[Mr. Tanaka?]
I tried to summon him and waited…
[Yes, my lady?]
As expected from my best and oldest employee, that he would answer right away.
[Tell Zachary, Ezekiel and John to wait and they can mend their horses because Victor didn’t have a lead yet on where to find the rogue vampires nest that held the doctor.]
[Right away, my lady! I’ll tell them, I’m with them at the moment. Would there be anything else, my lady?]
I paused and thought so hard making Mr. Tanaka questioned the hesitation in my few minutes absence,
[My lady?]
[It was a dead end, Mr. Tanaka. What should I do? Do you have any suggestion?]
[If I may, it’s better if you run the clues again. Take a look at the files from the first time you encountered the case. Pay attention to details, in case you or Victor missed something. Do you need help from Zachary, Ezekiel, and John?]
I sighed.
[Tell them to patrol together with their horses, so that whenever they found something suspicious, they could call me and Viktor. Ah ya, also tell John to highlight the places that used to be a medical office or any abandoned medical fixation room. They need only one room to set the lab he needs. I’m hoping we’re not looking for a needle in a stack of hay]
[On it, my lady!]
[and one more, Mr.Tanaka…]
[Yes, my lady?]
[Tell them to keep being alerted, I’ll contact them as soon as Viktor has the lead to their nest]
[Absolutely, my lady.]
With that I ended the mind meeting with Mr. Tanaka and ran to my balcony. On the edge of the line between the bluish night sky and the greenish labyrinth of the castle, I heard the vampire horses were neighing and stomping on their feet. That meant they were ready to go.
Because the vampire horses were the strongest horses ever existed, their loud neighing sometimes unbearable even for the normal humans’ ears to hear. But it could be handy as well, telling them not to go wander outside their houses because it was possible that the vampire rogues were near.
The sound of those vampire horses could be the sign that the rogue vampires were near. If it were only normal occasion of my four horsemen patrolling, they would hear only the roar of John’s black Ducati’s engines. You know how loud the sound of Italian bikes’ engines.
Their neighing could also be the warning for the humans to obey the curfew, for the sake of their own safety. It was a flawless system that I made. I was optimistic that this system would work properly with only a slight of risk. I might say, it was a slight risk. But it could be fatal for those humans who didn’t obey or unfortunately had to go out in the night without vampire cop guardian.
The disobedience that mostly brought them to be the rogue vampires, accidentally turned into the vampires by raging blind rogue vampires that sought only blood and drained their victims’ blood. If it was careless of them, they would leave the body unattended. And the next night, the body would rise as a rogue vampire. Or if the vampire cops patrolling in the night and found the body, they would have the body arrested to be fed with good blood until they came to their senses.
Then from there, they would be asked if they wanted to be a vampire cop to get through some training, or they wanted to go back to their lives as a creature of the night. Since everyone was ID-ed, it was easy to find for their relatives if they had, there would be proper counseling for the civilized vampire and her or his relative. They could choose the kind of lives they wanted to live.
If they wanted to live by themselves, then they had to tell their relatives how they wanted to live their lives. The acceptance of being new vampire was very crucial. Because if a new vampire knew that they weren’t wanted anymore in the family, in the Police Force, or in their old lives, chances they became the rogue vampires were even bigger.
Some cases if the new vampire wanted to be with his or her relatives, then he or she had to be guided by the counselor and also two vampire cops who could stopped him and put him in the good blood treatment again if he or she started to hurt the relatives.
The easiest case would be when the new vampire wanted to live by him or herself. It would be as easy saying good bye to the relatives and live his or her life by himself or herself. This case was easier since it needed only one vampire cop to monitor the progress. We also had some kind of guidance collar that connected to their Medulla Oblongata whenever the vampire lost control in her or his probation to live independently as the new vampire, the collar would stop their movement.
I was still searching for an innovation or new system to handle this kind of matters.
Now while my four horsemen patrolling, I could see any abandoned medical office or unused fixation room that possible to be place for the rogue vampires to hold captive the doctor.
So I asked the crystal ball again,
“O dear smooth magnificent sphere friend, where should I seek for this doctor? Could I have a slight image on what the place would look like?”
There was mist built inside the empty sphere. Then the mist became thick gradually break into pieces to reveal some images. There, I saw his face. His big down turned eyes looked so scared behind his clear spectacles. He knew he was in danger. But he kept on doing his work in the captive.
I could see his expression was slowly changing when he was working on his microscope. So the work helped him to overcome his anxiety on being held by the rogue vampires that he knew they could drain his blood anytime they decided to. His hair tousled, his facial hair untidy, and his lab coat was so dirty. Still I could see the beautiful man beneath the hideous accessories. If we could clean him up as good as new, he could be decent and look easy in the eyes.
Now what I had to do was to run the images again and see the background of his working place, on any sign or any symbol that might lead to knowing the place where they held him captive.
I ran my finger touching the crystal ball, asking it to zoom at some background details.
I saw dirty windows covered with fresh paint. So it meant that the building wasn’t underground. These rogue vampires quite advance knowing that they could build a fortress by painting the windows to keep their nest from the breaking of the sunlight. This was something new. I didn’t know how many new tricks they had learned so far.
This must be because they drank the blood of the highly enhanced intelligent lambs involved in the experiments done by the doctor. They felt like they could be smarter and they would start to seek for purpose of their being rogue vampires. If their solely purpose was positive to be able to live as civilized vampires like my men and I, then it wouldn’t be a problem.
What if their main purpose was to slaughter and enslave more human? That would be a big problem and I hoped that the doctor knew how to buy some time before we could save him.
And then I saw that sign…
[Help me!] Wait, what?
-to be continued-
[ ] these punctuations used to give a sign that the sentences were said as a means of communication between vampires. These vampires had these abilities because they were from one root of a Maker, Vivienne, who used to be a werewolf that could communicate in a pack and was the descendant of the Empath humans, the mind readers. Since she was downgraded to a vampire because of the Tribrid’s curse, her ability was also lessened to be able to communicate only one on one to her child only one at a time. I use these punctuations because GoodNovel app for mobile doesn’t show the post to be in italic. It only applies if you open the story using PC.
When I was running my fore finger on the crystal ball, hoping that I could find any clues on how to find the doctor, besides I finally knew that the doctor was held captive not in a basement because the windows behind him were painted to prevent the sunlight from breaking in, I found another note written by the doctor. It said, “Help me!” He knew exactly that his vampire queen, the ruler of the Imperial Colony would find him. Well, gorgeous, we’d come to rescue you. But before that, I’d need to know some more clues found near your surroundings. I ran my fore finger to the right side of the crystal ball to see if I could find some other marks or brand or even a complete address that could lead us to find him. There weren’t enough clues to look for so I started to look at the interior of the building. The columns were all painted in white and the light seemed just sufficient. I saw some shelves of experimental tools used mainly for a lab. I was guessing that the building was a medica
By the time I got there, the four horsemen already told their men to pull the rogue vampires from four different directions. I saw them scattered each four of them took one rogue vampire. There were four clusters so I asked Zachary how many they were. [Zach, how many are they?] I jumped to another side of the roof, looked like the building didn’t have a rooftop which was good. There was only a roof. We only needed to handle two floors without risking the rogue vampires might move the doctor using the outlet on the rooftop. It was our beginner’s luck that the building didn’t have a rooftop. We needed to think about some more tactics if this kind of ambush happened again. [Five outside, my lady. One down, Victor and I are taking care four more. John and Ezekiel are getting inside with few men. We don’t really know how many inside, but we’re guessing they’re no more than five or six left inside. The building is quite small with only two stories. And I believe the rogue vampires can’t
We were saving the doctor when we finally met him, Ezi was doing something out of his mind. We could say that he was a bit crazy, I was pretty sure he didn’t inherit that from me. Ezi shoved the edge of his machete to the doctor’s neck while threatening, “Do you dare to propose for marriage to our queen? Are you out of your mind?” Ezi gritted his teeth and rudely showed his vampire fangs. John, the doctor, and I suddenly was in awe looking in Ezi’s direction with our slightly opened mouth. Suddenly, Ezi laughed so hard. Then John and I realized that Ezi was joking so we finally chuckled and laughed as well, while the doctor was still on his knees and in awe. I realized that I needed to explain to him what had just happened. “Forgive Ezi, my second horseman, Dr. Howard. He was sometimes out of his mind, but he’s a great tracker to find rogue vampires. Are you okay, doc?” I shoved my hand for him to reach so he could stand on his feet instead of kneeling like that. And to my
We'd finally rescued the doctor from the rogue vampires. To our surprise, the doctor had the same thought that he was going to help us to create the formula for the synthetic blood so all the vampires in the Imperial Colony didn’t have to drink human or animal blood anymore. That was the thing very important to achieve to create a peaceful world decent for humanity. That in the end, my vampire children and I could get some rest from hunting rogue vampires or even sleeping eternally in our coffins, to be wakened up later when there was some kind of disturbance in the peace of humanity. Not for wishing something bad, but I was cursed and built my empire of children only to protect the human. This was my legacy and I intended to keep it that way. So when we finally found a way with the help of the doctor, though we hadn't found the actual result, we were pretty sure we were closer to our final goal. I was glad I finally had this thought when we went outside and gathered with Zach and
I asked the doctor whether I should call him ‘doc' or ‘professor’ while he was mending the wound on my head due to his instinct to hit me with a bar stool thinking I was going to hurt him. Though it was unnecessary because my wound would heal in an hour or two. I didn’t take the human blood since I woke up tonight, usually, the human blood would be served around 3 AM or after I went back from hunting and killing rogue vampires. It was supposed to be the blood of the Hungarian pianist tonight. I didn’t ask for his presence, but he came to this Imperial Colony city to offer his blood to the queen. He said that he didn’t have family left, so giving up himself to immortality was his only option. At such young age, he grew tired of traveling around the world playing piano on big stages. Popularity didn’t fulfill his soul anymore so he sought a greater purpose. When he heard that there was a city ruled by a vampire queen to protect humanity, he felt like he needed the urge to participate.
We were going back to the mansion after we rescued the doctor. To our surprise, the doctor asked to ride one of the vampire horses because he liked to ride a horse. Since we weren’t going to hunt for some more rogue vampires, Zach lent his vampire horse, the White Beauty. It had its best figure when it changed into a vampire. Its dull white hair became indescribably beautiful because of the effects when a creature became a vampire. It must have been a struggle for a human to ride a vampire horse. But seeing his tall figure and looked like his strong legs, I wouldn’t be worried. That tall doctor easily got onto the vampire horse's back, and the horse was hissing and neighing because it recognized the rider as a human and it smelled the doctor's blood. The White Beauty was walking in a circle because it smelled the doctor's blood. But I could see that the doctor was an adept horseback rider, he kept on directing the horse to walk in a circle to distract it from the smell of his bl
The doctor told Mr. Tanaka and me how people usually took him for granted, making us exchange a very meaningful look. We meant that finally, the doctor was in the right place where his brain and hard work would be acknowledged and useful for the greater good, to keep the peace between humans and vampires to live to co-exist. The air suddenly became so sad. I might be a vampire who didn’t feel a thing but the Empath cells in my body sometimes gave me hints of how my surrounding felt. Thus I tried to crack the silence. “Well then, Mr. Tanaka. I'm famished. Could you please also prepare the doctor's dinner and show him the way to his room?” “Certainly, milady. Yours is prepared, and I've asked the kitchen staff to prepare something for the doctor.” Mr. Tanaka looked at the doctor and continued his explanation, “Pardon me, doctor. If later the taste of the food doesn’t suit your taste buds. We’re sorry that since there was no one in the Royal Family eating food anymore except for ano
The doctor stopped to walk when he saw me before he got down the grand stairs to the dining room. I didn’t know why he shoved his right hand for me to take. He had the oldest chivalry and even though I wasn’t his woman, he tried to act gentle. A true gentleman he was. So I guessed I had nothing to worry about, thus I reached for his hand and let mine hold his. There was a strange thing that happened when I put my hand in his holding. A tingling sensation came from his hand running through my hand, my arms, my shoulders to my back, to my spine, and down to my core. It felt warm. It was like an electric current. For as long as I remembered, this had never happened when I touched humans. I was supposed to be the one who gave the human this feeling. Not the other way around. Vampires manipulated and hypnotized their targets of blood bags. It had never happened the other way around. Or when a vampire said that he or she fell in love with his or her blood bag, was just because of the d
I was trying to set a back-up plan if anything went South after my fight with the doctor. We both were so emotional as if we were a couple. Though we weren't. We're the creatures of master control, but our side selves seemed to feel like a normal human beings. We might be the undead supernatural beings as I was the vampire and he was the Incubus, but we had other sides as well. My she-wolf was half awaken as I was closer to a creature called hybrid, while the Incubus doctor occupied a body of a gorgeous tall dark man with a youth of ten years younger than he looked like now. He was the definition of constant temptation as it had proven that my she-wolf inside me liked him as she was awaken when he lured her through the wet holes between my thighs. He successfully made it wet as in juicy lustful wet instead of merely blood that I drank. After I banged his temporary lab door because I couldn't bang the doctor myself, and the doctor was also smashing things up, I realized we needed to
When the doctor aka incubus offered to have his spiritual body to be Chi-mined, I was clueless as I didn't know how to react to that. He said it was a form of showing that he loved my life and in the end, he loved me as well. But he had deceived me, how did he expect me to believe anything he said? My trust issues and I. If you had been living for two hundred and sixty-nine years old just like I was, you would know how it felt when people around were used to deceiving you, and that trust became an issue. Though it wouldn't matter at all as I couldn't be killed, I was the undead anyway. But along the way, I might grow caring for him as he knew how to treat me and know so much about me. Well, he didn't have to try hard as he already knew all the knowledge about my new-being-vampire. But his choice to be by my side or put some scheme to be found by me had captivated me, he was indeed astonishing. Though I was provoked if he DID being Chi-mined, I knew that he needed all the strength
On our professional days, I asked questions that bothered me. One thing led to another, then it came the doctor's remark that surprised me. "You know, my queen... "I cut his sentence halfway, "No, I don't." Then he chuckled. I was glad in a while he could be seen not too sad, not just a while ago when he told me he wanted to stay as my prisoner in my castle. Explanation from me was the thing that came after because I believed he deserved an explanation. "No, really doctor. I don't know. Truly..., " I said while grinning that I thought the she-wolf that had 'were' meant human in me had finally appeared even for a while, then I continued, "You're the one who has all the advantages here as you can read my mind and I don't, doctor. " To my surprise, I laughed at the last word said. "Oh, my queen. You're not trying hard. Why don't you try to read my mind now, as now I am thinking of something? "His gaze didn't leave me not even a second as I tried to read him. Then there was a long lin
Then in a vampiric speed, I quickly went back to my room and summoned Mr. Tanaka to bring me ten glasses of warm human blood, along with the order of the blueprint for the construction workers. They would work days and nights. Days for the humans shift, while nights for vampires shift. It would be three times faster as the vampire construction workers would finish twice the job done by the day shift humans. My vampire system was effective indeed. The doctor was completely right, I was famished and I really needed those ten glasses of blood. Like a newborn vampire, I drank all the blood in those ten glasses at once. He was right, again. I slowly turned into a hybrid, the creature that was said to be the monster among the beasts of vampires and werewolves. Let alone the Tribrid that cursed my ancestor and I was the one who burdened with the curse. Afraid of being out of control, I tried to sleep after I made myself full. It was just a basic need for any animated creature on earth t
"Now... let's get to work," the doctor said, and I couldn't agree more. "Absolutely!" I replied. Then there was a long silence when we stared at each other. I didn't want to think because he would read my mind. So I was just staring at him and he was also staring back at me. Words left unspoken, not even in our minds. Our gazes met felt like centuries passed by. It was an absolute moment of awkwardness if we both were human. But the only human here, or half-human was the doctor. Thus, explained why sometimes he acted like a human just like what he did at this very moment. But he knew, he should be the one who broke the silence as he knew I was the creature of hollow that still learned how to be a vampire, meanwhile he knew how to act like a human. Hence, he chuckled so we finally could move on from our staring-at-each-other game. "So what now?" he sneered mocking me being the employer, he wanted me to decide what we should do next. I acted fast. "Well, first. We need to deci
The doctor demanded to drink from me again as he said that the life juice I produced from my intimate core, would be a waste if I let it drip to the floor. It could be the source of his strength that later he would provide Chi for my vampire troops, In order for them to be at least as strong as the rogue vampires who consumed the most powerful source of blood, human blood. His head finally reached my lower body part as he sucked the juice in my wet folds, I couldn't help myself but enjoyed it. So I moved my hips as he sucked my intimate core so strong making sure no juice was left as it was crucial for him to maintain his strength as an incubus. But the stronger he sucked, the more something wanna explode inside of me. So I held onto his head, ensuring he didn't stop until I finally exploded. My moaning was unavoidable. Moving my hips, hands on his hair, I let go of what wanted to explode, "Ah... Ah... Yes... Yes... Mmhh.. Mhhh.. Oh oh oh yah yah yah... " I made an awful sound a
We had our intercourse so the doctor could bring back the dead cells in my body to come alive. It might be unnecessary for me to feel it as if I was the hollow vampire queen, but I was enjoying it until I felt I didn't want to stop. And what surprised me was, I felt my wolf getting hot inside of me. The urge to mate, the urge to hunt. I didn't know what the result held, but I had the hunch I had to stop now before everything went south. Like usual, and just like that, even in the middle of a lustful entanglement that might never bring back any humans but to finish this intimacy until they reached the peak of their sexual activities, Dr. Lazlo Howard, the scientist and also an incubus that fed on human's life source, chi, just stopped, and asked question. As I didn't need to finish as well. There was half of the wolf in me, it didn't wake up fully yet. "Now, should we continue until we reach climax, or should we stop because I can use your living cells in your blood right now?" the
The doctor started the stimulation for the one-night experiment that he need to find the source of the synthetic blood. He said he could get it from my living DNA, which was impossible for me. But nothing was impossible as I was the result of the impossibility that nature could ever produce, the undead living from drinking the blood of the living. It might be as simple as that, but vampires had the urge to hunt and kill. I tried so hard to create my vampire system that didn't involve killing and hunting the innocent. ` What made it odder was the doctor started to bring the dead cells in my body to come alive. As in my body, he stimulated me. Since his incubus power involved sexual stimulation, thus it was what he did to me. I was pretty much only surrendering to his foreplay. His left hand was fingering the intimate folds that now I voluntarily opened my legs wider so he could freely ravish my body to wake up what was dead in me. I began to feel the electricity in the form of ting
I was explaining to the doctor the very heart of the problem and he tried to walk me through some solutions.I just didn't realize that the one night I decided to give him, was about to happen."We'll find a way, my queen. Don't you worry, I'm the incubus. I'm a perfect partner for a strong and wonderful creature like you."If I were human, I believed my face would turn red instead of my eyes when I drank the blood. But I wasn't. But I had to say it, "I'm flattered. No one ever speaks nicely like that to me. I don't know why, but you make me calm, doctor."I saw a glow when awkwardly I saw his lips budge a little bit displaying a hint of dimples. He held himself not smiling too wide. It was more like he was blushing. I didn't know how the incubus worked, but I saw him more like a normal human. The most intoxicating thing was the smell of the sun on his tan skin. I might just miss bathing in the sun. It was hard nowadays to do it without being burned under the sun. Well, I was the vamp
