Empty.

That's all I was feeling as I stared at the white ceiling above me.

Would Daniel really bring our Danielle back? Could I trust him?

Even if I couldn't trust him. What other choice do I have?

The soft mattress beneath me seemed to be biting away on my soul at the thought of the past that lingered in the back of my head. I don't think any of my sanity would still be left if Keira would kill Danielle in front of me again. Or, if Daniel sided with Kiera.

I closed my eyes, trying to push away the haunting memories that threatened to consume me. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't escape the fear and uncertainty of losing the ones I love that had become a constant presence in my life.
