can survive , what if the will method doesn't work and Richard kills Seth, what will happen then? Or should we just run away , we could travel to another country completely, what do you think?"

  " I don't think so , remember Richard belongs to a mafia group , he's very strong . It only takes a few calls for him to find us. I think it's better we die here where we can have a proper burial than in another land where we might probably be just thrown into the gutter."  

" That is also true. I'm actually so scared. I'm very sad I won't see what my beautiful son grows into. I just hope he lives a wonderful and happy life . I also hope he doesn't grow to get revenge." 

" There is something I didn't tell you my love. "

 " What's that honey ".

 "There are various beings in this world. There are vampires , werevolves, hybrids living with us". " You are very funny my love" Crystal said bursting with laughter," I understand you're trying to make me smile baby ,thank you very much . But don't you vampires and werevolves is a little far?". "I really mean it my love, they really do exist. The reason why Richard is so powerful isn't only because he's in the mafia , but also because he's a hunter."
