Dimitri
My mother was alive. That in itself was a miracle. When she saw me from the distance, she literally started crying just like Ellie said she would. Mom was always overly dramatic. I remember when I got hurt riding my bike, she cried more than I did. She would host extravagant parties over the smallest of my achievements. I used to hate this but I soon realized that this was just her way of showing that she cared. Mom never had children of her own. And when her mate died that possibility died as well.
I was rather annoyed that even my m
DimitriWhen I finally got back to the pack house, the sun was fully risen. I don’t know how long I spent wondering in the forest but with the way the sun rays were hitting my skin, I knew it was somewhat close to noon. The sun rays kept trying to creep past the luscious thick forest leaves to land on my glistening skin.I was rather grateful for the birds constant chirping in the forest. I was in no mood to be drowned in silence. It would just lead to me stressing over things I couldn’t even fix. But being lost in this humongous forest at this hour of day felt relieving. I was just another person without a worry.Somehow after calming down and just being in the moment, thoughts of Rebecca can to my mind. I knew without a doubt that
DimitriAfter calming Ellie down, we walked back to the pack house. We took our time walking back which gave us time to catch up. Ellie caught me up on everything that had happened in my absence and on the attack. The story of Seneca didn't add up and I had questions. But I had also missed hearing my sister's voice so, I let her speak uninterrupted for now.Ellie could drag a story for eons if she wished to do so and she was doing it again right now. Normally, I would get frustrated when she did so, but today I rather enjoyed that fact that she would go off topic so easily. Besides, I really wasn't ready to tell everyone that I had no means to get the crown back.Just before we got to the pack house, Ellie suddenly stopped. I immediately stepped in front of her as I looked around trying to locate the danger when she turned me to face her and spoke up, "Damien has been avoiding me all day. He is your best friend Dimitri and he would do anything for you. That incl
DimitriAfter my mother told us the truth yesterday, we all went our separate ways.I headed back to the lake again. There was too much going on. And my brain was in overdrive from all the new information I was trying to process.I finally had a plan of action, but things just got worse. I was going against my sister. Seneca was my own blood. Also, it was her birth right to rule the kingdom. Thus, I couldn't call the council anymore. They would kill her. Now, I wasn't a fan of her, but I also didn't want my sister dead. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself afterwards. Besides, I was really curious to meet her now.I wonder what she looks like. Did she have a beast? Does her eyes turn golden when she does magic like the other witches? Does she feed on blood? What colour was her hair? Did we look alike? Now, that I think about it, there were never any pictures of my sister up anywhere. She was hidden up in the palace ever since she took over. Why wa
EllieAfter mom's truth spilling, we all went our separate ways. Dimitri was the first to vanish. It was like he couldn’t stand to be here for another second. I am very worried about him. Lately, he has always been buried in his thoughts such that he hardly ever spend time with any of us. I knew he was mad at Damien and I, but he could spend time with mum at least.Damien on the other hand was avoiding me like the plague. As soon as Dimitri left, he too vanished to lord knows where. So, I was stuck with myself. And I hated being by mysel
Dimitri"What are you thinking of brother?" Ellie asked as she came and sat next to me on the rock facing the lake. She was much shorter than I was, so her legs weren’t touching the ground. Instead, she swung them back and forth in the air. I used to make fun of Ellie’s height once. But now I was scared that she was all too grown up. I wanted her to remain small. But life didn’t work that way. She was in love. My little sister Ellie is in love with my best friend.Ellie’s question reminded me of home. This was always our routine. She would find me deep in thought staring through my bedroom window and would ask me that exact question. Initially, it felt odd sharing my thoughts with her. But with time and lots of begging on Ellie's end, it became routine.I always pretended to be annoyed when she would ask the question but low-key would wait patiently for her to come and ask me. Yes, I secretly started to enjoy our sessions. In a way they a
DimitriBeing in a werewolf pack had its moments. Most of the times the wolves avoided us like some contagious disease. I still don't understand why though. It's not like I was going to wake up one day and just decide to kill them. Besides, vampires can’t feed on werewolves. Their blood is poisonous to us.Again, it would render us a slow painful death if we drank it. I of course being an original vampire would be injured severely. Only the alpha’s blood could actually kill me.I am currently wondering in the forest looking for a meal. See, the pack did give us blood from their blood bank, but I wasn't a fan of it. Having fresh blood was always better. I couldn't get fresh human blood since I was too far away from human civilization. So, animal blood would have had to suffice for now. The blood from the blood bank was frozen so, it had to be rewarmed for us to drink. Just like how soggy warmed up food in a microwave tasted so, too did the blood when it
DimitriThe door creaked behind us as it slowly closed. Then like all the doors in this crazy witch place, it too disappeared and was replaced by a brick wall. I took a quick peak and Damien and noticed that he was still a brick wall of emotions. I really couldn’t tell how he was handling all of this.I then turned back to face the old woman. She was now sitting up on her bed. She also had a candle in her hand. Then she whispered some words in a language I had not heard before and the candle was lit. The old lady held the candle with both hands. She then stretched out both hands slowly. Once both her hands were fully stretched she let go of the candle and to my surprise the candle continued to move in the air until it reached the center of the room. Then the candle stopped. The whole room was now brightly light by the candle that was hanging in the air. How normal.I was still grasping what the woman just did that I didn’t notice the woman
Dimitri“Wait, I am so confused right now,” Damien said as he stopped right after we stepped out of the creepy cemetery. I was glad I wasn't the only one seeing things. But how could I have not seen it all along. I spent so much time with her that I should have known. But she smelt human, she acted like a human as well. Besides, witches also avoided human civilization. But clearly she didn’t. On the upside at least I knew exactly where to find her. Well, that is if she hadn’t left. I hope she didn’t leave. I no longer had the patience to wait. I needed my palace back soon."But that is Rebecca," Damien voiced out again when he realized that I wasn’t going to respond to him. I looked to Damien and for once I could read emotion on his face. His eyebrows were knitted together in confusion. I couldn’t help but laugh as he wor
Hi, so that last chapter is how I want this book to end. I don’t want to drag the story on for too long. I also wanted to leave it up to your imagination as to how Dimitri and Rebecca finally end up together. I am thinking about writing a sequel to this book but it depends on how many requests I get from you, my readers. I am also working on another novel right now. No, it’s not a vampire book this time. I am trying to write a normal human book. Please do check it out and show me some support. Finally, I just want to say thank you for taking your time to read my first ever written full story. It was such a spontaneous decision I made and I am glad I did it, because I learnt so much through this writing. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did. If you have anything you want to discuss with me regarding this
DimitriIt has been three months now since my father's funeral. And life was slowly starting to feel normal again. A week after the funeral, my sister had begun training for the role of Queen as my mother held the position for her so long. This kept mom on her toes and as a result she spent less time visiting my dad’s grave. I was glad because I was scared mom was going to lose her mind.Ellie was currently constantly away on trips for months on end. She needed to learn various fighting techniques including Martial arts, Karate, Judo, and Jujutsu. This was my favourite part of all the royal training. I did have a knack for breaking things. She of course went with Damien always. And Damien finally started smiling again. It was so odd at first seeing Damien smile but with time it became bearable. I would never admit this to them, but the truth was that Ellie and Damien fit together rather well. All in all, we were all doing okay.I had left the
DIMITRIWe had finally finished getting everyone who was sleeping over in the palace tonight settled into the building. Before I never really had to do this task. It was usually dad and mom who dealt with this. Mainly it was mom’s job. But I knew better than to give a woman who just lost her husband work. She needed to morn.Despite not being the one that killed dad, I still felt responsible. If I had not gotten myself nearly killed perhaps dad would still be here today.I then threw myself onto the first couch I saw and finally allowed my legs a break from all the hard work. I never knew how much work that was. Now I could have asked Ellie for help, but she was a crying mess as well. Damien on the other hand was just as clueless as me on this matter. So, I decided to have him look after the women while I figured things out on my own. The number of couples who requested separate sleeping arrangements from their partn
DimitriDuring the whole funeral, I had felt on edge and could not fathom why. I was sitting right in front, so I could not look back at all. Yet, the feeling would not go away. I did not think I was in danger at all. However, I could also not place what this odd feeling actually was. My mind had started going forth with hundreds of different reasons as to why I felt uncomfortable throughout the funeral. I was so engrossed in that task that I did not hear when the priest called for me to come say a few words. That was when I realized that non
Dimitri"Hey brother, are you ready?" Ellie asked me from outside my bedroom door.It had been a full week since the encounter with Seneca and well, my father's death. My dad and I had not really been the affectionate kind. Whereas my dad would hug Ellie and shower her with kisses, he and I would usually only nod or better yet stare at each other. We hardly ever used words or hugs. The last time I can ever recall being hugged by my dad was when I had just turned 10 years old. After that dad started training me and that meant he was only ever serious with me. But I knew he loved me. I just hope that he knew I loved him too.I was left conflicted on so many things. My father had passed which meant I was now the Vampire king. But I don't know if I wanted the title at all. I also wasn't sure how I felt about my father anymore. There was no doubt that he raised me well.As a child I always looked up to him and wanted to be him. I mean he even taught me h
DimitriWhen I woke up I found myself, Damien and my father all laying on a soft king sized mattress in the center of the cell. I then tried to get up off the bed but my body was way too weak and felt extremely heavy, so I ended up falling on top of Damien and thus woke him up from his nap. So, I turned to my father and stretched out my hand towards him in an attempt to wake him up as well so we could get out of this dungeon when I heard the strangest of sounds.I could not believe my ears. Now, I know that it was not coming from me or my father since he was still sleeping. So, I let go of dad and turned around to face Damien. I first stopped and watched him in pure disbelief. I then gently went on to touch his wet face and indeed I had seen and heard correctly. Low and behold, Damien was in front of me crying. There were actual tears running down Damien’s face. He was actually crying. This was so insane! I had only seen Damien cry once in his life and that was w
RebeccaThere was no way on earth that I was going to channel Damien. He still had so much to live for. I couldn’t take an innocent life. Besides, the king had destroyed enough in his lifetime already. If you asked me this was a nice way to go.He would be remembered as a hero. And literally speaking a piece of him would always live on in his son.Damien was shouting and arguing with me to not take the king but him instead. So, I had cast a spell to paralyse both him and the king. I didn't have time to discuss this issue right now. Dimitri was dying a little more each time we wasted. I needed to work fast and so I paralysed them both. This way everyone co-operates. I then went to the king and sat in front of him. I could feel my eyes glow as I stared at him. After saying the spell, his eyes closed and I laid him on the ground gently. I then protruded my wolf and my fingers turned into paws. I couldn't fully turn into a wolf since I was only hal
DamienSeneca looked a lot like Dimitri. They both had grey eyes, high hollow check bones and dark brown curly hair. Seneca took her time analyzing each person in the cell. She was currently looking at me which made me rather uncomfortable. So, I opted to look at the fascinating floor. She then moved on to look at Rebecca. So, I finally turned my gaze back on her as this was after all my first proper encounter with her. But then I realised that she kept staring at Rebecca. So, I then also turned and looked at Rebecca and saw it. Rebecca’s neck was fully bruised. Her skin around the collar was red and swollen as trails of blood seeped down her neck. I couldn’t understand where these
DimitriI woke up with a killer headache. Which was odd because, I normally wake up from naps feeling well rested. I then proceeded to touch my forehead as if by touching it, I would somehow figure out why my head was pounding. There was no wound open on my head which was great. But there was dried blood on my left forehead. Which could only mean that I had fallen facedown first. But when did that happen? And just like that, it all came crashing back fast. My older sister had finally found me.
